Cruising the Carnival Fascination Local Style

As a Barbadian local, I have cruised this itinerary a couple times before on the various ships carnival has placed here. This time was with my dad and aunt to celebrate my aunt's 60th birthday. The ship was pretty small but was clean and though it didn't have all the bells and whistles a larger ship would, had plenty places to relax, sit and lounge around. My only complaint would be that though ...

Maybe we was on a different ship than what has been reviewed before. first of all a few bits of rust and worn carpets wont bother our holiday experience. Secondly I do not write letters to the captain with the slightest complaint and proceed to tell everyone within earshot. we all know Azura is going in for refit but the ship is in very good condition considering over 3000 passengers use it 365 ...

Glitzy ship, good staff, food was a disappointment

We boarded in Barbados having flown from the UK, embarkation was late due to delays with luggage at the airport and there was no welcome when we got on the ship We were on board for 14 nights and found that there was a lot more attention given to other groups when they arrived, the focus seemed to be on French guests Our cabin, a balcony on deck 13 with the Aurea experience was good, ...

Sadly cut backs are very noticeable on the Azura. Food was excellent in all venues. Cabin appeared clean and steward was great, sadly they no longer have time to do the wonderful animal towels as they now have a greater volume of rooms to clean. sadly when we pulled our suitcase out from under the bed it was covered in dust! Although we no longer pay tips on P+O most people still gave at ...

I booked two weeks on the Marella Celebration last minute after our original plans fell through. I've cruised before, though never Marella and never on a ship as old or small as the Celebration and after reading some of the reviews here, and watching YouTube videos of noisy cabins, I was wondering if I'd made a dreadful mistake. Fortunately things were great and we had a wonderful time. Our ...

Overall a very enjoyable cruise for 2 weeks around the Caribbean. I have to admit I do wonder about some of the comments of others and the issues they highlight, apart from an issue with the toilet/shower extractor fan the ship was clean & well presented with a fantastic staff. Flew from LGW on a TUI charter so luggage checked in is next seen on board. Very comfortable flight with decent ...

Boarding the ship in Barbados was a well organised operation. After leaving the TUI flight from Manchester we directly boarded a bus which took us to the Azura where a bank of staff processed credit cards and signed everyone in. We took on board the allowed 2 x 1 litre bottles of wine or spirit which is way more than other cruise lines. Once on board staff were on hand to direct us to our cabin ...

This was our second cruise on the Azura and are a couple in our 40s with a 8 and 10 year old. We had a really good time and enjoyed our time on board, but noticed slight differences from last time 2 years previously. The bar service around the pool. Yes it was busy on sea days, not as busy on non sea days as we did not get off at every port. But the bar service has slipped. Previously ...

Embarked in Barbados after a 3-day visit to that pleasant but (to me) mildly dull island. Embarkation was so easy we weren't sure if we were done (!) and cabin was available immediately. Our butler Daniel has helped me understand the point of a butler on a cruise ship (on prior ships we never saw them, didn't see the point) - eg. he polished my husband's shoes without us asking and found him a ...

MSC Preziosa - Yacht Club - 5-19 March 2019. Caribbean from Barbados via Cruise Club UK. The cruise consultant, Ian\, delivered on every promise and commitment made. He has been superb throughout the whole process and I would strongly recommend using his services if booking a cruise package. Our second Yacht Club experience having been on board Fantasia last year. We were a party of 6 ...
