Carnival Cruise Reviews for Family from Barcelona

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Too many issues

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Freedom

This was our third Transatlantic cruise with Carnival and by far the worst. If this had been our first Carnival cruise we'd never set foot again on a Carnival ship. The cruise got off to the worst possible start and never really recovered to an acceptable level. It started on a sour note with Embarkation and finished on a sour note with Disembarkation, the bit inbetween was only slightly ...

This ship should be turned into a reef

Took this ship over to Barcelona and back to Port Canaveral for the "replace the whale tale" transatlantic cruises. Wow, what a mistake! First mistake was not knowing that you don't take a cruise on a ship that's going into or out of dry dock because there will be contractors working on various aspects of the ship all during the cruise. Fortunately, we weren't bothered by this in our cabin ...

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Carnival Pride

VIP member with seven past Carnival cruises, I booked the Pride with excitement of another fabulous cruise in a Vista Aft Suite with all kinds of perks, ie Priority Embarkation/Debarkation, laundry, bathrobes, exclusive dining... EMBARKATION: I was denied Priority Embarkation because the line was "closed"????, so I waited in the long line, shared my concerns with a Carnival staff supervisor ...

Old world charm on charming old ship

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Carnival Pride

We choose this cruise based on the ports, length and convenience. And based on this we were satisfied with the cruise and our choice. We have sailed a few times on carnival and found this ship very similar to other carnival ships with services, crew and food. Impressions: When you first board the ship you are overwhelmed by the décor which is OLD WORLD design style. At first its jarring ...

Vista Very Disappointing

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Carnival Vista

Take plenty of money if you are on Vista. It was the worst Carnival cruise we have done. Can you imagine you pay extra 6 bucks for fish and chips for lunch. We never met our cabin staff and the reflections restaurant was like some sort of cafe in a department store. The food and the service was about the same. There were no TV movies but if you want to see a movie in the theater you pay. You ...

A Great TransAtlantic Cruise!!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Vista

Although the décor of this new ship was lacking for me, this was a wonderful cruise across the Atlantic. I loved our stops in Gibraltar and the Azores. Ponta Delgada and the Azores is one of my favorite places on earth. It is gorgeous. The Vista is not elegant looking. I know they were trying to get away from glitz and be more sophisticated, but plain, mid-century modern décor just didn't do ...

Pros and cons about the Vista's inaugural TA

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Vista

We chose this cruise because there were a lot of people on it that we have cruised with before. That is always a plus. Now, I would like to compare the ship and crew with the first TA on the Dream. Well, there is no comparison. The restaurants on the Vista were great. The cabin stewards were awesome. The layout of the ship wasn't as confusing. The only downside was the stage area. There ...

We have cruised with Carnival 4 times previously and as UK residents took advantage of the Vista departing a European port prior to being assigned to it's home port of Miami. Normally to experience a Carnival cruise we have to first fly to the USA so this was a great opportunity to go transatlantic and from Europe. The ship is great I loved it, Carnival have departed from the "Versace on ...

Great ports of call but not a great ship

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Vista

We were first time Carnival passengers and found some good quality and some not so good quality. We had an inside cabin which was comfortable and great service from the cabin steward. We thought not printing all photos and having passengers choose what they wanted and print only those was very cost saving. What we did not enjoy was the theater which was used for entertainment and activities. ...
