We chose this cruise because having travelled extensively both by land and sea through Asia we hadn’t touched on Indonesia other than Borneo and the itinerary appealed to us.
Embarkation was quick and efficient and we were able to access our stateroom immediately. The ship was lovely and very easy to negotiate our way around it. Public areas had lots of seating and were all aesthetically ...
This cruise was cancelled twice due to covid, but we finally got to do it in January.
We embarked in Bali, and was very impressed with the organisation and friendliness of the staff.
The cabin, balcony, and beds were comfortable, and adequate.
The trips were quite expensive, and usually ended in a shopping experience! But that isn’t unusual.
A couple of days into the cruise, we were ...
BENOA PORT EMBARKING:Waiting area perfect and covered but the cruise should ensure a plan B incase of crazy weather. We finally boarded right by the ship in sweltering heat where kids and elderly were having a heat stroke under no coverage with long cues until finally at the last minute Banoa port staff brought out seats and had celebrity staff giving out umbrellas. I travel to Bali alot and know ...
We chose this cruise because of the port calls in Vietnam and Hong Kong. Unfortunately, the cruise was canceled in Bangkok through an abundance of caution due to the Coronavirus. Yes this was disappointing, but this ensured that the ship and us did not got stuck in 14-days of quarantine somewhere. Regent did the right thing and was more than generous with the refund and future cruise discount. The ...
Just as introduction: I like Oceania's smaller ships a little bit better than their bigger ones, but mostly we choose by itinerary. We're Oceania regulars, but occasionally cruise on Viking Ocean, which we also love. We've also cruised about 4 times on other ships. We were happy to find that Oceania's quality had not gone down in the year plus it had been since we had last cruised. The ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary and small ship size and we were not disappointed! We were aboard for 3 segments: Comprehensive Indonesia, Borneo and Philippines and Icons of S.E. Asia (Vietnam), all of which gave us an insight into the culture and beauty of the various ports and countries. We were fortunate to be in Vietnam during Tet (Chinese New Year) so we got to partake in many ...
Long time Princess cruiser...first time on Azamara. The size of the ship (as with sister ships Princess has owned) is great...intimate and able to get into small (read interesting) ports. Food okay...liquor, soda, espresso drinks, and tips included...that's nice, but raises the fare for all. TV movies and shows VERY limited...repeated endlessly.
The "Quest" needs some cosmetic work, but ...
This was our 5th cruise on Azamara, and the 3rd on the Quest. First time over the Christmas holiday season.
First impressions, the Quest looks a little tired, however, it is slated for refurbishment in early 2016. There seems to be fewer wait staff than in the past, however the attitude of the staff and crew remains excellent. Food quality remains very high in all restaurants.
We made a ...
Sail Date: 22 December, 2015
Recently completed the 14 nights Christmas and New Year’s Eve cruise, on the Azamara Quest, from Bali to Cairns. Although my husband and I had a very enjoyable time, our experience of this second cruise was not the excellent experience we had had on our first cruise (Hong Kong to Singapore, Azamara Journey, January 2014.)
What was still excellent about the ...
This cruise was chosen for the itinerary. DH always had wanted to see Komodo Dragons and I loved the sound of Bali and besides it is hard for us to find a long cruise with all new ports for us. It was a delightful trip. Food was good (except for really bad orange juice) and drinks were freely offered except no diet Sprite in the whole of Asia it seems. We do not drink alcohol but it seemed that ...
