Great Itinerary

Time of year and Itinerary. We stayed in Barcelona 2 nights prior. Had a chance to enjoy this delightful city, and no jet lag for the cruise! Favorites were Monaco, Dubrovnik and Kotor because they were so unique. Did several Cruise Critic excursions and they were awesome! Tour guides in Civitevecchia, and Livorno were great! Holland is very nice and predictably old school cruising. The ...

Arrived in Barcelona 2 days prior to the cruise definitely could of spent a few extra days there. Embarkation as smooth as silk as was disembarkation. This is the second time we have sailed in the Eurodam, and she didn't disappoint us at all. The cabin we had a Verandah Balcony Cabin love it plenty of room wardrobe space and love how they have put the TV on the wall. Our cabin stewards ...

Excellent first time experience on the Eurodam

We chose the Holland America Mediterranean Tapestries cruise mainly for the itinerary and moderate size of the ship. This was our first cruise. We stayed for two days on our own in Barcelona prior to embarkation and found it to be a very dynamic city. One could easily spend a week there. Embarkation was very smooth. The bags went straight off the taxi to a conveyor; security and printing of ...

Staff, crew, and cruise experience: This was our first cruise, and we're hooked. Apart from a minor hiccup with the computers going down at embarkation, the staff and crew ran the rest of our 28 day cruise like clock work. From the friendly staff at the bars, restaurants, and our totally epic stateroom attendants, they made a great experience even better. Captain Timmers had a fantastic ...

We chose this cruise as it was the right timing for us leaving from where we were staying in the tail end of our honeymoon travels . We loved the Tamarind restaurant and the dining room, We tried Pinnacle restaurant twice and were disappointed twice with missing orders and dreadful desserts and we are not hard to please! Great gymnasium with helpful staff, enjoyed the thermal pool and lounges. ...

The air conditioning in rooms 1124 and 1126 does not work properly. After number complaints it could not be fixed. I did get 400 credit for each room. But I would have preferred more since it was so hot during our trip. Be warned. The dining was really good. Enjoyed all the food from various differnt venues. The excursions wer over priced. Definitely get those on your own if you can. The ...

My concept of a Mediterranean cruise is Barcelona to Venice. We've sailed with Celebrity, Princess and Azamara and based on everything I knew I was fully expecting Holland America to meet or exceed our past experiences. It was not to be. The ports of call and HAL's shore excursions we all wonderful. But the ship design (pools and atrium), and more importantly the food and service fell very ...

Wonderful Cruise, Quality Cabin

We chose this cruise because it was going to the places we wanted to visit. We had traveled with Holland America in Alaska and really enjoyed it so, although the Eurodam is quite a big ship, we thought we would enjoy sailing with HAL again. Then we discovered a terrible review of HAL from a traveler who had stayed in the very cabin we had booked, 7038. I have to say it made me extremely anxious ...

My husband and I had never traveled to the Mediterranean. This trip had been on our bucket list for years. We are so thankful to have had this amazing experience. Our main reason for cruising is to give us an opportunity have a taste of many ports, unpacking only once. We look for a clean ship, with good food and friendly service. Holland America delivers on all points. Our balcony room on deck ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. Our previous cruises have been on Celebrity, Princess, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival. The itinerary was wonderful and the ports were very interesting. My 2 star rating is due to the following reasons. 1. The ship needs serious updating. Everything seems dark and dull. 2. The internet system is ridiculous. Only one person in the cabin can ...
