A great choice for really slow cruising.

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Explora I

As our TA kept reminding us, my wife and I were among the first Belgians to book a cruise on Explora, almost as soon as this Panama sailing was announced. We thought that we knew enough about MSC's vision in terms of luxury, having sailed in their Yacht Club often enough and having reached the uppermost level in their loyal program. From the first images the ships looked great, but the info was ...

Nice ship, great crew, lots of kinks to work out but lots of potential!

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Evrima (Ritz-Carlton)

I just returned from a 10 day trip on the new Ritz Carlton ship-EVRIMA To be fair, I want to preface that the ship only launched in October and was not 100% ready, but there is great potential. We embarked in Barbados. There were NO Ritz Carlton staff at the pier when we arrived at 11:30. There were some contracted port staff. I understand that we were told to be there at 12:30, however, ...

Overall Silversea remains a top quality luxury cruise product. Unfortunately, embarkation for this cruise was the most unprofessional fiasco EVER experienced with "any" cruise. Shipboard systems apparently malfunctioned, so it created a problem in the usual boarding procedures. Hiccups can happen with all companies, but it is "how" the crew responds to such problems that underscores the difference ...

We sailed to the Caribbean for the weather. On the whole it was lovely weather. We chose Seabourn Odyssey for dates and itinerary. Embarkation in Barbados was not well organized; there was not a SB Rep indicating that the line to board the port shuttles to the ship should be kept inside...it was raining and people were queuing outside, as per port reps. More than 50 people waited for the ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Star Flyer

We decided on this cruise because of several factors - mainly for the islands they would be visiting and the Panama Canal passage. And, we like Star Clippers cruises, as you always meet other great people who love to cruise and have a great time. This was an opportunity to be on the ship for two full weeks, as the one week cruises go way too fast. Our cabin was fine, typical of most of the ...

My husband and I had done only 1 cruise before embarking on Arcadia in February 2008 to cruise the Caribbean, The Panama Canal and up to Acapulco. Our first cruise was on QE2 and so we thought it would be interesting to compare P&O with the Cunard experience. Our flight from Manchester to Barbados was good and we had upgraded on the First Choice Flight. We had been fortunate as people who had ...
