Did the Grand Turk-Half Moon Cay-Freeport itinerary. Here are some thoughts. Our third time sailing on Pride.
GT was pleasant as always. A lot of seaweed piled high on the beach but otherwise great. We did the Gibbs Cay and Stingray encounter excursion which was really great. Gibbs Cay is around the other side of the island. Felt very remote and unspoiled...until three other boats showed up ...
We selected this cruise because it was close to our home and we didn’t want to fly out of Baltimore. Note this was our second cruise on the Pride, which occurred a few years ago. The pool areas were overcrowded and not well maintained. The roof on our balcony was rust filled. However, our cabin Stewart, Joey and our head waiter, Diana and her team were amazing. I found guest services not to be ...
Went on the cruise with our daughter and son in law. We had great weather. Serenity pool (over 21) was nice-no kids to annoy us. At Grand Turk there are plenty of chairs and umbrellas to get out of the sun. I liked snorkeling at Grand Turk right off the beach. Half Moon Cay was very nice, no problem getting on the tender and didn't feel the need to be the first on the island. Lots of chairs ...
I have cruised RC several times before and we had been on the Grandeur before about six years ago and were pleased. Things have changed though. The boat is older but very clean. The service is outstanding.
They now charge for room service which I was not happy about it.
I went to the spa for a massage and to relax but felt pressure to buy products. I never went back.
Bermuda was great. ...
Grandeur is a great ship with great staff but has seemed to tailor its daily activity schedule for the retirees/seniors that frequently travel on this ship. This was my second sailing on Grandeur (last one was a 7 night to Bermuda in 2015) and although I had similar expectations to some of things I remembered on my first sailing, I did not expect this sailing to be so boring during the day and ...
This ship was built in 1992 I believe, and it is showing it’s age. If you have children 5 and under, the activities for them are poor. The food was good, overall. Staff was very attentive and personable. Movie choices were lacking. Showing movies about terrorists was not appropriate with so many teenagers and younger kids present, in my opinion. The arcade was extremely small and choices were ...
We needed a cruise for my parent's 80th birthday that could take a whole family of grandkids from 3-20 and different lifestyles.
I wouldn't have chosen this cruise except the dates worked and, most importantly, it left from Baltimore so we could drive right up and jump on. I did basically the same cruise with my immediate family on a Royal Caribbean ship out of Baltimore two years ...
My husband I vowed to cruise on this ship in particular, after having attended his cousins wedding on this ship a couple of years ago. We thought it would be perfect for our 5th wedding anniversary (7-13-13). After paying for this voyage in advance, we also made sure to request reservations for the chefs table and David’s steakhouse. (FYI- if you make your reservation for David’s on the first ...
We chose this ship because it was within driving distance of our home. First, our room safe did not work. We reported it to staff who said they would get it taken care of. Two days later room safe is still not fixed. Reported it to staff again and this time it was taken care of, only to quit working 2 days later. Second, sat down to dinner in the main dining room one night, unfolded my ...
This was my 11th cruise and my 7th on Carnival. My last Carnival cruise was back in 2010, and my have things changed - not for the better.
We chose this cruise because of the dates, limited port time, and Dr. Seuss theme since we were traveling with our 3 kids, ages 4 and 6. We upgraded to a balcony room for extra room, which I will now do every time I cruise! The room was a good size and the ...
