Seabourn Wins!!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

We’ve spent the last year “comparing” luxury cruise lines, sailing in the Retreat on Celebrity several times (including the maiden voyage of the new Ascent) and testing out Regent’s brand new Seven Seas Grandeur . . . While we enjoyed them all, we believe our 2 voyages on Seabourn Ovation to be significantly better in almost every respect. The Ovation, launched in 2018, was the “oldest ship” we’ve ...

Aair conditioning issues

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Royal Clipper

We have always fancied travelling on this ship and were very excited when we managed to book a balcony cabin for the eastbound transatlantic sailing. The ship and cabin was everything we expected apart from our cabin being at the end of the line for air conditioning. This meant it was subject to outside temperature, sea temperature and demand from other cabins. The cabin itself was a lovely layout ...

Our first cruise , amazing experience , excellent service , very clean and all staff couldn’t help enough. Fly cruise to the Caribbean. Prepaid excursions were well worth the money with excellent guides on the day. Unfortunately due to weather , one port stop had to be cancelled and P and O refunded the cost straight away . We upgraded to an outside cabin with balcony which was a blessing as the ...

After reading many bad reviews about Arvia,we had mixed feelings about getting onboard, but we always say let's make our cruise the best we can make it what ever happens. We have been on plenty of cruises with different cruise lines and plenty with P and O. We have to say we had a fantastic time ,yes it wasn't perfect ,but we didn't experience anything to really moan about.Food was of a good ...

Major drop in service levels

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Arvia

We have been on Iona a number of times so as this is the sister ship, we expected a similar experience. So wrong there ! Also, the staff came over as uninterested, some were just downright rude. It did not make for a happy atmosphere which for me totally ruined the holiday. Lets start with food. On the Iona, the Olive Grove is Italian fare. Not on Arvia. My Ceasar salad starter was literally ...

Standards dropping

Having had a wonderful experience on Iona 18 months ago we wanted to check out Arvia going to the Caribbean. The experience started badly when we found out we were flying with Maleth Aero - an airline I have never heard of and if I had known this was the airline, it would have certainly put me off booking. The eight hour flight had no in flight entertainment or any duty free service. The ...

Spent a lot of money for myself and my disabled partner to spend 2 weeks on Arvia. We paid extra for a balcony that we were unable to use due to a smoker in the next cabin. The guy was out on his balcony every day smoking. No exaggeration he was lighting up a cigarette every 10-15 minutes. I honestly don't think he ever left his room. We complained to reception and at first I was impressed as they ...

Britannia - the ship for people who want to forget they're on a ship!

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Britannia

Tl;dr: Britannia is the ship for people who want the cruise experience while forgetting they're on a ship; beautifully decorated but strangely designed and lacking the service level you'd expect if you've previously sailed with P&O (though I want to believe this is due to specific problems P&O are currently facing which will be resolved in time). The flight to Barbados and embarkation process ...

Great Ship

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Arvia

This was a last minute grabbed bargain to holiday on a new and very large cruise liner. We were not disappointed. Arvia is a lovely ship with a large number of bars and dining areas. We had a balcony cabin on deck 10 towards the front of the ship. The cabin although perhaps smaller than those we are familiar with, but adequate. Our main complaint was the noise of the toilets being flushed in the ...

Arvia is a fabulous ship with amazing staff , please do not listen to the constant moans & groans from the reviews . The price you are paying for a 2 week break on this brilliant ship is far less than you will pay with any other cruise line , stop with the negatives p&o do not deserve them Food in the main dining room was fine no complaints as was the food in the quays, keel & cow was ...
