Pleasantly surprised by quality of the ship.
"Sindhu & Glass House were excellent as expected- didn't get chance to go to Beach House as it was full when we tried.not at all necessary, despite what people will have you believe (we don't do shows, so can't comment on that side)...."Read More

Pleasantly surprised by quality of the ship.

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Britannia

Just come home from the Christmas cruise and really enjoyed it. Britannia was a pleasant surprise - a classy upgrade on our two previous trips on Azura. I was surprised how different the atrium felt (in a good way) when we were there, compared to how it looks in photos and videos - you can't get a feel for the ambience until you're there. It's smaller than it looks on screen, but there's ...

Not as good as previous Christmas cruises.

We have been on P&O Christmas cruises for years, flying from Manchester to Barbados usually 2 weeks duration but occasionally 4 weeks. This one was 2 weeks. Flight out was OK, a bit late but nothing like the debacle of 2022. We had special assistance at both Manchester and Barbados airports which worked well and instead of having to cram into small mini buses we had a private taxi for the journey ...

The holiday started with a flight on Tui Dreamliner which should have left at 11.10 am and took off at 12 noon due to fog at Gatwick. They served us free drinks just after take off including alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and tea and coffee. Then around an hour into the flight they served us lunch which was ok and you could have free wine with dinner. Bear in mind if you want to buy Duty Free on ...

P&O Britannia 14 Night Caribbean Cruise

In general the ship, staff and cruise destinations were good. Cabin was a standard with balcony which was ideal. Food and restaurants were of a very high standard. The Horizon buffet on deck 16 could be a bit of a free for all when busy. It felt like some other people could do with some manners, however apart from that no real complaints. Mind you there could be more water fountains to ...

Good But Not As Good As Before Covid

We had already cruised the Caribbean on 2 previous occasions but with Princess Cruises. We wanted to return to this destination for a third time as it is so beautiful and we chose P&O as they were offering a good rate. We got off to a poor start. Arriving at Bridgetown Cruise Terminal we had to stay on board our hot and stuffy coach for 2 hours while the ship was turned round due to a broken ...

This was our first P&O fly cruise – the festive Caribbean Christmas Cruise, departing from Birmingham on Dec 16th for 2 weeks. We have cruised with P&O before, but a long time ago, we more frequently cruise with Princess & Royal Caribbean. We were attracted by the itinerary on offer & the fact that it was a fly/cruise package. I did quite a lot of research on CruiseCritic (thanks again to ...

Joined a group of singles who were travelling on this cruise. Great itinerary visiting Barbados Curaçao Aruba Saint Vincent Grenada St Lucia Saint Kitts Antigua and Saint Maarten. Returned on Saturday 25th March. Masks had to be worn on board except in dining. All very straightforward at airport and cruise excursions. Warning-if you are a P&O traveller, the company requires an ...

Flight over was good and so were transfers to ship. Two days in Barbados to visit relatives then back to the ship to find out the ship was going straight back to Southampton due to CVIRUS. Big shame but we really enjoyed our time on board. Always something to do. Brilliant lectures from Tony White - Drug man!! Gym and classes good. Cabin fine, although had restricted view due to life ...

Poor end to cruise due to cancelled flight

Sailed on Britannia 1st Feb around the Caribbean on our third P&O cruise second time on Britannia, and apart from the usual sun bed hogging had a great time on board ship. Why people feel they need to reserve sun beds on both sides of the ship at 9 in the morning is beyond me. PO must do more about this as this was the worst we seen. Embarkation was easy straight off the plane on to awaiting ...

Overall, a good time was had by all. This was our second cruise. We went as 3 couples together so had quite a few points of views and opinions. I will try to give my hints and tips which I hope will be of use to future cruisers. Dining. I hate the self-service buffet. It's just like a factory canteen. I haven't paid £6k to eat in a factory canteen. We used it on 2 occasions when we had early ...
