I choose this cruise for convenience as I live in Maryland and it was close to my birthday. Me and my girlfriend are both in our 30s and had a great time. Service on ship was excellent wether your talking about the MDR our room stewards etc.. We ate at chops and it was delicious we’re on the other royal ships we have been in. Izumi was also good we have eaten on other ships and then experience there was by far the best. I read a lot about this shop draws a older crowd and I could see that but it might just be when you go and your itinerary. Also read before we went that the shop shuts down at 10 or 11 o’clock which in my experience is also not true. They had live music in the centrum until at least midnight and one of the nights we went to the night club on board and people were still dancing partying etc and it was past 2am. The ship is small and for a young active couple I think 5 or maybe 7 nights max would be the perfect length on this ship as I think any longer I would have started to get board. Bermuda was awesome and beautiful and hopefully will be able to go back soon. Overall I had a great time and at the end of the day your vacation is all about what you make it. Read Less

This was a family trip with my Dad and Sister. Every bit of it was perfect. I enjoyed the serenity pool and hot tub. My room steward was very nice and prompt. The room was clean and comfortable. Best sleep I've had in a very long time. I wanted to take the mattress home. The shows were very good...we saw movies on the deck, comedy shows and variety shows. I was unable to book any excursions due to an injury prior to the cruise, but there was shopping and swimming right off the ship. I have to admit, I had all but given up on Carnival's food before this trip, but they did a fantastic job. It was definitely up to par this time. I would book on this ship again as the staff was very welcoming and attentive. The only complaint that I could muster is that the shower did not maintain temperature throughout. It would go from a little too hot to a little too cold. Read Less

We chose this cruise as it was the spring break of our soon to be graduating daughter (HS), and it is an easy three hour drive to Baltimore. We have always loved the Port of Baltimore for efficiency and ease! We have been on three Enchantment cruises in the past that we absolutely loved! I did read the reviews of the Grandeur (after booking, unfortunately , and had some concerns that the Grandeur would be different based on hearing it was for "the older" passenger demographic). Hey, I am no spring chicken, so due to proximity, and praying that this is spring break time, there would be something for my daughter to enjoy while making friends. Well, alas, it was not the case. I am not going to "bash" this cruise. We were in room 7078, a balcony with an awesome location! There were many "highs", and we did have fun. John Blair, the Cruise Director and his wife, worked very hard to make everyone's trip a fabulous event. He is an INCREDIBLY talented singer, and his Neil Diamond show was incredible! What a voice! Enjoyed the dancers and singers .... will not lie, I have heard better but also far worse. Good comedians, and overall great entertainment. Our room steward, Cornelius and waiters, AJ and Andy were fabulous! Dinners very good; not the best, but considering the number of guests they are feeding? We did not buy tickets for the upscale restaurants, but I heard a variety of reviews. I guess I just feel that you are already paying a significant cost, so the "push" for upscale meals is trying. There is seemingly never ending marketing for additional revenue; that is for sure! You can get some good buys, but many are overpriced or simply "junk". We did buy a Citizen watch. 35% off, but the retail price stated was less than looking the same one up on line. We usually play bingo .... did not even go as we heard it was $40 to play! The casino??? Horrible!!!! Never ending losses, machines a joke, and how the dealers keep pulling 21's is remarkable, to say the least. On previous cruises, they at least give you a free drink when losing your shirt; no longer happening! All in all, I would rate this cruise a 3.5. We did have a great time, met great people, and had lovely men and women working hard in their jobs to serve us. We were blessed with beautiful weather, and relatively calm seas. The Grandeur apparently has a huge following, and we now know it is geared for an "older" geographic population that enjoys smaller ships and is not focused on her "older" appearance with fewer activities. Not sure how long she will continue to be in service ...... but perhaps they need to take that into account when establishing pricing. Again, we did enjoy the trip ...... just trying to give an accurate evaluation of what to expect so there is no disappointment or regrets for your choice. Read Less

The entertainment was very nice, had someplace to go on the ship all doing the day and at night. The slots were good for those who like to gamble or just for fun.i met a couple who was entertaining us with songs Joel and Carina they were great loved all the songs they sing. My husband and I went with another couple to the Bahamas on Carnival Pride March 10, 2019. We were super impressed with how clean the ship was. Staff seemed to be cleaning all the time. Our steward was Rommell and kept our suite clean twice a day. The main dining room food was better than any 5 star restaurant! The filet mignon was AMAZING! We ate at buffets most mornings. As a pizza lover I was very happy that they had pizza 24 hours and they make it fresh while you wait. We ate one night at Dave’s Steakhouse. It was ok but I was just as happy with the ships main dining area. The staff on the whole ship was always happy and fun. Our cruise director, Dr. E was so funny and really made the voyage entertaining! He is very talented and reminded me of a young Steve Harvey. We loved our ocean suit and was amazed at how much storage there was. There were a lot of great shows but I have to say the best show was Love&Marriage hosted by Dr. E. The comedians were great as well. Getting off and on the ship was very efficient. The cruise line really had the process organized. There was only a few things I would say could be better: 1. not much shopping on board and very expensive jewelry. 2. There was only 1 American power outlet. All others were Europe German. Would have been nice if they had put an American outlet on both sides of room and the didn’t have the option to buy a European plug on ship. 3. Wish that casino was smoke free or at least have a stronger ventilation so it wasn’t so strong. 4. The tv was awful and remote seldom worked. There weren’t many show options on tv to watch. Read Less

I chose this cruise because I live in MD and it was easy to get to port. Took my mother for a girls trip to relax and get away from the snow. The ship just had its upgrade to add Guys Burgers etc. The food was good in the dinning room, great in the steakhouse, and average in the buffet. Service was great, we loved our serving team in the main dinning room (Gabriel, Eko, and Braz). I recommend them if you have the My Time Dinning. The ship was clean and all staff was very nice. If you are looking for a trip with teens or pre-teens I suggest a newer ship. The Pride is limited for activities (unlike the Horizon and Sunshine). They have the normal stuff; pools, water slides, ping pong, basket ball etc but thats about it. For us it was great for relaxing on the lido deck and Serenity area. Shows are great, comedians were great (my face hurt i was laughing so much). Over all a good ship. Oh and Dr E is awesome. Read Less

We chose this ship primarily because of the cheaper cost, itinerary. (St Croix) and port of departure. We own property on St Croix and wanted to visit to take care of a little business as well as see friends and have a vacation in the mean time. Price: This cruise was cheaper than getting to JFK, flying to STX, renting a car for a week, renting a cottage for a week and handling all our food expenses. I think the location as well as price attracts many repeat cruisers. We found people who had been on the ship 33 times! 3-6 times was fairly common. Also, as others have said, it is an old crowd with many diamond members. Crew: They are excellent. Every one of them. Can't say enough nice things about the wait staff, room attendants, customer service etc. They get to know you quickly, like to kid around and talk and always took good care of us. Passengers: Much older crowd with very few kids. That's ok because they tend to be a laid back, smart, experienced crowd that are fun to meet. Maybe it's the mid-west and mid-atlantic vibe due to the departure location but almost everybody is very friendly. Some folks practically live on this ship. Activities: It's an older ship and doesn't have a lot of activities, especially in the evenings. That's ok with us. We are 60 & 64. We don't need DJ blasting pool parties. If we really want to see a Broadway show we'll take a train to Broadway. A little more entertainment and more outdoor dance options like an afternoon pool party would be nice. They did have a fun 70's night but most dances seemed to cater to an older crowd of very well practiced dancers doing waltzes, cha-cha's and even tangos. That left us feeling a bit left out but the showy dancers are still friendly. Most dancing takes place in the Centrum which is ringed with seats for 3 levels and open all the way from decks 4 through 8. It was nice to be able to walk down the hall from our deck 8 room and look down & check out what is going on. We enjoyed "enrichment" watercolor painting with Rosemary and her hubby. They are a lot of fun. Also the after 9 PM piano singalongs in the schooner bar with Russ were fun. What shows they did have were fun with comedians, singers and a jazz sax player. My wife saw the cruise director put a great Neil Diamond tribute. I was at a wine tasting at the time. Ports: We did a 12 night Eastern Caribbean run and the ports are were very good. St Croix, Antigua, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and St. Martin. We mostly did 3rd party tours. We had one RCL excursion on St Lucia; a catamaran ride for sightseeing, swimming at a bay and then viewing the Pitons. The crew on the cat was a blast and very knowledgeable. On/off was super easy as the cat was docked right in front of our ship at the port. Cabins: I said that we went cheap. We were in an interior room. It was 136 sq feet. It was tight getting in & out of bed but otherwise very serviceable with plenty of cubbies to put stuff. Others have said that suitcases don't fit under the bed. We solved that by leaving then open so they slid under, but that limits how many you can fit. I suggest bring bags that nest inside each other when empty like Russian Dolls. Bottom line: if you like an older crowd and are looking for a laid back relaxing ship this fits the bill. We would defiantly go again if we were still going be nearby the departure point. Read Less

A little history first my wife and I have been on at least 15 previous cruises with Disney, Celebrity, Princess,NCL and bulk with RC. We live outside of Philly so it is almost the same drive time to NY, Bayonne, and Baltimore. We prefer to sail out of any of the FL ports, quicker in the warm weather. Love to cruise in the winter months to escape the cold for a while. We already knew a little about the Grandeur being a older smaller ship but we like the smaller ships we love the Enchantment and seriously wish for its return to Baltimore those 72 extra feet are well worth it. Boarding was very easy as was disembarkation not a whole lot of the ship to see so we did lunch and went up to the Solarium which also was serving lunch a great place to have a light lunch we learned on the next 4 sea days would highly recommend. Down to our cabin 4026 which was "seriously" decorated for our 45th wedding anniversary which was done with out my knowledge but greatly appreciated wine, door decorations, wall hangings, pillow case's, beach towel, amazing. Met our room steward Abu.the best we have ever had and very happy to have had him. Room was plenty big when the bed was separated but the beds were extremely tough not very comfortable my Navy rack was better Abu managed to make the wife's a little better because we heard that they have some extra padding, this is one issue, but decor is nice. We had a ocean view large window but it was almost not worth it dirt/salt/age made it not so great to see out of. Dinning was the average with RC very good to just OK Chops GREAT Giovanni's Table wont do again and not worth it in our minds almost rushed there and food was less Italian than expected but staff in both were excellent and friendly. Don't like My Time Dinning at all because we like to build up a relationship with our servers and we had the same two for almost 7 nights but the guys who seats you captain/maitre d found it hard to seat us in their section if you came after 5:15 but left a table by the window empty on 3 separate nights for our whole meal while we were sitting next to a pole. But he did accommodate people that kissed his but and pressed some green in his hand, and I don't play that game till the end and he got nothing extra at all. Our servers were excellent as was almost all the staff we encountered, especially the morning staff in the Windjammer superb. Hardly anything to do during sea days that attracted us much. Pool deck was ok but the "large" screen showings were run and rerun to death and the middle of the screenwent black and not repaired for the last sea days like they didn't care. Cruise director and his staff we very nice and great energy and very good shows but almost the same on all RC ships. The theater shows were pretty good overall with the juggler being our favorite. The itinerary was what interested us the most. Have never been to Saint Lucia and the rest were islands we have been to before and loved so it was an easy choice and the price. Train Ride in St Kitts have to do it once we did it twice now and love it, Beach Excursions in Antigua and St Martin both worth it did our own thing in Saint Lucia 6 1/2 hour tour to see the Pitons with Gousel Tours would highly recommend. Saint Croix did the red fort tour on our own and walked around town not much to see in Frederiksted. Now why I wouldn't sail on her again till they get her fixed besides the rust and gunk on the windows and general rust on the hull the smell of the ship is rather disturbing in the bathroom was horrific till the wife out in one of the two Yankee Candle air freshers she was warned to bring even the outside of the ship while waiting for excursion smelled like a toilet bowl started calling it the Depends Of The Saes and other noted it also but has not been addressed. It was to go into drydock for two weeks but it should stay there much longer to take care of major issues the old girl need a major overhaul not carpets and refresh of the paint. The Centrum deck 4 port side had a fan blowing the carpet dry the entire cruise what is that about. The shope onboard were small and had very little to offer even RC merchandise lost money from us the wife can spend for sure. Last thing negative I have and it is a minor issue we bought post cards in every port to send home to our granddaughters because all kids like getting mail spent $1.05 per stamp to have them sent out and you know where they were sent out from Baltimore when we got home little bit of fraud there RC wwas told the mail was picked up every day in port. Overall buyer be ware! Just to be sure we have booked and other RC out of NY for 2020 even though the perks are getting worse and worse and they are nickle and dimming us to death. Read Less

I had never cruised before so wanted to see what it was like. Was told this was a nice ship but nobody informed you that the second floor smells like cigarette smoke and it seeps down to the first floor deck so I felt like one big cigarette. You cannot even go in the Casino without your throat hurting or chocking on the cigarette smoke. It is so unfair to those that want to gamble but cannot stand the smoke. The drinks were weak and very expensive and if you wanted the drink package you had to buy for everybody in your room but my partner did not drink so I was not paying another 400.00 for his drinking that he would never do. The staff were ok except for the guy at the grill who made you feel like it was a big problem to do a special order. It was kept clean which was reassuring. The Steak House was excellent and the best part of the meals on this trip. The hot tubs were not hot and so little you could never get in because other people were in them. The pool on the Serenity deck looked like some scum was in it so did not want to go in it. The entertainment was nothing to be desired but the comedy club had great comedians except for the first guy on the first show. The last two guys and CJ Jones were excellent. Thought it was somewhat cheesy and would expect better entertainment for the amount of time you spend on this ship. The jewelry is way over priced and you are better off to buy it in one of the Ports. Carnival has a great marketing strategy to charge for all kinds of things so don't go on this ship thinking you have paid your way as all inclusive. I was charged 3.75 for a coke. You will get a nice bill at the end! Don't believe I would ever go on this ship again just because of the smoking. The shore excursions were ok but have had better staying in a resort. The smoking was the worst. It was horrible and made for a mediocre trip. Read Less

We enjoyed being waited on so always went to main dining room ! Will definitely sail with royal Caribbean again ! Loved that we could just drive to the terminal in 2 and half hours. Great value for all it offers. The entertainment is really good. The crew as well as the guests are some of the friendliest at sea. Love the smaller ship atmosphere. The Great Gatsby Dining Room is staffed by great waiters and is elegant in decor. The CD on this particular cruise was Mike (Polish name) and he was awesome. Our room was very clean and very nice, but wish the beds were higher to slide our luggage under. I still wish they had better hair dryers. I also feel that they should make the showtimes 7:30 and 9:30 instead of 7 and 9. We always seem to be rushed through early dining to get to the first show and even if we make it seats are pretty much gone by the times we finish dessert. We rarely can stay up for the later show as we have busy days and tire easily. Read Less

This is my second time cruising on Carnival Pride from Baltimore. It has been 8 years since I been on this boat. This boat needs a really good renovation. It's outdated from the decor to the ship. Some spots were leaking where we were standing, the decor is old and peeling. You can see all of the aging and wear and tear on the ship. The bathroom shower kept overflowing and water was everywhere on our bathroom floor. We had to keep the toilet seat down because it kept smelling like urine. The movie screen shows all the pixels in the world. Baltimore need some renovated boats to leave from this terminal. But on the upside, the cruise director Cookie was excellent. He kept us entertained each day. He is a major staple on this ship. He will make your cruise that much enjoyable and it takes your mind off of the negatives of the boat. I don't like go write reviews or give negative comments. I love Carnival cruises and I'm just hoping that enough people agree that this boat needs a makeover very badly that it will fall into the right hands to be replaced with a more updated ship. But please, never replace your cruise director Cookie. I would follow him on any cruise he's directing. And also, can they please find a better port to stop at beside Freeport. Theres never anything to do in Freeport. Read Less

This ship has one the highest return rates in the RC fleet. The A++ service is just one reason. The activities and entertainment are superior. Fellow passengers are friendly. My wife and I traveled alone, but we easily made friends. Our cabin had plenty of room. Food quality was not always perfect. The breakfast and lunch at either the main dining room or the buffet was almost always praiseworthy. The lunch salad bar at the main dining room is not to be missed. The ham at the breakfast buffet melts in your mouth. The quality of entrees at dinner missed my high expectations. All "Fish of the Day" were frozen. The pork tended to be tough; I had to pray for a steak knife to cut a chop. Chicken breasts needed more marinating. On the other hand, the beef dishes were outstanding. My wife gave pasta dishes a high mark. Drink prices are very high and then RC adds an automatic 18% gratuity tax on your bill. The Carnival Pride is my favorite ship and not just because she conveniently docks in Baltimore. I love the layout and the variety of public areas. (I've spent a total of 45 nights across five cruises on her now.) With venues like the Card Room, Library, Chapel and Sunset Garden, you can always find a quite place to sit. I have always been pleased with the service on the Pride. And, on the relaxation front, I like that there are both indoor and outdoor hot tubs. I love Guys Burgers, the Blue Iguana Cantina and Bonsai Sushi. Bonsai Sushi does cost extra, but it is nominal, and well worth it. On our most recent cruise, Cookie was our Cruise Director, and he is amazing! He is funny, and so caring. There were lots of activities for all interests. I enjoyed bingo, sports contests, trivia and other games, while my husband enjoyed different alcohol tastings put on by the Fun Shops. When sailing out of Baltimore I recommend not selecting the earliest check-in time slot. Many people get there early causing a bottleneck in the lines to get. Choosing a little latter time slot will help make your embarkation a little less stressful. Note: The Pride is in need if a little facelift, but she is scheduled for dry dock in early 2019. Read Less

From my first contact by phone with the cruise agent through the debarkation, everyone and everything was a most pleasant experience. I have been on several cruises and this ranks near the top of the list. First and foremost was the attentiveness and attitude of the entire crew which was directed t making our trip pleasant and enjoyable. The fact that passenger count was small (at capacity) allowed for interaction between everyone which made for a most comfortable time and conversation with all. The ship provided ready access to every public area and was clean and well manned. Our cabin was large by cruise ship standards and dining was excellent. The entertainment was good and their was always something to do. All personnel were dedicated to providing first class service to all passengers. The ports were well chosen and provided good shore experiences. I would most assuredly use American Cruise Lines again. Read Less

My family and i enjoyed thoroughly! The kids enjoyed also. We took a 1 and 2 year old. I had my concerns about safety originally because they are so active. However, that proved to be unnecessary worry as there were no hiccups. As soon as we boarded, my mind was immediately at ease. Kids enjoyed their time, in and out of the pool also. We chose this cruise for the ports in New England. We had not been to this area of our country and wanted to see several with the bonus of Canada. The ship is nice and entertainment was great. I would have liked to see more arts and crafts besides scrapbooking ?? because I do not gamble. 9 days is a long cruise so we need more entertainment during day time for the arts. Room was comfortable and staff at bars, restaurants, and spa are fantastic. The menu for gluten free folks is basically the original menu without gravies, sauces, and breadcrumbs....so a bit bland but I still managed to gain some weight. hahahaha Evening entertainment and Dancing was awesome. The DJ was great. We really enjoyed ourselves. Our favorite port is Bar Harbor and recommend the Pedego bicycles and you must do the loop road in Acadia National park.....fantastic! Pros: Awesome experience for our first RCL cruise. Service, food, accomodations, staff and ports of call were excellent and would highly recommend. Arranging shore excursions was easy. Those excursions and guides were extremely knowledgeable about their content. Entertainment /shows was "top shelf". We chose this cruise for two reasons: first, our 44th wedding anniversary and second because it was going north in cooler waters and a cooler daily temperature. Had some rain enroute but had no impact of our plans or excursions. Boarding and diembaration was the easiest and most organized of any cruise we have been on. RCL can stick a feather in their hat for such planning and organization! Cons: Avoid their internet. Very pricy and a hassle to logon and stay on. Once connected, it drops signal. In addition, slower than dial up (1200 baud) phone modem. Ship needs to add an "app" for daily acitivity with a reliable internet. Read Less

My husband and I are “empty nesters” now, so we decided to treat ourselves to a cruise. We chose Royal Caribbean because we had cruised with them once before and had enjoyed it. This cruise did not disappoint. It was smaller than the ship we sailed on last time, so there weren’t quite as many activities, but we had plenty to do for the five days of the cruise, considering the fact that almost two days we were able to go ashore. (We went to Bermuda.) What struck us the most was how friendly and helpful all of the staff were. The food was amazing as well... consequently, we indulged far too much! We didn’t love the musical productions, so we ended up going to the Casino instead. Our favorite activity was the trivia games in the Schooner Bar. We teamed up with other people there, which was a fun way to meet other cruisers. We chose to get a suite and were very happy we did. The room was comfortable and reasonably spacious, with an awesome private balcony. Again, the staff went out of their way to get us anything we asked for. We have already decided to take another cruise on Royal Caribbean next summer. Can’t wait! Read Less

This is our 3rc trip on the Carnival Pride but 6th trip on Carnival and 8th cruise overall. We just got back and I wanted to write a review because I feel like only the people who are unhappy take the time to write the reviews. We have cruised the very large ships and did not enjoy them because we do not like making reservations to see a show etc. On the Breeze we could not get into shows or the comedy club on several nights because the theaters are not much larger than the Pride but there are twice the number of cruisers. We never had any problems getting into or hanging out between shows in the comedy club on the Pride but on the Breeze they would make us go around and stand in long lines for as much as 45 minutes to get a seat. The pool areas on the Pride although busy were not crazy crowded. You do need to go early to get a chair on the main deck (and hang out not abandoning it for hours) but if you go up to the 10th floor overlooking the pool you can get one anytime. We are up fairly early so usually got a chair to enjoy all of the pool side activities. The pool area on the Breeze was larger but the pool was the same size and there was only one pool. (the kids area was above and largely unused) There wasn't even standing room on the Breeze. I am glad that Carnival added staff to the pool area, it really controlled the kids and Chaos of jumping kids into crowded pools. The sea was rough the first couple of days. (No biggie to me and Carnival could not control that). Other than that it was beautify most days. We enjoyed the dining room and had excellent service from Diana and the rest of the team. The buffet was fine and had very edible food that people were eating in large portions so obviously most people found it to be of good quality. Guys Burger Joint was great, especially the fries. The pizza was good (especially for breakfast, I don't eat eggs). I spent a lot of time talking to so many fun people and listening to a few miserable people. I think a cruise is what you make of it, get out and meet people and participate in as many activities as you can and you will likely have fun no matter which ship you are on. The people on Pride were so friendly and fun. Grand Turk: Flow Rider with the kids was totally awesome with the pool at Margaritaville Half Moon Cay: Horseback Riding was beautiful and wonderful day handing out at the beautiful beach Freeport: Excursion to the beach was very nice (not as pretty as Half Moon Cay but we've been both islands before so no surprise) Read Less

I chose this cruise for convenience (location, do flight necessary, past experience). We have taken this cruise 3 other times and noticed the service going down, but still had high hopes for carnival because of our experiences with their other ships. We have traveled on the Princess and loved our trip. Some of the main points I would like others to be aware of are the new rules; they ask you when or how often you want your cabin serviced. When on a cruise I want to be pampered and freshening up my cabin should not have to be a question. One of those nights our cabin was not cleaned until 7pm. Ice in my bucket should not have to be asked for daily, but it was. Another thing you should know is that our cabin toilet leaked. The water was shooting out all over the floor. They stopped it and mopped it up, but I didn't see any bleach or extra cleaners. The ship seemed dusty and you could see a lot of dirt build up in the corners. Another of my disappointments was the dining. We asked for early seating prior to the cruise and they placed up at 8:15 dining. Who eats at 8:15 at night? We immediately went to the service desk and to the desk for dinner. The head waiter said there was nothing that he could do, he had no other seats. We would have to go to anytime dining up stairs. They knew well in advance that there were not enough seating accommodations for everyone. My question is how did they decide who got what? While we are speaking about the diner, please allow me a few minutes to talk about the service. On the first night I got something in my meal that looked like the bristle from a scrubber. I showed it to the waiter and he said, "Well, I hope you like your dinner tomorrow better." That was it, no "I'm sorry" nothing. Two days later someone at another table broke the pepper shaker. No one cleaned it up. People walked by and slipped several times. I told the waiter and one of the head staff. They continued to walk by it. The head waiter pretended to call someone on her phone but no one came. They did the staff dance while the pepper was on the floor. They serviced meals while it was on the floor. Right before we were to leave one of the head waiters came by and pushed the pile of pepper to the side with their foot. It was not cleaned up while we were there. During the morning brunch, tables were not cleaned after customers finished their meal. We sat among dirty tables that were not bused at all. This was every time we came to brunch. On the top deck the tables were not cleaned and the food areas were messy. Water was always everywhere and made it easy to slip in the dining area. Food also remained on those tables for long periods of time. The staff was not as friendly as it use to be. We were not greeted with good mornings or the likes. The Casino is completely smoking. I remember when it was non-smoking we there would be a section for the smoking people. There was no section for us. We were told the vent in the isle would pull out the smoke and the two machines by the door were none smoking. They were the old keno machines. No consideration was taken for those of us that have breathing concerns or health problems. I went to be smelling of smoke and coughing each night. This seems like reverse discrimination. The hostess told me it was because they were a small ship and that most of the other areas on the ship were none smoking. I asked her was that for the safety of the ship or its guest? Read Less

Staff was amazing, Steve was a magician our room was always clean. Traveled with family who is vegan and they had amazing vegan options in the windjammer. Grant in the Dining Hall made sure there were vegan options for my uncles. The beds were comfortable, we had an ocean view room. I did experience some sea sickness and the "hospital" on the ship did provide medication for that. There were always newer movies being played and the Palladium Theater was my go-to spot. The DJ in the club could have a better variation of music. I went to the "club" about 6 or 7 days out of the 9 day cruise and the music was often repeated. Overall the cruise was wonderful and I plan to go on another cruise in a year or 2 with friends and possibly a bigger ship. The shops were great and everyday was a new adventure. Read Less

The food was good the service was very good all the staff was very attentive about the meal and they checked on every on at the table to make sure every thing was presented well and tasted very good. The ships interior was kept up very well but the exterior needed much work such as paint and windows also needed cleaning. The cabins were very clean the rugs wear old but in good shape the same for the furnishings. The embarkation and disembarking at Baltimore pier was the most efficient that we ever experienced in a long time. We wish that all Royal Caribbean port of call was as efficient as this port. When it comes to ports and shore excursions we believe some of there prices are to high depending on distance form the ship duration of excursion and type of excursion . we found that if we just take a cab to your were you want to go it casts about one quarter of what the ship charges if you leave a enough time you will be back in plenty of time before the ship sails. I traveled on Carnival Pride for seven days. This was my first time cruising. I chose a cruise because I have never taking a cruise and it was my birthday trip to myself. The comedy shows and karaoke were the best thing on the ship. The ship did not offer many activities. The ship was not thoroughly cleaned as it should have been. The quality of the food was very poor. The buffet was extremely horrible. The food was very bland , overcooked and the variety was horrible. The restaurant was a little better , but not that much better. There is really not much to do on the three different Islands, if you do not plan an Excursion. Freeport was by far the worst. There was absolutely nothing to do there. My cabin was always cleaned. The staff there are truly overworked. The ship should be updated. Two days out of the 7 they woke us the guest up early by stripping the paint off the sides of the boat with very loud machines. That was extremely rude and if you want to sleep in you could not. If you wanted to use the iron and ironing board you have to literally walk half way around the ship to find it . Instead of having an iron and every cabin . Instead of offering one free portrait of when you first arrive on the ship you have to pay for everything! Be careful of all of the fees and gratuity that they charge. I advise that you check your sail card everyday, so you won't get hit with fees before you exit the ship. I will never travel on this ship ever again. For the price that we all paid, it really was not worth the money we paid. Last but not least the cruise director was absolutely fabulous. He made sure that everyone was having a good time and he put on some good shows. Read Less
