We choose this cruise for the destinations, we did two weeks back to back Tropical Shores & Cocktail & Coconuts. The destinations didn’t disappoint and Dominica was the highlight.
However the onboard experience was the worst we have ever had. If you don’t mind bad food and like to drink a lot you will probably love it. It felt like Wetherspoons at Sea but that would be doing Wetherspoons ...
The good stuff
1) Service staff were all fantastic, enthusiastic and willing to help ( with exception of 1, the read head in destination services)
2) Cabin was spacious and clean.
The not so good stuff
1) The quality of the food. As a vegitarian I found the choice limited and the quality of what was offered was not very good.
2) The smoking area on deck 12 right next to the jogging ...
Memorable cruise but unfortunately memorable for all the wrong reasons, if you’re looking for a cruise with good food, luxury accommodation, excellent service, then do not book this. Butlins has more quality than this cruise. Food was typical British like Bacon, eggs and baked beans for breakfast. Buffet at dinner had a lot of choice but wasn’t the best quality, cold food and over cooked.
If ...
First Marella Cruise ,It started badly with a cabin move despite booking a deluxe balcony cabin September 2021 we were moved to an alternative deluxe balcony cabin minus sofa coffee table and fridge offered £50 compensation, for cabin change and £50 per person for missing furniture all added to our ship board account ( on an all inclusive cruise ) which we found very difficult to spend. The food in ...
We chose TUI because it included their flights to and from Barbados, also we had sailed on this cruise ship a few years ago and had a fairly good cruise. The flight was delayed at Gatwick due to some passengers packing lithium batteries in their hold luggage, all bags had to be off loaded and the offending batteries removed. That caused a delay of well over an hour. The flight was uneventful and ...
We chose this cruise to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and to have New Year in the Caribean. We were told this was a new ship and would meet all our needs !!!
The cabin was old, tired and next to the engine on the fourth floor. The noise from the engine when at sea and when docking was so loud it was unbearable. We had no sleep and the cabin shook so much all the fittings fell of the ...
We chose this cruise to celebrate our Ruby anniversary, and wife's 75th birthday. Upgraded seating on plane, luggage allowance, and to a extra large balcony cabin. Start with the cabin. You can't control the air con. It is either hot or cold. everyone had dry cough's, and colds. The bathing area is at least 8 inches higher than the cabin floor. This is awkward, and dangerous at our age. The toilet ...
This was my 33rd cruise and by far the worst , food was very poor the main restaurant very slow and presentation was like a cafe, quality of food like a back street pub, reception a total joke 5 times we requested certain things and was completely ignored, but the most alarming thing was the attitude of the general manager who accused me of cheating at the casino even after cctv showed I wasn’t ...
We chose this cruise as a way of exploring the beautiful islands of the Caribbean and they really were wonderful, thinking that a cruise would be the ideal way to relax and wind down from our stressful working lives - HOW WRONG WE WERE!
First the good points - The crew. The staff were incredible, so engaging, friendly and helpful, they made you feel like long lost friends from the moment you ...
My family and I have cruised with Thompsons many times in the past and we have always had a fantastic experience. I thought the change of name to Marella was quite simply that, a name change, but that is obviously not the case.
The entertainment on board is the worst I have ever experienced on any cruise, its Butlin’s at sea, cheap and extremely irritating. The team responsible for your ...
