Great cruise but issues either end of it

Wonderful ship, very beautiful and luxurious. Great multi national smiling and efficient crew. Food and wines and entertainment all excellent. Our itinerary was good and the excursions also well, organised and enjoyable. Our issues are with the beginning and end of the cruise. The night before we were taken to Sam Lord’s castle on the east coast of Barbados. It’s the windy side if the island, ...

Regent really delivers luxury and at a high level. Naturally, there are occasional blips but this inevitable and does not take any from the overall experience. The service culture is evident. Management is visible and engaged in daily operations. I had not observed this on other cruise lines. The service staff is well trained, some are working on their english but all are clearly guest ...

Great cruise with Seabourn with minor critique

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

I just sailed on the Seabourn Ovastion with a seven day cruise, everything was as advertised and a great product value for money. The staff members are very attentive to your needs, and the cruise director especially so a lovely lady named Loula Geater was excellent in all facets odf her job. The food was to die for , the Seabourn Square with their cappucinos and lava chocolate chip cookies, the ...

Ovation needs refreshing!

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

We are still onboard the Ovation, coming to the end of our two week cruise. We are in the Wintergarden suite with an adjoining Veranda suite on deck 8. The accomodations are spacious, but showing wear; especially the sofa and dining table. The two chairs in the room are not comfortable chairs for getting cosy and reading. The mattress is worn on one side and there are lots of soft, but lumpy ...

Beautiful Ship - Not a 6 Star Experience

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

After 4 previous sailings on Celebrity, we wanted to experience "ultra luxury cruising." We are an active couple in our early 70's and often felt that the bulk of activities on board were geared to elderly people preferring a slower pace or being content to read books, play mahjong, bridge and participate in trivia tournaments. The Seabourn Square was an incredibly sleepy area (like being in a ...

We're an active, mid-forties, couple who enjoy the freedom to holiday how we want. Seabourn is a significant misfit for people like us. First of all, there were no people like us on the boat. In five days, we think we at least saw everybody once. There was one other couple our age and they were feeling the same as we did, like misfits. The average age of this cruise couldn't have been less ...

Fantastic 14 Night Caribbean Cruise

We chose Seabourn Ovation as we wanted a small ship, quality cruise without too much formality and found the perfect match with Seabourn. We have read some other recent reviews and are at a loss to understand some of the negative and insulting comments that have been made, certainly it was not a floating retirement home when we were on board, although granted it does have a higher proportion of ...

Mostly Met Expectations

4 1/2 stars. We were a couple with a B2 balcony on the E Caribbean cruise and had sailed on sister ship Regatta in Fr Polynesia roughly a year earlier (recommended). I think the 'overview' description of both ships as being smaller and therefore 'quieter' with fewer activities is really useful for first-timers to understand. It's true that the passenger profile skews older but we met (and met ...

Good cruise let down by very poor post cruise customer care

The 2 week cruise we took on Ovation around the Caribbean in March was our first on Seabourn. We had previously done 25 cruises with other lines. It certainly lived up to our expectations in terms of added luxury. Our standard level suite was well appointed with a beautiful bathroom and good sized balcony. There was a sense of space in all the public rooms and on deck. We enjoyed being able ...

Seabourn Spoiled Us - We Loved it!

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

We have gone on many cruises over the years but mostly on the main stream ships (HAL, Royal, Celebrity, etc.). Last year we tried Azamara for the smaller ship experience and loved it. So this year we thought we’d try the more upscale luxury lines and see how they stack up and how we like them. So we started with Seabourn in March. We’re also going on Regent Seven Seas in June, Atlas Expedition in ...
