Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

Having sailed with others, we are restricted due to the school holidays; where my partner works and it can limit our choice and availability. We flew to Copenhagen and enjoyed an amazing city before cruising. Everything from getting on the ship at Copenhagen to leaving it at Stockholm; was fantastically executed. Food and choices along with entertainment was the best I've experienced to ...

Best ship experience .... ever

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seabourn Quest

We have taken over 70 cruises. In fact that is a guess because we have lost count. We booked this 36 night trans Atlantic some time ago as we are tired of trans Atlantic flights and this itinerary looked very good. We had take two Seabourn cruises in 2022 and had a nice experience. When I learned that Quest was a small ship with around 400 pax, I was a bit concerned as we had been loyal ...

Cruise of the Vikings

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Seabourn Quest

Fabulous multi-country cruise from the British Isles to Iceland, Greenland, Newfoundland and Canada following the route of the Vikings. Ship's size allowed us to go places with stunning scenery that could not be viewed by anything larger. Room service was always on-time. Thomas Keller Grill was excellent. Main restaurant (dine when you wish) was great, too. We enjoyed outstanding service and ...

Chose this cruise for overview of British Isles. Port call at Le Havre France was a plus as it allowed for excursions to Normandy Beaches or Giverny to see Monet's Garden. Crew was superb. Excellent Cabin Steward, Bar and Restaurant Staff. Service was always friendly and timely. Bars were enjoyable spaces and nice places to hang out. Especially liked the Good Spirits bar at atrium ...

The excursions that were offered by Viking allowed us to see the beauty of all of Iceland! Never disappointed with Viking. From embarkation through disembarking, Viking makes sure that your needs and requests are always met. The staff goes out of their way with a smile to start each day as well as making sure that your room is ready at the end of each day. The meals were professional ...

20 day Northern Cruise-wonderful scenery

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Poesia

Our 20 day cruise went as high as illulisat Greenland with scenery or amount of Icebergs I was not expecting. The ship is old yes but extremely clean and well presented. We had cabin which was your usual balcony cabin layout. The surprise was having a kettle in the cabins to make your tea or coffee anytime. No USB ports in the cabin which is almost unforgiving these days. Food was extensive in ...

Hamburg short break, QM2 & Britannia Club

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

This was our first time on QM2 since 2017 - we very much enjoyed this 4 night break in a deck 13 Britannia Club cabin. Here are my thoughts. Cabin Despite being adjacent to the door to the open deck, the location was generally pretty quiet. The Art Deco design highlights gave the cabin a nice touch of elegance. The shower with the glass door was great, good water pressure and consistent ...

Honest Review of NCL Dawn

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

We have cruised several times, mostly on NCL. What I like about NCL is the freedom to eat when and where I like. I see a lot of reviews that mention nickel and diming. We like NCL because we only pay for what we want. No one will force you to buy something you do not want or need. Usually, NCL is fairly inexpensive compared to other cruise lines. It is funny when someone mentions certain features ...

First class cruise - awesome ship

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette

User Avatar

I start by questioning some rather negative reviews of Celebrity Silhouette which reference guests' demographic, number of children onboard, busyness of ship, over crowding etc. I don't believe this to be different to any other cruise ship (of a comparable class or equivalent 'passengers to space ratio'), having sailed myself on Royal Caribbean, P&O, Princess as well. My family (me, my wife, ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette

We chose this cruise as we had been impressed by Celebrity on a taster day visit we had done pre-Covid and because of the interesting itinerary. We had been concerned about some negative reviews post-Covid suggesting standards had slipped. However, we got a decent deal with plenty of OBC so decided to press ahead. We were delighted that we did. The whole experience was first class, we could ...
