1-10 of 13 Barcelona to the Transatlantic Celebrity Reflection Cruise Reviews
This was our third transatlantic crossing, our tenth cruise in our five years of cruising together and our fifth cruise on Celebrity and it was, perhaps, the best yet. Just about everyone seemed at the top of their game. Everything cannot be perfect but almost all of this was with a couple of exceptions and they are noted below.
Some people complained about embarkation and I suspect those are ...
My wife and I did this cruise for our 25th wedding anniversary. On the ship there was definitely an older crowd. It was had to find anyone younger than us without a name tag. It made us feel young, but I am sure my kids would have felt out of place. Overall, we had a great time meeting people.
Crew
The best think about celebrity is the crew. Before we left, I read some CC reviews about ...
We cruised on Celebrity in the early 90 from FTL to Bermuda. It was first class and the food a gourmet’s dream. We developed a love for so many new foods on that cruise. We always wanted to try X again to see if corporate had cut quality of food and services as they had on other cruise companies we’ve tried recently. We have just in the last two years returned to cruising after a twenty year ...
Having wanted to try the solstice class ships and take a westbound transatlantic and sail a new ship - November 2012 offered us all three of our wishes in one trip. We used the Celebrity Choice Air services which was great and quite reasonable. We saved almost $1000 per person doing this. We booked in July of 2011 taking advantage of a $250 discount offered to past passengers. Then in the summer ...
We had an excellent, though not perfect experience on this wonderful new ship. Embarkation was messy. The many back to back cruisers complicated things by pushing their way through to get back on the ship - at noon. They had many complaints about not having a special line so they could re-board the ship without waiting. The computers appeared to be down, but once they were up we boarded ...
First transatlantic for us. When we arrived at the check-in terminal, it was crowded and we were notified of the "engine problem" the ship encountered and that we would not be going to Tenerife. Disappointed but okay with us. Ship gave a reasonable refund and tax credit.
The ship is beautiful. This was our first Solstice class cruise. We were on deck 11 and it was both convenient and quiet. ...
We booked a Concierge Class for our first ever Transatlantic Crossing. (Actually we had originally booked a Sunset Aft Balcony when my husband had second thoughts and we were able to move to a CC3 for 100 less per person). We really enjoyed the little extra perks like the Canapes that we could enjoy on our Veranda with wine brought on Board in Barcelona, nicer robes, pillows, and lounger ...
This was only our second cruise with Celebrity and our third in total. We have previously sailed for 4 weeks, transatlantic both ways, with Fred Olsen on the Black Watch and then, some 9 months ago, with Celebrity on the Century from Sydney to Auckland for two weeks departing Sydney on Christmas Eve 2011. The Fred Olsen cruise was small, luxurious and intimate giving us a taste for another ...
My husband and I just completed a transatlantic cruise on Celebrity's Reflection,a brand new ship. 3000 passengers, 2700 of whom were repeat Celebrity travelers, 1000 of whom were Elite status. It was our first time on Celebrity so I can only compare it to Holland America's Nieuw Amsterdam which we took 2 years ago from Barcelona to Ft. Lauderdale in it's maiden year. Both ships are beautiful ...
I should start by saying I wanted to love Reflection. After all, it's a bigger version of my favourite ship, Celebrity Eclipse. But bigger negatively impacted the experience in a few critical ways. See below for more.
Embarkation: When I say WORST EVER, I really mean it. And that includes the spring break-time Carnival cruise I took a long time ago with a ton of very drunk people in line for ...
