Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

I am now platinum latitudes on NCL and this was our second and probably our last time sailing on the Epic. While the itinerary was good the ship is showing it's age. We always get a great size balcony quiet aft location. Bathroom needs to be remodeled. Had to ask for the in room coffee maker as they removed them. Best restaurants Moderno and le Bistro and the noodle bar. We usually order the ...

Norwegian Epic from august 17-28 Mediterranean cruise Negatives: I’ve been on many cruises before and I wouldn’t recommend this boat Sales person advised wifi was unlimited with our package. They only give you 150 minutes the whole time. You have to login, and we tested it by forgetting the network, we lost 30 min. The guy in library said maybe they were doing an update. They ...

Dirty ship, rude staff and horrible excursions

We unfortunately thought this was a newer larger boat. Instead it’s outdated, small and dirty. The excursions we purchased through the cruise line were so bad but the tours we purchased off the boat at a fraction of the cost were excellent. They now charge you additional taxes for every drink you have using your prepaid unlimited beverage package and $20/day per person for staff gratuities. I ...

First Time, Last Time with Norwegian - Balcony Suite, Norwegian Epic

I was so excited to book this cruise for my family; the ports of call were just what we were looking for, and the biggest selling point for me was 2 days in Florence rather than 1 like other cruise lines. Despite the beautiful ports of call, the cruise itself left so much to be desired. To summarize, here's the list. Pros: - Ports of call Cons: - Cancelled the stop in Sardinia, ...

20 Days on the Sojourn

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Sojourn

We decided to cruise on the Seabourn, having only done one other cruise with them. We did back to back cruises, starting in Barcelona and ending in Rome 20 days in all.Embarkation was good. The ship softgoods (interiors of cabins} very very tired. They were in dry dock during Covid, and it would have been a good job to re-do those dark cabins, with lighter fabric. Our penthouse suite was very ...

I love the Epic so booked this cruise and I'm so glad I did, yes it was really hot due to the heatwave, but we coped and the air conditioning on the ship helped so much. The staff were amazing all so friendly and helpful, the restaurants were great always friendly and with me been vegetarian they were way more than helpful ensuring they got me the vegan menu and ensuring I was happy with what I ...

Total disappointment and misleading "all inclusive"

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

We have not cruised for a few years the last cruise being on Costa. NCL appeared to offer a good mix of entertainment restaurants and decent staterooms. I wish I had read the reviews before booking though as the trip turned out to be a total disappointment. The ship is old and has an underlying smell of sewage in the corridors, lifts did not work and everything looked tired and in need to ...

Great Trip with a Poor Ship

This cruise was chosen for the itinerary which was as great as expected. But the weird ship design and cost cutting by NCL took away from it all. NCL is just cutting too many corners. Hard working staff members did an admirable job of keeping everything ship shape but there were no extra touches. Staff members all seemed a bit over worked. This impacted service. Food qualify was also not quite ...

Where do I begin?? - Pools are all hot. Told by asst director Danny, that they are maintained at 32C/90F when tested on board the temperature was 36.5C/97F. These are hot tubs!!! A summer Mediterranean cruise where we had no place at all to cool off while on board the Epic. Absolutely no shade and hot tubs. If that is what you call relaxing, well good for you. I would tell staff and they would ...

This ship is dated no promenade, no new updates. The rooms are small and uncomfortable with little room to store clothing for a10 day cruise. The pools on the ship are small and extremely crowded. There is a The pools on the ship are small and extremely crowded. There is an area towards the back of the ship for adults only which looks like a small pond without a covered area.
