I took this cruise with my family and was very disappointed everyday the food selection was curry this and curry that most of the food was tasteless the buffet set up was very congested didn’t have much to choose from seemed like it was the same stuff over n over for 2 weeks, then I believe the Bingo was rigged because we played bingo it was over at 4:00 went to the room to find the daily planner ...
My family and I chose this cruise for the fantastic itinerary, lots of great islands that we already love and few we have not been to yet. We love the Caribbean and always have enjoyed going to St. Maarten and St. Thomas and beautiful St. John's, Antigua. We had never been to St. Kitts/Nevis nor the Tortola, British Virgin Islands. The excursions the ship had to offer looked great and we were ...
I have never been treated more poorly by individuals who were supposed to be providing me with a service. The security on the ship is absolutely abysmal. There is zero care or concern for the safety and well-being of guests, there is flagrant misuse of authority and absolutely unbecoming conduct by several higher ranking crew members.
The food was low quality and cold. Much of the ship was ...
I thought by taking a twelve day cruise rather than flying to the southern caribbean would be a good idea. But what turned out to be seven days on this boat was a bad mistake. This ship is old and very very warm down. Who can afford to take a twelve day cruise old people!. It's very worn-out and in a upgrade despitely. As for the crew they did the best they could do with what they had to deal ...
First off, let me say that the staff was wonderful, all of them. The infirmary was staffed with wonderfully caring folks (I had an adverse medication reaction that had NOTHING to do with Carnival; NOT their fault at all). All other faults I mention here are purely at management level & above.
The ship itself is an eyesore. Period.
Dining is adequate & nothing more.
Embarkation was okay, ...
We have cruised several times on the Grandeur of the years, but after this cruise we both decided, this was the last. We will wait for the Enchantment of the Seas and keep our fingers crossed.
We like cruising our of Baltimore because we don't have to pay for a flight, but I'll fly to California for a cruise before I get on the Grandeur again.
The cabin was a Junior Suite on the stern with ...
We selected this cruise because of it's length (12 nights) and ports of call (islands we had not yet seen in our past cruises). This was our 5th cruise on Royal Caribbean, all of which we loved and made us loyal cruisers. We had the worst cruise of our lives on Grandeur of the Seas. We wanted to leave by day 2!
What you need to know. This ship is full of loyal, patron cruisers, many of ...
WHAT a disappointment!! The 12-night, December 1st, Grandeur of the Seas Cruise from Baltimore was everything you would not want!!
** On the sea days, the ship smelled like an ash tray, especially on the rough sea days. Reported to "Melvin" as the Customer Service Desk.... only received smiles.
** Poor Breakfast Service in the Great Gatsby Dining Room. 20-minute wait for a placed HOT ...
Im so glad we have a nice mid size ship close to home! She is going in to dry dock soon and will be like new again! Food & Entertainment is great, lots of great restaurants to choose from if you can't find enough food from the Great Gatsby Dining Room or my personal favorite place to eat the "Windjammer" as you can eat foods from all over the world. Never a bad meal here. Our Cabin Stewart ...
The ship was named Grandeur of the Seas, and indeed it was. The food, entertainment, crew, atmosphere, the ships interior and exterior architecture and design, and accommodations was most pleasant and enjoyable. Cruise Director Paul Rutter and assistant Tanya the Tornado do a fantastic job in setting up and anchoring the scheduled ship events and entertainment.
The ships food was excellent ...
