I am an experienced traveler and had some Marriott vacation club points to use or lose so booked this ten night trip from Barcelona to the Canary Islands and Morocco. Neither of those destinations were worthwhile. Cádiz was interesting. Celebrity is no different than RC or Norwegian. Same tawdry shops, casino, silly activities, mediocre food, staff who fake that they like their jobs. The cruise ...
This was an extremely disappointing cruise. The boat is much older and the passengers where not friendly at all. The staff where friendly for the most part but we where turned away for dinners that we paid for because we did not dress fancy enough for their standards. Some of the staff made fun of my outfits and specifically my hats which fueled the guests prejudice. They where bot really very ...
A family member selected this cruise.
Good news: interesting ports, the wait staff (Juan & Clara) were excellent, the food was okay - very good in specialty restaurants. Bad news: everything else. The ship is very worn and tired. The cabin upholstery has holes and the bathrooms need help. For days the ship had no Kleenex. The entertainment was loud and “canned” ( I did like the acrobats ...
Originally we chose this cruise mainly because of the ports it was due to stop at in Israel, Egypt and Cyprus, but this itinerary was amended when Israel declared war on the Palestinians and these ports were replaced by others in Turkey and Tunisia. This was obviously not the fault of Costa Cruises.
Overall we enjoyed the cruise, but not Costa and unfortunately we wouldn't ever travel with them ...
Nautica is a beautiful little ship. The crew were wonderful. Unfortunately this didn’t make up for a number of other issues relating to this supposedly upmarket company.
1. The itinerary change was so drastic it didn’t resemble what we booked in any way. Other ships still visited Egypt, Oman and Salalah and these ports were cancelled on our trip. The day we were meant to visit Athens was windy ...
Cruise had a great itinerary and we thought Celebrity was a step up from our traditional RCL cruises. The ship Infinity was in rough shape.
Cabin was noisy, we were woken many morning s at 6 am from crew making noise above us. AC and heat were difficult to control
Day 2 - The ship had severe problems with power on the 2nd day causing them to shut the ship down for about 6 hours for repair. ...
The ship was really old and our inside cabin on deck 3 was full of mold in the bathroom. The interior was from the 80’s and looked really dull.
The service was great though and the restaurants was really nice with awesome service from the waiters. The Theater was also ok and provided various of artists, real proffesional ones.
The solarium was humid but not that warm at all, which was a ...
Took this ship over to Barcelona and back to Port Canaveral for the "replace the whale tale" transatlantic cruises. Wow, what a mistake! First mistake was not knowing that you don't take a cruise on a ship that's going into or out of dry dock because there will be contractors working on various aspects of the ship all during the cruise. Fortunately, we weren't bothered by this in our cabin ...
This is our first time cruising with Celebrity and we chose this cruise line after reading the great reviews and because of the itinerary. But this cruise was different from what we were expecting.
The positives: Embarkation and disembarkation, entertainment, and cleanliness throughout the ship.
The negatives: As soon as we were settled, we wanted to see the ship and get familiar with it. ...
This is my 6th cruise on X.
Ports of call all excellent - very nice having small-fee shuttle service provided by Celebrity to city center was great.
Ship is old, tired, broken and in desperate need of the impending drydock.
Team is short staffed and tired - this is typical for post-pandemic cruising.
We were in an Aquaclass A2 cabin - fairly dated, some broken parts and some downright ...
