Allure Review Transportation - We shared a cab from the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel to the port for only 20 Euros. Great ride at a great price despite the traffic. On boarding - Totally easy. At the Barcelona port I gave the tagged checked bag to the porter and quickly headed to the RCCL check-in. For Gold members there were very few in line. Post check in but prior to boarding the ship ...

Allure of the Seas 9/13-9/20/2015 After so many months of reading everyones reviews, comments and ideas, it was finally our turn to cruise the Med on the Allure. Having never done the itinerary or such a large ship, I had to rely on the research and CC members didn’t let me down. Stayed 2 nights pre-cruise in Barcelona at Hotel Jazz. Highly, highly recommend! It’s in the perfect location- ...

A Fantastic Experience If You Plan Ahead

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Allure of the Seas

This was our first cruise and we had a great time. We booked a balcony cabin and ended up on the 14th floor, mid-ship on the port side. Our room attendant was a treasure, friendly and helpful and most of the staff on board went out of their way to make our cruise a pleasant experience. The ship was massive but even with more than 5000 passengers and over 2000 crew it did not feel crowded. The ...

It is 5 AM, and I am in California, but still on Europe time. About 72 hours back, but still can't sleep much past 3:30 AM, so I decided to do this review. Keep that in mind. This was my third cruise; second on Royal Caribbean, both to the Mediterranean. I will start by saying my first cruise was about fifty years ago, and such a disaster (think Titanic; I didn't drown, but that was sort ...

The Preliminaries. TA booked us into a hotel in the Barcelona suburb of Poblenou, 15 Euro taxi from Las Ramblas. Melia was uber modern and very comfortable. The area had two malls for last minute shopping, H&M, Zara, Burger King etc. wife was spoiled for choice. Had a lovely meal in a local street restaurant on Saturday evening with local families, local food well cooked and at local prices. ...

Great Ship; Not Too Crowded Considering the Size

We have sailed on RC many times, and Barcelona was the easiest port ever in terms of embarkation. Upon arrival at the ship, porters met us at the taxi and took our luggage immediately, so we didn't have to drag bags at all. Check in began at 11, and obviously most people waited until later, because we had no wait at all and were heading onboard within about 15 minutes. NOTE: There is a duty ...

We sailed on the Allure in January around the Caribean and were so impressed that we booked again for August sailing out of Barcelona which was ideal for us with only a 2 hour flight this time from Manchester. Embarkation and disembarkation was the quickest we have ever experienced. The ship is lovely. Yes it's large but it easy to find your way around with the monitors. We found 90% of ...

We just come back from 7 days (East Mediterranean sea) dirty ship and cabin bathroom, understaffed all the time, image a lane of 40 people to get a mediocre dinner, lunch or breakfast at windjagger, always the same food, no new variations, you will finish eating a sandwich anywhere...bc you are tired of the same stuff, disorganized staff and unprofessional. My wife get food poisoned, be aware that ...

My wife, myself and our two teenage daughters (13 and 17) embarked on our first ever cruise on Allure of the Seas, The boat is amazing and as first time cruisers a little daunting at first. It probably took us a couple of days to "tune into" the cruise experience but once we did the amount of free you can find is amazing if you know where to look!! Best thing to do assume its free as someone ...

We travelled from within Spain by car to Barceleona the day before we were due to sail. Parked in the World Trade Centre Car Park, using their cruise parking deal, and stayed in the hote located above it - the Eurostar Grand Marina. The hotel was good with fantastic views of Barcelona and literally just a few minutes from the cruise port, visible from the hotel. Embarcation at noon was ...
