Amazing Staff and Ship ( Despite a slight mechanical issue! )

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

I chose this cruise because it left from Baltimore and the dates were a perfect time to be away from MD. Everytime I got on or off the ship, it went very smooth and the crew was super nice. I was in a balcony room on the 7th deck and my attendant, Mennie, was amazing......she was on the spot at all times. I mostly hung out at the bars. If you drink more then 3 or 4 drinks a day, then ...

A Long Cruise

I always thought I wanted to go on a long cruise with time at sea to do nothing. This 12 nighter changed my mind. The cruise itself was great, but the downside was having 3 days at sea, then 5 ports in a row, then 3 more (rough) days at sea was a bit challenging. The crew were fantastic - they didn't seem tired of all of us at all. The whole crew was enthusiastic and friendly the whole time. ...

We chose this cruise because we wanted a holiday cruise out of Baltimore. The bonus was that it stopped in Martinique. My husband and I met at club Med Martinique in 1974! We swore never to return because it could never compete with falling in love in paradise. However, after 43 years, we were ok and looking forward to seeing it again. We rented a car and drove to club med for a day trip. I do ...

It is our home port, only RC and Carnival are available here, And we don't like to fly. We always choose RC. And Lady G is a nice old lady with home feel . Great friendly crew. Good food ( i gained like 8-10 pounds ) Love the spa with sauna and steam room ( free of charge) Not crowded, Always something to do. Love the sea days required to get somewhere nice and warm. It's good for relaxing and ...

Good Itinerary, on a terrible ship

This is our 4th cruise with Royal and we've sailed on Grandeur's sister ship Rhapsody so we thought we knew what we were getting into. Overall we'll avoid any cruise with Grandeur in the future, and this has severely tainted our opinion of Royal Caribbean We picked this cruise because it had a great looking itinerary and we'd done a previous Christmas cruise with Royal out of Florida on Oasis ...

The port and the timing of this cruise worked with our schedule. We found the crew to be excellent. The customer service was the best ever and was consistent, with ever crew member pleasant and helpful. Although the crew was the best ever, the passengers were not on their best behavior. Several of the children were out of control. One boy put his mouth on the ice cream dispenser to have the ice ...

This was a nice long cruise that we did in 2016 as well. A great one for the money which makes it an exceptional value. My only real complaint was the absence of heat in the room on the last day when the ship returned to Baltimore. It was also freezing in the Viking Crown Lounge and Concierge Lounge. We're booked on the same sailing for 2018 so I hope the ship corrects the problem. Food in ...

We did not expect to have the great vacation that we had on this experience. I would definitely recommend this cruise for other families. Some of the thing we enjoyed on this cruise was, that the boat always had some type of activity for the kids and adults to enjoy. They made me and my family feel as if we were at home. They we very respectful, encouraging to try new things, always very attentive ...

Photos of the ship, ports, dailies, and kid schedules can be seen at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/snjnova/collections/72157662533971337/ A cruise is a cruise is a cruise. But there’s something special about pulling out of your driveway at 10:45 AM and being in your cabin by 1:15 PM. No TSA lines or fighting for a space for your rollaboard in the overhead luggage bins. Just drive 75 ...

Older ship, great crew

As we're within quick driving distance of Baltimore, a holiday cruise with our teen twins seemed like a great way to spend 12 days at sea. In general, it was an excellent cruise with a handful of caveats. I've broken it down into specific areas to make it easy to read. The Ship Grandeur is far from a new ship. She’s 21 years old and this was voyage number 152 in her career. She’s had ...
