Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Azamara Pursuit

We have been cruising since 1985 and have cruised on Royal Caribbean, Princess, Celebrity, Regent, Norwegian, Oceania and Viking River cruises. All have their pluses but we find Azamara Cruises to fit us best for several reasons. The staff on all Azamara ships are service-oriented, friendly and courteous. The size of their ships allow for docking in central locations and minimizing long and ...

Our first Viking cruise (17th overall cruise with multiple vendors, global-wide destinations, and 7-35 day durations). We found this to be the most complete and comfortable cruise experience with have had--engaging passengers, superbly attentive crew, amazing food, comfortable room with balcony, rarely a sense of a crowd especially in public spaces, seamless embarkation and disembarkation ...

Delightful Cruise on Viking Star Iberia, British Isles and Iceland

We chose this cruise because of the varied and interesting itinerary. Our only concern was which clothes to pack because of the different weather extremes we expected, but turned out the weather was perfect everywhere. Since Viking supplies convenient self-service laundry facilities, turns out we overpacked and next time we will be more judicious. This was our third Ocean cruise (10th overall on ...

Loved the itinerary

Because of the unique and amazing itinerary, we truly LOVED this cruise! Sailing to all of the very different ports made for a very interesting experience and one that we will never forget. The crew was great, especially the cruise director, Aebhin O' Neill and Jonny the assistant cruise director (don't recall his last name). The entertainment was top notch, especially the 4 Viking vocalists and ...

Review for a British Isles & Western Europe Cruise on Viking Star

The itinerary was a huge draw for me. So many places I'd never been topped off by Iceland and mixed with lovely visits to old favorites. Plus it was my first Viking cruise and a friend had raved about it. My only other cruise experience had been the Caribbean with island and Mexico stops. Not really my cup of tea, large ships, lots of partying and the constant ding ding ding of the casino. ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Viking Saturn

We have sailed with other cruise lines but the service was deteriorating and we felt nickel-and-dimed at every turn. We had done one other Viking cruise and decided to see if Viking should be our go-to for ocean (already is that for river cruises). We were not disappointed. My favorite feature is the Atrium where there is a variety of live music. One can enjoy it with a glass of wine from the ...

Not ready to sail, Covid cruise

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Saturn

Fourteen day Cruise of lifetime and expectations too high. Loved previous river cruise before Covid. This one was beyond disappointing. Staff not fully trained. Shore excursions not setup well actually lost a person on tour. Food mediocre (unable to cut through steak or muffin for Benedict; inconsistent drinks at pool bar; fish offerings tough or chewy, speciality restaurants certainly not ...

Great vacation on a new ship

We selected this cruise because Covid canceled the Viking homeland cruise and the war in Ukraine greatly changed the original itinerary when we rebooked a year later. We were also impressed with this cruise itinerary because it included Spain, Portugal, Ireland, and Iceland, all destinations on our bucket list. The cruise was just perfect, the food was fantastic. We greatly enjoyed the two ...

We've tried Viking river cruise 2022. And Saturn is our first time with Viking. I actually expected more from Viking.

We picked Viking ocean cruise because 1) we tried Viking river ocean in 2022 and we loved it. 2) Saturn is a new ship. Our family have cruised perhaps more than 35+ times in our life time and tried many different cruise line. Since my husband and I retired 10 years ago. We prefer the intimacy of the smaller ship, ships that are under 1000 passengers. We usually cruise with Oceania, Regent ...

An Intriguing Itinerary

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Saturn

What caught our attention for this cruise was the Itinerary. We went on our first Viking cruise last summer on an expedition ship (Octantis) to the Great Lakes and thoroughly enjoyed our Viking experience. Although, there were 5 sea days on this cruise, when we did find port, we very much enjoyed our excursions. The guides were knowledgeable and the pre-port lectures were helpful. The ...
