So, my wife and I started with our first booking on any cruise line in over five years with a spur-of-the-moment trip to the Caribbean. We literally booked the cruise from our home in the Dallas-Fort Worth area on 1/18/24 and landed in Barbados the following day (1/19/24), boarding Explora I that same afternoon.
Let that sink in: After completing the booking mid-afternoon of 1/18/24, we ...
My wife loves to cruise -- me -- not so much. And as we live in Miami, the lure of the Caribbean is limited -- give me Key West, anytime. But just got back from the Explora, with dear friends, and it was truly amazing -- a floating Four Seasons is the best way to describe it. The restaurants were all terrific. The only so-so meal was my own fault. At Marble, the steakhouse, the server warned us ...
WOW! What a memorable experience we have had sailing aboard Explora I – literally the experience of a lifetime!!
From the moment we set foot on Explora I, we watched the Crew work nonstop, going well above and way beyond to make sure that everyone’s experience is world class.
Their eagerness to assist and their attention to detail – all the way from the Captain to the Room Steward – is ...
I have recently returned from Explora 1 Caribbean Cruise and would highly recommend this cruise.
As an avid cruiser and been on many ships - this to me is more like a giant yacht with all the facilities of a larger cruise, however, smaller number of guests, giving you the cruiser a much more enjoyable experience.
The ports of call were lovely (visiting smaller islands within the Caribbean ...
This ship is amazing. I really don’t understand any of the previous negative comments that I’ve read. All I can say is that, if all some people can complain about is the number of “nicknacks” on shelves, then it can’t be too bad! Come on, first world problems!
The design of the ship is first class. No huge open spaces but lots of smaller quiet areas for relaxation and never very busy.
The ...
We picked this cruise for a few reasons. The dates were perfect, the price was good and who doesn't want two weeks in the Caribbean.
Was slightly concerned as I have food allergies, but I have to say, the chef was amazing. He made sure that everything I ate was safe for me to do so. 10/10 definitely, even had my own bread made for me.. can't thank him enough.
Really excellent embarkation and ...
12th cruise, first time on a TUI ship. Excellent itinerary. Had to wait on the runway for 95 mins as the plane wings had to be de-iced. No drinks were offered, a very poor show.
Overall the cruise was fantastic with no major complaints
. We had most of our evening meals at Gallery or Gallery 47. We always went at around 6-6:30 never queued and only once there was no room at the Gallery, so ...
Well I had a wonderful cruise aboard this fine old lady of a ship!
I expected a friendly well run ship and that's exactly what I got. Really wonderful cabin - large and kept spotlessly clean by Nim who couldn't do enough for me (and reocmmend the wash and fold service at the end of the cruise, done so well didn't need to iron anything!)
I'm used to eating out in London several times a week ...
We chose Silversea some 18 months ago, because we have cruised with Regent and Seabourn and wanted to make a comparison. Silver Muse was a perfect choice because of the destination and timing. The "new ship" factor also helped!
We traveled to Barbados independently on the day before we embarked the ship. We have been to Barbados many times, and our stay was entirely in our hotel. ...
Well what can i say except for fantastic, the ship was great clean well maintained first look at it was wow, our cabin was 2574 and it was lovely enough room to move around so no complaints, all the restaurants where nice but the main restaurant was amazing food was excellent service excellent the 2 hostesses Snezana and Khrystyna where lovely always polite and had time to have a wee bit laugh ...
