I chose this cruise as I was assured by the local Tui agent that as it had recently undergone a re-fit it was disability friendly as my husband has a walking difficulty. The flight out to Barbados was lovely no issues and plenty of assistance. Once on Board the ship i went to destination services to enquire about our next day excursion, I was told that due to so many steps over 50 that it was not suitable despite being informed in shop prior to departure and paying for it that we were unable to go. With that in mind i asked for a refund only to be told i needed to give 24hours notice which was impossible as I had only just boarded the ship, after much discussion I was offered the refund. Next morning went up to have a swim in pool only to find it was totally unsuitable as to enter it you had to use a ladder. The Jacuzzi was unsuitable as there were No handrails, we then paid £148 to use the Spa but once again he could get in but in order to use it he had to lie down, once again unsuitable. The food had very limited choice and I have had better in Wetherspoons, so we paid to go into other restaurants within the ship, we also paid for drinks upgrade but again we had to purchase water separately and in the Carrabean you need water. The shows were, well what can I say outrageous So bad you could not listen to them female vocalists screaming down a microphone thinking they sound just like the real artist. The Staff on board were brilliant and couldn't be more helpful, the cabin was very clean however we paid for a deluxe balcony cabin and the ordinary balcony cabins were much nicer. The pool sunbeds were impossible to get near as people would put towels on them and then not sit on them, despite in the ships hand book stating they will be removed after 45 mins this does not happen, as I mentioned it to staff and was ignored.Unlike other cruises I have been on people did not make any effort to dress for dinner and wore shorts and tee shirts in the Restuarants. Although i enjoyed the carrabean i felt let down by the ship as it cost a lot of money and was in hindsight mis sold this holiday as i mentioned earlier i was told it would be suitable for my husband who has walking difficulties., therefore never again will I go on a Tui Cruise I will stay with P and O Read Less

We chose this cruise after a good cruise on the old Thompson Spirit. We have cruised a few times with many cruise lines and saw this trip in a local agent .not a cheapo late deal so planed out 9 months in advance. My wife was real looking forward to trip. Perfect start great to leave luggage at Gatwick and see it next in our cabin. I do have limited mobility so arranged an adapted cabin which turned out good ; Sorry down hill from here on THIS ship and MOST of staff are not aware or interested in the disable / less mobile customer. The ship has NO disable seating in restaurants or bars and you are on your own with getting help from staff to get seated . the stock reply seems " we are busy ", " try another restaurant " ; Try another time. The theater is not a lot better . Yes there are a few disable seats but so poorly signed again it is free for all, so do not expect to get one unless you get to show about 45 minuets early. We did eventual get the welfare dept to put out some signs in the Cafeteria just 8 seats which considering the amount of wheel chairs/ scooters ect on board was no where enough . To cap it all I was told by a manager in the Theater he could not ask people to move from disable seats and I should walk down the stairs to front . The shows in all are ok not up to a professional standard more a good local theater group. The excursion ok but again not good for less mobile , we invested in a special light weight wheelchair so I could enjoy the trips but nearly all the trips state on the day that no wheel chairs or buggy's can be accommodated so yes got on the trips but did not see much of the sights except from the transport windows . Well I appoligise for the writing I have catteracts so writing this review is difficult along with most passengers we had booked 18 months in advance at what we thought was a once in a life time oppertunity 28 nights on the AZURA in caribean and USA at what we thought a bargain taking in Christmas and the New yearof £2500 pp . Before I start I am not hard to please I had thought 28 days away from the UK climate was reason enough to take this cruise The AZURA had no wow factor ship was always full of people rushing or in the case of getting to the Playhouse Theater stamppeading or queing there was no where to sit quitely inside as every venue was a walk thru The first thing you notice was the major cost cutting in all areas Both breakfast and dinner buffets where of cafe style quality with no taste or smell and then again a stamppead to find a table The evening meal could be good if it served before it was cold this was caused very slow service from kitchen to waiters Now the entertainment the Headliners where wonderful but as for the rest the entertainment budget must have been non existant the was several acts one called the mentalist useless, a majician you could see how he preformed the tricks a comedian who laughed at his own jokes good job as no one else did, a supreme tribute act who screached for half an hour then introduced them selves at least three times in all the worse act I had ever seen no I have not mention elton john and geoge michael tribute acts well they were no tribute so bad they could empty a room in 10 minutes There were other acts but in all only passable pub acts the ones you would expect to see at you local WMC. We were treated to two famous performers wait for it Tom O Conner and Des O conner both I was told were 78 years old Everyone I met were fed up with the cheap entertainment provided well the Christmas film shown on the seascreen on Christmas day was Meet me in St Louie this summed it up a ship bulit for the masses with cheap corney entertainment p&O CAN SAY NO EXPENCE WAS SPARED ON THIS CRUISE NO EXPENCE AT ALL Read Less
