5 Star

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette

Hi I have done 10 cruises with other cruise lines but mainly MSC. I had to do this cruise to use up a deposit for a previous cruises cancelled due to COVID. So Celebrity is 5 star well I did not get that feeling at all and the shows by the entertainment crew were not really up to standard. I must add the acrobats and rope work we're good. Food was like any other cruise but the Buffet was ...

Over hyped up, poor value, on board daylight robbery prices.

This was my 1st time with celebrity. Was expecting my experience to be a cut above the rest. If did not live up to expectations in virtually all departments. I'll start with a positive:- our balcony cabin was a good size, clean and comfortable. Only complaint was from my wife that when underway there was mechanical noise which disturbed her sleep, personally it did not bother me. Restaurant ...

Birthday treat for my grandsons aged 10 & 3 The corridor’s on the ship are wide and spacious, not like other cruise ship where they are narrow difficult for pushchairs/wheelchairs Amazing ship with plenty to do for the older children but be prepared to queue Plenty of swimming pools life guards are amazing Food was good plenty of choice, beware Johnny R u have to pay We only used ...

Not what I expected from Cunard

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

We chose this cruise because friends who live in the USA were boarding in New York and it was an ideal opportunity to meet up with them. The QM 2 is looking really tired but one can excuse that to some extent. We made a late booking so couldn’t get the cabin of our choice but really nothing to complain about our sheltered balcony cabin, plenty of storage and a comfy bed, our housekeeper, Hugo was ...

P&O service gone downhill.

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Arcadia

I have cruised with P&O several times in the past and have always recommended them above the likes of Royal Caribbean because the service has traditionally been so much better. Not this time. It may well have been that particular ship, the Arcadia, but had that of been my first cruise with P&O I would be in no hurry to go back. There was sickness on board (Norovirus) that was very badly ...

Went on Arcadia for new year with my wife, this was our fifth time on Arcadia and we basically thought most things had gone downhill, so are listing our thoughts as pros and cons: - Pros: • The Main Dining Room, considering all the negative reviews the food quality was much better than expected • It was good to see that some of the pre-Covid onboard staff have returned to the ...

P&O should be ashamed they allowed people to book this ship and this cruise in particular

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Arcadia

Note: I have copied this verbatim from other social media sites where I have posted. Partly because it is tedious to retype the same words but also because it still makes me angry to relive the experience. I should start by saying this was our first ever cruise so we have nothing to compare it to and it was a 10 day Baltic cruise on Arcadia. In fact that doesn’t matter because this cruise ...

A Beautiful Classic Ship

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

My wife and I have been on cruises with all the major lines. This cruise was magical. First --hats off to Cunard for even adding this itinerary--chasing the Northern Lights in Norway was a gamble. It was spectacular --and we had two ports cancelled as a result of storms. This ship is not a "rust bucket"--it is a beautiful and understated ship with great common areas; great staff; the best ...

Northern Lights – Out There Somewhere

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Island Princess

User Avatar

SUMMARY The main reason for joining this cruise is the chance see the Northern Lights, as the Ports visited are not very interesting, especially when it is cold and wet. Island Princess is now the smallest ship in the Princess Fleet (as is Coral Princess), has limited dining options and only two main lounges. Food and service were good. Daytime entertainment was poor but we had a great bunch ...

Classic and Intimate Cruise

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Island Princess

User Avatar

Island Princess provided us with the classic experience we look for in a ship. No waterslides, bumper cars, or go-kart tracks. Of course, this itinerary attracted quite an elderly group of guests anxious to complete their bucket list by searching for the Northern Lights. The weather was what we were prepared for as it was mostly overcast, rainy, and windy. The scenery was spectacular in the ...
