We're an active, mid-forties, couple who enjoy the freedom to holiday how we want. Seabourn is a significant misfit for people like us.
First of all, there were no people like us on the boat. In five days, we think we at least saw everybody once. There was one other couple our age and they were feeling the same as we did, like misfits. The average age of this cruise couldn't have been less ...
We chose Seabourn Ovation as we wanted a small ship, quality cruise without too much formality and found the perfect match with Seabourn. We have read some other recent reviews and are at a loss to understand some of the negative and insulting comments that have been made, certainly it was not a floating retirement home when we were on board, although granted it does have a higher proportion of ...
I thought I would take this opportunity to write a review of our 2 week (7 day back to back ) Caribbean Island Cruise on the Marella Voyager. 21st Jan to 4th Feb 2024. We booked it for my 60th birthday which fell mid holiday. Having only been on one cruise previously ( 10 days Mediterranean on Celebrity ) we stiil feel we are relative novices at this type of holiday. Before I start to make my ...
Having just returned from our Caribbean cruise on p&o Arvia and having cruised more than 30 times .i have to congratulate p&o on reducing their standards to little above the average holiday camp .very poor service at all the bars staff that aren’t properly trained to handle the simplest of requests.4 times we had to ask for water in the cabin .my best friend was waved away from 3 different bars ...
It pains me to write this review, as we were so excited for 10 months for this holiday. We have been on P&O 3 other times and they were acceptable or even good experiences. Sadly this was our worst, and probably our last cruise (most definitely our last one ever with P&O).
For context we work in hospitality, so we really understand and value the hard work that goes into delivering good service, ...
We were on this ship last January (2023) and enjoyed it so decided to go again. We would not now repeat this as the second time was overcrowded with people who had obviously not eaten in proper restaurants and used knives and forks before!
Our cabin on deck 12 was very good and immaculately maintained. One reviewer has complained that beds were not turned down at night - this did not bother us ...
Just returned from the above cruise. What drew me to it initially was that it was a new ship with modern styling (no beige wood or colour in sight) and of course the prospect of some winter sun. This will be a very candid review (obviously only my opinion).
The positives: Lovely ship as expected from the marketing. All the staff were excellent - polite and willing to help with any question or ...
Where do I start, from the minute I booked my cruise everything was a shambles. Having spoken to a number of shoreside staff prior to departure, they were either extremely rude or completely incompetent. Once onboard the ship, things didn't really improve. The food was excellent however they are already starting to make cutbacks in the quality compared to previous sailings. Some of the menu items ...
This new ship was recommended to us, by our Travel agent. It was a lovely ship ,just a few things need tweeking. The food and suites are amazing, the entertainment needs a bit of work and more guest artists the staff couldn't be more helpful, our cabin steward Rhoneill was so helpful. Some of the excursions needed a bit of looking into, but when we mentioned it you did feel like they took things ...
This ship is amazing. I really don’t understand any of the previous negative comments that I’ve read. All I can say is that, if all some people can complain about is the number of “nicknacks” on shelves, then it can’t be too bad! Come on, first world problems!
The design of the ship is first class. No huge open spaces but lots of smaller quiet areas for relaxation and never very busy.
The ...
