The roomservice was exellent. Housekeeping spoke very good English. She took really good care of guests.
I was travelling solo, and the whole crew of the ship took really good care of me. The whole crew called me Madame. I dont like shows so much, and luckily the was a place on the ship where 2 gitarists sung songs from the last 30 years. I really enjoyed it, they played like pro's. Food was ...
My friend and I had often looked at cruises but were both very wary about seasickness. Whenever shopping we would always pick out outfits that would be 'good for our cruise'. In comment this June, I said 'We have loads of cruise outfits but no cruise", so we decided to bite the bullet.
As I was travelling from the Canary Islands and my friend from the UK, we decided to choose Barcelona as ...
We have just returned home from a weeks cruise around the Med on the Costa Diadema. This was my annual birthday cruise and we have cruised on the Diadema before, this was our 3rd time. I shall post comments on how we found our cruise experience to be but this will be a lengthy review. I shall be posting menus, and current drinks prices as well as extracts from the daily whats on programme. For ...
We chose this cruise mainly because of the price being £250 for 7 nights. We have been to all the destinations before but are happy being on any ship in the sun and not having to tear around sightseeing made for a relaxing time. This is our third Costa cruise this year. One has to ask how you can fault anything at this price but I'll try to be critical bearing in mind some will pay a lot ...
We chose The Diadema for a week's cruise around the Med to celebrate family birthdays. We were bowled over with the caring attentive staff on board - every single member working so hard to make our holiday a memorable one. This is, by far, the best cruise we have been on. All the staff went that extra mile. Everything on board was immaculate, fully equipped for your every need. The food was of ...
This is the newest ship in Costa's fleet and its big. The design is modern, rather than classic, but tastefully done. Cabins and balconies are slightly larger than average and there is plentiful public area seating when the weather is wet. Food is very good and drink prices are not the worst on the high seas.
The area that really surprised us was the excellent service levels. For a large ship ...
What a wonderful way to spend Christmas!
So wonderful we are already booking again for next Xmas!
This was our second cruise first time with Costa, previous one with MSC.
The highlight for us was the Xmas Eve Gala Dinner ( lobster and fillet steak just 2 of the many choices) and believe it or not having eaten so much on Xmas Eve I had not expected to enjoy another gourmet Gala 6 course ...
First of all, I have done 10+ cruises over the past 15 years, worldwide using different companies. My last time with costa was 2 years ago.I have read numerous posts/reviews that the standards have declined. I found this not so.
1. The DIADEMA. lovely new ship, great entertainment.loved the country rock bar (british/american live music)..and the theatre shows. As a solo traveller I didnt meet ...
I sometimes wonder whether some people's expectations are just too high.
My daughter and I have just got off the Costa Diadema and can honestly say we had a great week. Yes, you have to pay for water at dinner, yes, the service charge is mandatory and yes, there are Italians on board - but we all knew this (or should have known this) before booking.
The ship is shiny and new, the cabins are ...
