Many of the areas that ...
Firstly, let me say I never expected to go on a cruise! I thought cruising was for wealthy people who were a little above the rest of us - yeah, right - how wrong can you be?! My husband and I booked a week long cruise on Liberty for our 25th wedding anniversary, and I devoured everything I could find about cruising before going as I felt a little overawed. There were some questions I couldn't ...
I found this cruise almost faultless, despite hearing that Royal Caribbean had reduced their standards in practically every area. Although prices have clearly increased for their European cruises, in my experience the standards on board Liberty of the Seas were better than ever.
The check in process was all done on arrival in Barcelona Airport which made embarkation on to the ship (via the exit) ...
Just back from our first European cruise, and it was wonderful!
Embarkation was a breeze. We're Platinum status and had priority check in. Found our Promenade stateroom quickly, and our excursion tickets were waiting for us along with our Meet & Mingle invitation.
We had main seating (6:30) for dinner, and had a table for two as requested. Our waiter Elvis and assistant waiter Daniela were ...
Almost a last minute choice we booked this cruise directly with RCCL - our third cruise, but first with Royal Caribbean. We had two, neighbouring Junior Suites, connected through the balconies. The suites were in great condition, and they were clean.
Check/in and security check was probably the fastest I ever experienced so far. As I read before in CruiseCritic, I expected some shopping ...
Just returned from our first cruise with Royal Caribbean on Liberty of the Seas. Before leaving I was a little worried as some reviews had not been so good especially about smoking and children. However during the whole cruise we did not have one issue with either.
Our cruise departed from Barcelona was very straightforward and within 20 minutes we were onboard. However when we first arrived at ...
We did the August 11 sailing which stopped in Corsica instead of Villefranche. It coincided nicely with Napoleon's birthday celebration, but the person at the excursion desk seemed unaware of that. Corsica was a fantastic port. No tendering and you just walk off the ship into the center of Ajaccio. There is a public beach less than 10 minutes walk. Too bad we were only there until 1 pm.
In any ...
Taxi from the Poblenou area of Barcelona to the port cost 25 euros. Embarkation very quick and easy as we are gold members we skipped the queues and went straight to the front. RCC tried to make us wait to have our photo taken but we politely declined. Boarded ship at around 1245 and were advised our balcony stateroom was ready. After dropping off our hand-luggage in our impressive room (7370) we ...
Spent a couple of days in Barcelona prior to boarding Liberty of the Seas and really enjoyed the city I would recommend Barcelona to most anyone it is very easy to get around in the city and there are several very nice museums and of course the Familia Sacarada is a work of art that is a must see.
Embarkation was a breeze we are Platinum Crown and Anchor member and all of us were on board in less ...
