Booked a smaller ship thinking that overcrowding wouldn’t be as big of a problem as in past cruises. Boy, was I wrong, and add to that a dated jalopy of a ship to spend a week on. Don’t waste your money on this pile of garbage unless you like the hum and flicker of CFL light bulbs that *might* work if you’re lucky. One of them in our stateroom was like a strobe light and two other lights just ...
In rather unfortunate circumstances, my partner tested positive for COVID at the cruise terminal in Barbados. We were meant to sail on the 30/01/22 on board Grandeur of the Seas.
On our day of boarding we arrived at the port terminal for our allotted time and completed our rapid antigen COVID tests as expected. Unfortunately my partner, tested positive, but I tested negative. A further 2 ...
Good points
The food and cabin where reasonable, the lady cleaning the cabin was excellent. The Headliners entertainment was excellent.
Bad Points.
The ship is in need of a make over,
The main swimming pool area reminded us of the comedy programme Benidorm, with the towels on sun beds and nobody using the beds, the drone of dated music, kids running and jumping in the pool when signage ...
We chose this cruise because it ticked a number of boxes with regards to islands visited, we boarded the ship on the 27th December 2019, the boarding process was very efficient.
The first issue we had was the aircon did not work in the cabin, we informed our cabin boy and also reception, it took two further days and a number of calls and requested before I had to insist someone visited to the ...
For warm Caribbean weather. Great staff on board, lovely passengers. Mediocre food. Dreadful cabin on deck 14 immediately under pool deck where noisy activities, night and day. No respite from silly sail away parties to late night revels. Crew banging heavy items around late night and very early morning.
Very poor entertainment. All the music was geared up to a younger generation than the ...
We were on the Azura for a month over Christmas and New Year 2018-19, in a deluxe balcony cabin. The furniture is now old and a bit tatty, told due for a refit in 2021. The other parts of the ship are holding up well, overall, the ship is tidy and in good shape with some nice touches by way of decorations. The entertainment of an evening was fairly good, not outstanding but, better than the year ...
First and last cruise with P&O Azura.Sailed from Barbados on 15/12/2018 on 2 weeks Caribbean cruise at a total cost of nearly 5000£ for me and my girlfriend ,just to be very very disappointed with everything. The inside cabin we had was a small ,dirty box with dirty carpet, dirty furniture, dirty little toilet .The cabin has not been cleaned properly in the 2 weeks we were on the ship.We caught a ...
We are in our mid 50's and cruise quite a lot. Mostly Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Princess.
We chose this cruise as it was a Transatlantic, stopping at the Azures which we have never visited. We still haven't. The day before we left I got an e-mail from P&O saying we wouldn't be going to the Azores . Reason they gave was stormy weather affecting their operations. They don't say that in ...
This staff on this ship should be sacked and replaced with people who actually want to work, the waiting staff are lazy, rude and ignorant. and as for a smile, god no.
Room service was actually even worse, they cannot understand basic English on a ship that is supposed to be geared up especially for Brits.
Try to get a drink around the pool, no chance normally people are falling over them ...
Got worst case food poising sick for 2 months after leaving ship 31st march 2017
Dirthy smelly toilets on board ship cabins need deep cleaning after being used 52 weeks of year think about if you didn't clean your bathroom and bedroom just lighty dusted even after one person or same couple but 52 different persons our room was made ready for next persons in about 10 to 12 minutes so ...
