I will go in chronological order: (We are seasoned cruisers - first time on any RCI ship)
CHECK IN - No one to guide us where to go. Stood in line for 30 minutes before Security suggested we check our bags and directed us where to go. After that stood in line for 45 minutes to Check In and Board ship.
STATE ROOM - Smelled like sewer as we walked in. Room was not well maintained. Rust in ...
We have cruised several times on the Grandeur of the years, but after this cruise we both decided, this was the last. We will wait for the Enchantment of the Seas and keep our fingers crossed.
We like cruising our of Baltimore because we don't have to pay for a flight, but I'll fly to California for a cruise before I get on the Grandeur again.
The cabin was a Junior Suite on the stern with ...
My husband and I booked this to celebrate our Anniversary. One issue after the next from the time we got on the boat until the time we left. Food outside of the speciality restaurants was mediocre at best. We spent an extra day anchored in the bay due to bad weather causing us to miss 2 of our ports. I say 2 because we were only in Nassau from 1130pm until 1230am. The ship itself was run down. ...
By far worst cruise i have been on. I took off work for 7 days for this cruise and it was horrible. I understand weather but it should have just got cancelled altogether. I am a mom and can only do vacation one time a year. The staff are very rude and i had my food before my drinks n i had to get the head waiter to get our drinks. We got to nassaeu for only 1 hour n had to pay port services and we ...
The only thing I can say good about our cruise is that my teenage boys room steward, Rouston Rodrigues was Amazing. He not only cleaned my teenage boys room, made them animal towels, but interacted with them and my husband and myself throughout every day of our cruise. My husband and I saw our steward, Wilfred (I believe that was his name) only once when we boarded.
In the Great Gatsby dining ...
. A week prior to boarding we got an email that said due to a coast guard inspection don't show up until noon - no big deal. The boat did not leave until midnight The coast guard was interested in some cracks in the center. Non mechanical but you wonder. They canceled all shore tours in Boston. Went to Portland and then to Bar Harbor which they canceled because their "life boats" couldn't ...
This cruise was not luxurious, enjoyable, or accommodating after working hard all year to pay to have a week of relaxation and a good time.
A list of things that need serious improvement:
• The food - The meals on this ship were less than sub par. I was highly disappointed in the options and the execution of the food. I can cook better than these supposedly trained chefs. I can promise you, ...
We selected this cruise because of it's length (12 nights) and ports of call (islands we had not yet seen in our past cruises). This was our 5th cruise on Royal Caribbean, all of which we loved and made us loyal cruisers. We had the worst cruise of our lives on Grandeur of the Seas. We wanted to leave by day 2!
What you need to know. This ship is full of loyal, patron cruisers, many of ...
Despite this ship being "refurbished" it is severely outdated!! I felt like areas such as the ceiling were not maintained well, many fixtures were tarnished and attention to detail was lacking. All our other cruises had different carpet to distinguish port vs starboard, however, this ship did not. The carpet was also stained and I saw a place where chunks were missing. The picture in the cabin did ...
Bottom line up front: This ship is falling apart at the seams, everything stinks (staterooms, bathrooms, common areas, decks and interior spaces). Everything is designed to frustrate you to the point of spending more in convenience upgrades. The food is marginal (hit and miss), entertainment was pathetically bad.
Pier check-in at Baltimore was bizarre; like it was the first time a cruise ship ...
