Ship is badly in need of an update and suffered numerous mechanical and scheduling issues on the 10 Night Spain/Portugal trip.
Staff did their best but seem to be significantly under-staffed compared to pre-Covid levels so service siffers. Persian Garden was only 25% operational and priority embarkation seems to be only available at beginning and end of cruise.
The cost of the Retreat is ...
The cruise was meant to be a relaxing break and booked a Concierge cabin that was partially obscured.
On boarding we were left to our own devices, no assistance in finding our way to the cabin and when in the cabin no information on or where the welcome aboard lunch was being held. The concierge cabin was no different to other standard balcony cabins. The glass in the veranda had a crack ...
This was our 5th Oceania cruise, and will be our last.
First- the good- ship is beautiful and staff and room attendant amazing!
We had a great extended balcony corner, and as previously asked about loungers on extended balconies- we were allowed, and saved me as I was sick for the last week.
The bad- I had the runs for a week and realized it was the filtered sea water they serve on ...
This was our first – and last – cruise on Azamara. We’ve been on about 15 cruises on five different cruise lines, but we’ve never had such a miserable experience with a cruise company’s office and corporate personnel before. Apparently, the transition from being a part of Royal Caribbean to independence has been a rocky one. The website almost never worked, and I spent days and hours on hold ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, the smaller ship size, the expectation of great food and service, and our past experience with Oceania. The cruise overall was wonderful. The ship was clean, our penthouse suite was amazing, and the ports were awesome! This was our first time visiting Spain and Portugal and we loved it!
Embarkation was a disappointment. We asked numerous times ...
This cruise went from and to all the places we had not been to in the Mediterranean and we had heard so much about Viking "hospitality." We changed from a Viking River Cruise from Amsterdam to this cruise.
I would caution anyone signing up for a Viking excursions to do their research on what the meaning of their "moderate" is. We, unfortunately, signed up for two full day excursions early in ...
We have been on the Sea for 5 days and have not had live tv. They have been very non responsive in explaining the problem. They said that some cabins have it and have given excuses every time i call guest services, but no announcement to the ship to explain the problem. We have been on over 60mcruises , including Viking, and never had this problem other than intermittent outages.
I also think ...
Dear ruppert18,
We appreciate the time you took to provide a detailed review of your recent cruise around the Baltic Sea. We are sorry to learn of the difficulties you encountered accessing...
The old saying "you get what you pay for" does not apply to Viking. We paid for a high-end, upscale cruise and got a 3 star experience. At the price point paid I expect to get personalised service as has been experienced on other ships at this price point. It is the little things that make a big difference and Viking seem to be missing this point compared to similar cruise lines. If I had paid ...
We appreciate the time you took to provide a detailed review of your recent voyage around the Baltic Sea, KatielouAustralia. We are delighted to hear that you found interior spaces to be...
Scenic Jasper Budapest to Amsterdam 2017 (Oct18 to Nov 1). Cabin 203 – Junior Suite
As I sit here early in the morning two days before the end of our cruise – and docked beside another river boat, I have no idea what the weather is like as it’s very dark in our cabin. If I want, I can look at the closed curtains of the cabin in the ship beside me, but I choose to watch the Bow Cam. Now, this ...
The Sirena was the new addition to the fleet and having sailed on all the others we thought we would like to be on it's inaugural voyage.
We took the section from Barcelona to Le Havre, 21 days. The SIrena is another of the old Renaissance ships. It was sold twice before Oceania purchased it last year and "refurbished" it. We expected something new and different, we got something old and ...
