This ship is way too big and carries too many people. We did the western European cruise so every day there were five to six thousand people attempting to have breakfast at 7 am in order to make their tours. The line for the main dining room was huge. We had to settle for the fare of the Park Cafe which was rubber eggs on cardboard muffins. The coffee was good. We did order room service for ...
This was to be a very special trip for us. A 25th celebration, 25 years in the making to travel to Europe and experience a great ship, which was our first cruise and I had hoped a start to several cruises in the future. I had heard from several on Cruise Critic that it was a great ship; we were starting at the top.
I don't come away with that 100% certainty to book future cruises I had ...
We cruise with Royal because they are a very good cruise line with a great choice of entertainment, excellent staff and a high standard in dining options. As well as that they allways have a very good range of nationalities which adds to the cruise experience. We were very upset and disappointed with this trip. We ended up on a ship holding a convention for 4,400 people from Central and South ...
I consider myself a fairly seasoned traveller who is not "high maintenance", but this experience prompted me to alert others to proceed with caution when booking on Allure of the Seas. Before you book, especially if the cruise seems quite full even though you are booking far in advance, INSIST on knowing if there is a big group on the cruise because it can ruin your experience.
In our case, ...
As an experienced traveller, I was looking forward to my first RC cruise. There were definitely positives, but also a few large negatives.
Food - good selection, no complaints. Not excellent food but definitely good. Windjammer has long wait times in peak hours.
Dining room - slow service. Disappointed by attire on formal nights ... people wearing Jean shorts, etc were allowed in. ...
This was my 8th Cruise. I totally agree with a previous review that our cruise was very impacted by the large group of 3000 and not in a good way. We had 5 port days and finding a place to have quick breakfast was a challenge. There were long line ups for the Windjammer that could be 15-20 minutes. So we left to find another place to have quick breakfast - Johnny Rockets worked but opened at ...
Shame on Royal Caribbean!
This was my 3rd time on Allure, I'd done a back to back 4 years ago during spring break with a sold out ship and it was nowhere near as messed up as this cruise was.
A company chartered this cruise for over 3000 of their sales people. These people totally overwhelmed the ships crew, the ship, the open spaces - in other words EVERYTHING!
It began at the port ...
the ship was much the same as the Oasis of the seas, with one major difference, the staff were not friendly. the check in staff at the port were very friendly and were most efficient, we got through no problem. our cabin was on the aft side, all the amenities that we wanted to do were at the other end of the ship. this meant we had a 10 min walk to breakfast and any show that we wanted to see. we ...
I was planning a trip to Spain with my friends. And one of my friend suggested me to do a cruise and he insisted me to do this one specifically "THE ALLURE OF THE SEAS" He showed me some videos of the cruise but i was not ready to believe that this is the actual cruise. but their was a glitch again. We wanted to cruise only for 3 nights because it was our first time sailing. So we were ...
My husband and I just came home from the Allure of the Seas cruise. There were things we liked about the ship and things we didn't. Our stateroom was good size, we upgraded to a balcony. I had no complaints about it.
Dining was a true disaster! There is no way they were prepared to feed a full ship of people. Windjammer was always, always packed. Food was ok there if you could find a ...
