Wow! This cruise was perfect! The nine days seemed like being at a camp for grownups. We had more fun and laughed more on this cruise than we did during our eight previous cruises put together (we laughed so much that we lost weight on the cruise)!
Baltimore
The Port of Baltimore is a breeze to use. We enjoyed visiting the Inner Harbor post-cruise.
The ship

NEVER buy Owners Suite #8002 unless you enjoy being under the galley of the Windjammer and listening to the carts being drug back-and-forth all day and all night!!! It was a doozy. Reported to the Head of cooking areas, no reply and no solution. 9 days and nights was more than we could stand. The embarkation and debarkation was great, the ship was in great condition and the staff were a "10" on ...
The staff on the grandeur are some of the best to sail with they make you feel like family and even enjoy laughing with you, though the ship is one of the oldest it’s well kept and they work hard to keep it as nice as possible, unfortunately the cooks on the other hand must need a raise as the food seems to get worse instead of better, save yourself some disappointment and buy the dinner package ...
We are from NYS so we chose this, our fourth cruise to leave from Baltimore and avoid the nonsense from the airlines. Six hour drive to the port from our house. That was a big plus. Baltimore cruise terminal was awesome at embarkation and debarkation. Lots of parking well organized etc.
We started out booked into an extended balcony, 2 adults, 2 kids, age 15 and 12. About 3 months out we ...
If you’re driving don’t get to the port before 11:30. You’ll just wait in a line in your car. I’d get there about noon and drive right in where you drive right by the luggage drop off, then through the payment booth and then park. Very simple. Once parked, we’re Platinum, we walked through and got to the Platinum room, barely sat and it was time to get on. We received our key and our rooms were ...
Food in the main dining hall was not that great. Wait staff seemed to be in a hurry to get you out the door.
The buffet on the 9th deck was fair. Too many stations to look at before you decided what to have.
Our ship arrived late in Grand Turk, but we were assured the excursion we selected would wait for us. It didn't.
The Bubbles soft drink package is a waste of money. Could only get ...
This is LONG but worth the read because this could happen to you!! And if it does your screwed.
Also in addition to my room leaking there were several other families on board who had same issue but not as bad as my situation. aND the adult serenity pool watch out! Oil spues from the engine and gets on your clothes bag in your drinks etc. and guest services said “that happens”
Horrible! We ...
We had a w/c accessible cabin (6182) for my mom who is in a w/c, myself and a friend. First for the god- Embarkation and disembarkation was easier than anything ever experienced on any other cruise ship/line. The crew was great/very very attentive to needs and went above and beyond, especially to help with my mom and make her feel included (she is 84). The cruise director, Leigh, was phenomenal. ...
This ship needs a complete overhaul. Bright work worn and battered. Upholstry throughout tattered and/or stained.
Food not acceptable; lacked taste, although presentation good.
Service insufficient. Wait staff good but slow. Bar tenders for the most part good but some down right unpleasant. Appears the number of wait staff was kept below required for the number of passingers. Save money ...
