First half of a back to back cruise

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

Rhapsody of the Seas Boarding the Ship Barbados – Total chaos. No directions as to where to go, just sending passengers anywhere. It took hours. We’ve never had this problem before. Miami – We were on a ‘back to back’ cruise but were told we had to get off the ship in Miami. The day before, we attended a meeting and were given instructions. We were told we would be checked in on the ...

Nice ship but everything else is bad

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Mein Schiff

No problems with it being a German speaking ship. Despite a good hard product with comfortable cabins (including Nespresso machines), a 25 metre pool, expansive included sauna facilities, a choice of restaurants and a broadly inclusive package, unfortunately the soft product means it will be a no go line in the future. 1. The included wines are undrinkable and the ones for purchase are ...

We are Diamond members but this was our first cruise on Royal since the pandemic. I chose this itinerary because it visited 7 islands in 8 days. 5 of the islands were new to use. Since everyday was a port day, I figured a small ship would be ok. The crew was amazingly friendly. It almost felt like they are using the smaller ships for "training". Our cabin attendant was new (he told us) and ...

Okay but not great

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

My worst RC cruise was on the Grandeur, I know some people did millions of cruises on her from Baltimore but as an overseas traveller I just felt unwelcome starting from check in when they saw my British passport and asked if I was a visiting entertainer and finishing when no end of cruise excursions were offered. I deliberately booked a cruise from Barbados though and correctly assessed that ...

Reasonable but had no dinner

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

Biggest problem was that the windjammer was closed in the evening so we could not find anything to eat. We have restricted diets and did not go to restuarants to see a set menu. So each night we went to teh little cafe and had fruit and cookies. It might have been useful if they had given advance notice of WJ closure. In fcat the RCI app was showing WJ to be open in evenings - that was right upto ...

Great Itinerary - best time to cruise ever.

We loved this itinerary and price so much we booked back to back cruises. Royal Caribbean and the islands didn't disappoint. 12 beaches in 14 days. Some rain but it never lasted for more than a couple of minutes. The food was great and Johnathan ensured we had our usual window seat every night for dinner. Due to low numbers, the Windjammer buffet wasn't open for dinner the first ...

This is a review from people travelling from the UK as the procedures do seem to be different depending on where you are travelling from. We found the protocols and procedures unnecessarily complicated. Having to fill in forms both on the RC app and the RC website and the bimsafe app we must have printed out over 50 pieces of paper in total! Saying that it was all worth it. Our ...

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Azura

We had cruised on Azura in Jan 21 and it was so good we booked again. Manchester airport was a nightmare and it took 3 hours 40 min from bus drop off till we cleared security. mostly because of covid testing and not enough TUI check in staff. We had booked the Aspire lounge but had to walk briskly from security to the departure gate in time for boarding. £50 down the drain. The check in etc ...

In rather unfortunate circumstances, my partner tested positive for COVID at the cruise terminal in Barbados. We were meant to sail on the 30/01/22 on board Grandeur of the Seas. On our day of boarding we arrived at the port terminal for our allotted time and completed our rapid antigen COVID tests as expected. Unfortunately my partner, tested positive, but I tested negative. A further 2 ...

A Superb Cruise & I felt totally SAFE

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Azura

We chose this cruise some months back when it was thought covid was slowing. It was an itinerary we had done before on Britannia. This was Azura's 3rd cruise after cruises were suspended. Although not an official figure it was thought there were about 1600 on board - half capacity, and most notably the age demographic was far far lower than cruises I have been on, well done younger people ...
