A cruise with good entertainment

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Pacifica

Embarking and disembarking were easy and quick. The cabin (although was a little small) was comfortable and clean. The food (dinner) was a little disappointing in terms of portion but is very tasty. The facilities were good but i was expecting a little more things to do while sailing. The pools and hot tubs were always busy so didn’t get to enjoy them. However, we found ourselves enjoying a vast ...

A nightmare, but not a cruise

A complete mess. The food is tasteless, old, yesterday and cold. Breakfast includes yesterday's cold baked potatoes straight from the fridge. Omelet and scrambled eggs are cold and yesterday. Your kitchen food, tragedy and nightmare. There were not even fresh vegetables like fresh cucumbers or fresh tomatoes. There is no buffet. Food is rationed, the chefs do not understand what the customer ...

British customers on Costa cruises

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Firenze

The ship is fantastic, the cabin great. Cabin staff, bar staff and restaurant staff excellent. The food was adequate, but not exceptional, we resorted to eating in the speciality restaurants on a number of occations to relieve the bordom. At dinner we could not get menues in English but other nationalities did not have this problem. We were treated with disrespect, in the form of racism by the ...

Our first and last Costa Cruise

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Pacifica

Originally we chose this cruise mainly because of the ports it was due to stop at in Israel, Egypt and Cyprus, but this itinerary was amended when Israel declared war on the Palestinians and these ports were replaced by others in Turkey and Tunisia. This was obviously not the fault of Costa Cruises. Overall we enjoyed the cruise, but not Costa and unfortunately we wouldn't ever travel with them ...

A cheap, cheerful but interesting itinerary, spoiled by an unpleasant disembarkation and offhand customer service.

I hadn't cruised with Costa before, but with 5 other lines. The itinerary (Spain to Brazil) interested me as a biologist and natural history photographer, and the price was very reasonable, probably because the relocation nature and the lack of port visits meant the ship was (according to the crew) about half empty. My double cabin, for one person and no single supplement, was outstanding value ...

Too busy, way too long lines!

We thought it would be fun to do this cruise. The places we arrived were nice. The cabin with balcony was very good. Food and drinks tasty. But, the crowds at the lifts and in the lifts, the crowds when leaving the boat and returning to the boat, the queues at reception and the fact that bars were regularly closed, which meant that the bar that was open was very busy. And you have to wait a long ...

Worst vacation ever. Ripoff! Dishonest Misinformation and just awful.

I chose this cruise as it was part of the Ryder Cup official sponsor. Shame on the PGA for picking such an inferior partner and 3rd party to coordinate this vacation. It was awful and a waste of €4 thousand! The lack of communications, misinformation and just complete discombobulated events made this a horrible waste of time, ports and events. Costa Cruise - [ ] Delayed luggage, no iron, ...

More than adequate for our requirements

We wanted to visit Palermo, as my mom’s grandmother taught school there prior to coming to the US. This cruise was perfect for us and took us to so many beautiful ports; it was also refreshing to not have a cruise director/party central interrupting every hour or two. We enjoyed most meals, we had no problems with seating in the breakfast and afternoon tea buffets on deck 5 and 6 dining rooms ...

Costa Toscana... The REAL review...

Costa Toscana.. where to start.. lots to discuss For perspective purposes, I've never cruised the Med before, but I have cruised Alaska, Mexico and the Caribbean. I've traveled on NCL, RCCL, Princess, Carnival, Disney (and now Costa) on various 3-9 day itineraries so I consider myself to be a fairly seasoned cruiser in terms of expectations. I've traveled with little babies and now with young ...

New ship, not necessarily best experience

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Toscana

After returning from a vacation, we decided last minute to try Costa Toscana. Both my wife and I have worked in the Cruise Industry in the past. We wanted to share our experience with our 10yr old boy, to show him what cruising is/was like, for him to experience the things that we have experienced throughout our ship life careers. Most of the places we visited during this cruise, we have already ...
