Decided to take a cruise for our Anniversary literally hours before the ships departure, booking online was very easy. This was our 33rd cruise and knowing it was an older ship we didn’t expect much. Boarding was easy and parking at the port was by valet a bit pricey for me but this was last minute and we didn’t have time to shop around, the ship appeared to been built in the 60’s and has never had a noticeable upgrade. The lighting, furnishings , and avocado colored walls were straight out of my youth. Our room was spacious with plenty of cabinets and drawers, it was very well maintained. Food on this trip was just okay, lido during the day and the dining room at night, the daily planner said that lido was open for dinner but it never was. Food highlights were a late night Mexican buffet and a smoked barbaque one afternoon, wish we had eaten during these off hours instead of the regular planned meals. Highlights of this short cruise were a well priced wine tasting $12.00 that included many wines that allowed you to come back for more also had a cheese, cracker and fruit tray serve yourself style, if you enjoy wine this is not to be missed. Our favorite thing of the whole ship were the nightly shows which I’m usually not a fan of. Their very talented singers and dancers were accompanied with acrobats doing their act while the singers preformed. It was like Circus de Solei on a smaller scale. Kudos to whomever put together this show. Read Less

Cheap and very good cruise, the buffet is very varied and in general cleanliness I give a 10. good attention to the customers. Comfortable beds and quite fun. recommended. I want to go back next year. My wife and I were an ocenview room. the theater show was phenomenal, tremendous dancers. Live music for all tastes willing to please you. I really want to go back next year. I took the excursion to Grand Lucaya. its a Beautiful place. Exceptional The saxophone show in the encore salon. the Game for couples stole laughter from everyone present. If you love to play, the casino is very well suited. Yellow Elder restaurant has excellent entrees included in the price and likewise additional dishes at a moderate price. the cleanliness is spectacular. the staff is concerned about constantly keeping everything clean and very organized. The area for jogging is excellent. I recommend this cruise 100%! ! ! Read Less

This was our first cruise to the Bahamas. Before arriving at the Port in Palm Beach, we were aware that there would be a $51 charge per person upon boarding the ship.($102) When were arrived at the port we were offered an upgrade called The Concierge Package for $329 total including gratuities. We accepted it because it included 2 days of Champagne Breakfast, 2 dinners at Admiralty, one being a steak & lobster dinner. Bottle of Champagne delivered to our room, Couples massage & Turkish bath, Comedy show tickets, Bridge tour & much more. It was absolutely worth it, everything was top notch, we calculated the value being more than double the price we paid. You also get a concierge to assist you in planning everything. We had a dispute with some charges on our bill and I called her up and she took care of everything! Fenecia was awesome! The best part is for disembarking, she walked us straight to the front of the line. No waiting for us, we felt like VIP both ways! We had an awesome experience we had a wonderful, clean cabin room with huge windows both ways as well. We stayed on the island for 2 days and overall enjoyed every part of our experience. Read Less

It’s was a nightmare. Getting harassed to buy a drink package we didn’t want . Every 5 mins until you finally buy at 80 dollars then your charged 3 dollars each time you get a drink. the staff is incredibly rude and incompetent no one wants to do their job and staff does not look happy to be there. as soon a i got on the ship they where giving us the run around we added a credit card just for them to constantly asking us about information on the card then one lady said cash only so they took 200 of our cash and still used our credit card for over 400 dollars after they said they wouldn't charge our card. then when it came to the excursions they told us to meet at the top deck once we got there they staff told us to go back down wrong floor (they made an mistake) and we almost missed our tour bus and we were extremely late holding everyone else up the staff got made at us and started screaming when in all reality it was there fault!!! comedy show and entertainment show was boring as hell there nothing to do on the ship. we paid and extra 50 dollars for a queen sized bed and it was two twin beds push together we could barely sleep together on our anniversary! the staff was no helpful and very very rude we sat at dinner and couldn't even have an conversation the waiters rush you to eat and a wine guy in pushing his wine package on you we told him no several times and he continue to harass us. customer service there is no help there loss their themselves the ruined what would've been a great cruise for our time anniversary dont book oh and the charge 60 dollars for two room service and they didn't even clean the room! and the charge to get on and off the ship every little thing they charge for! restaurants are nasty 0 stars if i could Read Less

Chose the trip as a first cruise for my wife. 2 days on the water is a safe way to determine if a longer Alaska or Eupopean cruise would work. Everything from the booking process through the disembarkation was smooth. The ship is older and has been refitted so it looks and feels modern. The cabin was nice, I jab a lower deck outside cabin that had a HUGE round port hole window. Queen sized bed, side tables, and a small TV (for what?) were in the room. The fridge wasn’t up to par and the head of housekeeping offered us an ice chest but we settled on a constant supply of fresh ice and that worked well. We ate at the Admiralty on the first night, which was an upgraded dining option but checked out the Ocean Buffet which looked substantial on its own. Night 2 we ate at the Rock Grill, on our next trip I’ll try to finagle the Admiralty both nights. The shows are so-so BUT the Adult comedian on our trip (Lou Remy) had the audience rolling in the aisles. If you’ve been to Freeport and hit Port Lucaya then there’s no need to spend anything on the excursions. I’m already planning our next Grand Classica trip. . Read Less

Husband chose it, we went for our anniversary. Everyone on board was so friendly and polite. We had a great time. The glass bottom boat tour was ok but not worth the cost. Iris the massage therapist gave me the best massage I've ever had. Tenacia the concierge lady was so helpful, between those two alone the concierge package was worth the extra $. Now the only complaints, best food we ate was barbecue and a hotdog because the expensive dinner was horrible, my duck and his steak was over cooked and the deserts were disgusting. Service was great. We did not get a final bill which is frustrating because it's hard to look at the charges and determine if they're all right. Overall it was ok but probably won't go on another cruise again anytime soon, this was my first. All the employees are so willing to help, that made you feel very welcomed. The dance crew were amazing, the comic was hilarious the first night the 2nd night not as much. Loved visiting the captain's cabin with the 1st mate, but we didn't get to meet the captain, my husband was disappointed. Read Less

The cabin was comfortable, and, we took the package for 10 drinks, which we think was well worth it. We had so much fun seeing Michelle perform we never got to any of the shows, or casino. All the music after her was good as well. I hope when we go back its all the same. We took the excursion to Lucaya, they give a tour of the island, we had a knowledgeable guide who then took us to the beach. Absolutely like I remember it from years ago, beautiful. We wanted to have lunch at the outside bar but there wasn't enough room for us to eat. They could use a few more tables. There wasn't a big variety on the menu, but we made do. Read Less

This is NOT Royal Caribbean or Carnival, etc. If you go in with that mindset then you will have a great time. The ship was VERY clean and this is coming from an OCD germaphobe. We saw people constantly cleaning all over the ship. They also have hand sanitizing stations all around as well. The food was pretty good. Decent buffet and late night snack of a taco bar one night and a mediterranean bar the next. We had the ocean view room and it was pretty spacious considering you were on a boat. The bed was rock hard but I digress, what do you expect? Plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the shower too. Getting onto the boat was pretty straight forward. We got there around 2:00 and it wasn't too bad. Plenty of people around to show you where to go. Parking is 20 bucks a day but we didn't use it so I can't speak on the service they give. They do try to hit you up with drink and dining packages before getting on the ship but we politely declined and weren't bothered by them. The shows are cheesy. SUPER cheesy but we had fun anyway. We aren't gamblers but hit up some of the slot machines and that was fun. They had some other games to play too like air hockey and a bowling game that was a good time waster. Again, this is not carnival where they have 200 activities going on. We booked an excursion that takes you to a private beach for the day. Paid 50.00 for the both of us. That did not include drinks or food but they did have that as an option. That was 70.00 per person I believe. The beach is very nice and has a tiki bar type of place there. They have waiters come around and take drink and food orders which is nice. Chairs and umbrella's were included the price. Because of where the ship docks you pretty much have to book an excursion. Some people mentioned jumping into a taxi but I didn't see any when we got off the boat. I also wasn't looking for them so that may have been why. The beach is 12 miles from the port according to our driver. The island itself is DEAD. DED, DEAD. Not sure if it's due to the hurricanes or just financial issues but here is nothing going on there at all. A lot of abandoned buildings and hotels that just closed up. It was kind of depressing but we still enjoyed ourselves at the beach. Didn't hit up the straw market but I can't imagine that we missed a whole lot there. All in all great value for the money. We live close to the port in West Palm so we especially enjoyed that it was easy for us to jump on this cruise. Read Less

We we’re so excited for this to be our first cruise together. This cruise ship is awful! Do not cruise on this ship! It has absolutely NOTHING to do on the ship. The food was horrible! They charge you for EVERYTHING. Total trip was 384 total for 2 people. They charge you for alcoholic beverages 82.50 for 10 drinks. If you have cash your cash is no long useable once you get on the ship. If you use cash is a 100$ dollar per person deposit to put down. For non-alcoholic beverages 34.50 an 18% charge on EVERYTHING!!! Once again do not pick this cruise! They charge 25.90 per person to clean the rooms. That’s not even included on how much we paid for gas to and from. We we’re charged an extra 244$ just for 2 nights. Oh Yeah and we didn’t even get off the boat!!!! The excursions are not worth it. When you get off the boat is only 2 little store and 4 to 9 miles to a beach! My whole birthday weekend was horrible!!! Literally you have to PAY FOR EVERYTHING. Non-refund for ANYTHING YOU PURCHASE on the ship. The crew members do not speak any English not one person! Horrible weekend! The breakfast was rewarmed the next morning. The line to exit the ship is awful! It says we dock back in West Palm Beach at 7am we didn’t, we didn’t get back until 7:30am the line to get back In The US is horrible they need a better system. Once again do not book this cruise the worst Birthday weekend I have ever experienced! The cleaners only cleaned the room for ONE day which was Saturday and everyone is off the boat by 8:30am on Sunday so why are they charging for 2 days of cleaning. The food was put up at a certain time. Everything stopped at 12:30. No need to buy the drink specials they tell you there’s no water on the ship but it is, try not to drink the water because it’s NASTY, All the water is connected!!! Also parking is 19$ a night 6/8/2018-6/10/2018 Read Less

I read through a lot of reviews before deciding to go on this cruise with my 2 kids (ages 10 & 15). I tried to prepare for any potential issues brought up by other reviewers. It turns out I didn’t need to! This cruise was great! I will preface my review by saying I have sailed in Carnival 5 times before. I needed something that would fit my budget and time schedule and this 2 night cruise on the Classica was perfect! Embarkation was a breeze. We were greeted warmly and everything went smoothly during the process. A delicious lunch buffet was waiting for us when we got on board. The selections at this and all meals were great. Our room was a spacious inside cabin for three. If I had to say one thing bad it would be the shower size could have been a bit larger. There were plenty of on board activities to occupy our time with. We dined in the Tellow Elder for dinner and breakfast and the food and service was wonderful! We caught both big singing and dancing productions and LOVED them. We also caught some of the other entertainment around the ship and they were all great! I loved this cruise and look forward to doing another one! Read Less

Bahamas Paradise Classico is so much better than I expected it to be . If I listened to the reviews I wouldn’t have booked this trip. But I wanted to form my own opinion. The food is Very good so far. We had the buffet lunch and for dinner we ate in the main dining room The salmon was the best salmon I’ve had in a while and the dessert was great . Our wait Ivan was quite attentive. Now We are walking around the ship .A beautiful ship with lovely art work. Our cabin is spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is big enough for two people to use at one time. The staff is friendly, efficient and professional. Saw the Donna Summer (Sharon Johnson) act in the Encore lounge and she was great . We had breakfast in the main dining room on the second day. Lovely luck we got Ivan for our waiter again this morning. We were offered danish, fresh fruit, omelets. Pancakes, toast, juices etc. Hearty and tasty meal. We have been to the Bahamas many times so we stayed onboard. Relaxed at the pool. Bahamas part 2 I decided to buy the 4 hour Internet package. It was $7. I checked my email and uploaded pictures to Fac ebook. The lunch buffet had a turkey carving station and fresh salad and fruit. Also offered pannini. I didn’t think I would like anything on the dinner but boy was I wrong. Goat cheese croquettes were yummy and so was the avocado mango chicken salad. 830 PM , Encore lounge had a Tina Turner tribute that was amazing. The show was called Superstition in The Legends Theater at 930PM . There was a musician, comedian , dancers and singers. Lovely trip. The only complaint is that there is not a drink station when dining areas are closed. You can buy alcohol etc. but coffee you need to pay for. I would give it a 9 out of 10. Read Less

Also was double charged and has been a hassle to get my money back! Been calling several times to clear this mishap but unfortunately I just keep getting the please call back excuse SMH. I just want my money back in my account. Met friendly people during the cruise and on shore. We did the inclusive Wyndham resort all you can drink and eat buffet, their food was better than crusie ship. Drinks were both good on ship and at the resort. Next I think I'll try the other one to see more shopping etc. But overall, good time with my cousin. PS: Next time I will use prepay debit card for cruise charges just in case so I wont experience this again SMH. Read Less

For the base-price, this cruise met our expectations…which isn’t necessarily a great thing. We knew going in it was a second-hand boat to a not-so-great port, but the price was attractive. It was cute for what it cost, but there are several reasons why after our trip (4/22 departure), we would not go with them again, nor suggest anyone to. - Our entire trip was plagued with worry & inconvenience because of them. Our card was declined the 1st night, which led to losing sleep & two visits to guest services, sitting on the phone with my bank for 45min each with a line building behind me (SUPER stressful). I was mad at my bank until I found out it was the cruise-line’s fault. Our bank never flagged or put a hold on the card itself, the cruise line ran a failed attempt to charge the card, but kept re-trying under the same authorization code, which doesn’t work. So, we worried, lost sleep, & wasted all that time we could have been enjoying our cruise & it was because they were running it wrong. Because of that, we were unable to purchase any additional food, drinks, souvenirs, or use the casino the whole first night. I got up early in the morning to hit guest services with no line for the 2nd of my two 45 min calls with the bank, trying to figure it out…missing breakfast, having to go straight to our meeting for the excursion. We used our card all day on the island just fine by the way. So, it seemed to be worked out…we purchased some items from the gift shop on the boat & a few drinks that night. In the morning, we were literally walking off the boat & they wouldn’t let us leave when they scanned our ID’s because the TIPS had not been settled…our card was “declined” again. Luckily, we had JUST enough cash to settle & not have to re-explain what our bank told us…that the card was never flagged or put on hold...the cruise line was running it wrong. That was the big thing. - We’ve been on cruises before…we know & love the international crew. On other ships though, they’ve also been properly trained in customer service & some basic English communication. I can’t count how many times we asked for directions or questions concerning various things & it feels like nobody understood what we were asking. “No…the BOW is not the pool.” They didn’t even know what parts of the boat they worked on are called? It was crazy…and God forbid we have any emergency & need to communicate specific instructions to anyone. Not kidding…it was THAT bad. Especially at customer service…trying to get them to understand the problem with running our card. - We got so sick of everything being an “add-on” or “upcharge”…things that on every other cruise we’ve taken were included in the base price. And the desperation to the point of harassment by the crew to sell drink packages the first night. The morning we were receiving safety & return instructions from our excursion guide, a crew member walked through the room literally shouting like a ball-park beer vendor “GET YOUR WATER….SAVE YOUR LIFE! GET YOUR WATER….SAVE YOUR LIFE!”. I shushed him & pointed angrily at the tour guide trying to give us directions we couldn’t hear. It was just not the relaxing or enjoyable experience that a cruise should be. My wife & I joked on the way home…”well, at least the Diva Duck Tour in West Palm was good”. That pretty much sums up our trip. Read Less

Very dysfunctional From the time you try to board from the time you try to leave. I have been on many many cruises. Cruise at least twice a year. I was not expecting Wish to compare to the other cruises. And there is no comparison. So not much of a disappointment. I paid for the best room. There’s only 10 suites with balconies so I got one of them. I also paid for the concierge service. That part is the biggest joke in waste of money I’ve ever seen. I’ve virtually had to beg for everything that I was supposed to get and still got nothing no VIP check-in to know VIP leaving and nothing in between. Ship is very old but nostalgic. I am not much of a foodie so I’ve never thought any cruise food was bad until this LOL. The specialty restaurant or not bad. But stay away from the buffet. So if you’re not expecting anything except a ride to the Bahamas you’re in good shape . If you want a cruise experience definitely try something else. This is common from probably the most laid-back don’t expect much person. I’ve never even written a bad review until now. I’ve actually tried to call paradise cruise to let them know my concerns and hopes that they can fix them. But like everything else it’s impossible to get a hold of anybody. By the way I was in the grand Terrace suite it was the loudest room I’ve ever been in constant tables and chairs being drug overhead and the amount of noise was unbearable. This is going to be long but I want to explain why this cruise is worth the money for anyone who is getting turned off from the horrible reviews! I was reading about this cruisline for a while and almost didn’t book because of such bad reviews. But then I saw The Classica was added so I wanted to try it out and I’m glad that I did! I can honestly say that the bad reviews I have read are about some pretty pathetic and nitpicking things! We did the BOGO deal and our total was only $350! Without gratuities or on board spending. First, there are NO “hidden fees.” If you read the webiste AND your confirmation emails that even has a FAQs and extra info in it, it literally explains everything!! From the fuel charge (ours was included in our taxes when we booked), 18% gratuities on anything your purchase, $13 comedy show etc. It is literally all right there IF people choose to read it! People just spend crazy on the ship and then get a bill at the end and forget that everything adds up. If you monitor what you’re spending then the prices on this ship can’t be beat! My husband and I set our expectations VERY low and I can honestly say that this boat is on par with both of the older carnival ships I have been on. I actually preferred this decor MUCH better! More modern and clean. Here are some key things I noted: Embarkation: the easiest on and off ANY boat! ESPECIALLY if you have a passport! You are treated like VIP! Took less than 20 mins from pulling up to valet to being on the boat. The ship - Very clean!!! The pool was really small but for only being on board for a total of a day and a half, I wasn’t expecting anything more. Adult only pool area is nice. Lounge chairs could be updated. Inside was really pretty. Nice hallways and stairs and the common areas were really nice with plenty of space! Cabin - We had an ocean view as part of the BOGO deal and the room was surprisingly big. Especially the shower and vanity space! Bed and pillows were both comfy. Room was very clean overall. No complaints there. Dining - We did the Yellow Elder (main dining) the first night and it was good. About the same as your other cruise lines. The second night we did the Admiral’s steakhouse and it was GREAT! I highly recommend paying the money to go!! The buffet was decent. Not bad, not great but it had plenty of options and was just fine for this type of cruise. Entertainment - We didn’t go to any shows but we caught the tail end of one right before bingo and it was pretty good. The band playing in the Encore lounge the first night was really really good. Especially the woman singer! We also didn’t participate in many activities but I saw some going on and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Service - The service staff was excellent! Very attentive and polite! I’ve read many reviews about how much they hassle you but we only got approached THREE TIMES the entire trip. Twice on the first day in the buffet and once poolside. If you just politely and firmly say NO, most of them will keep walking and not come around again. It wasn’t that serious like people in here are complaining about. Never once saw our room attendant but he/she did clean our room one night when we didn’t have our ‘do not disturb’ sign up. Freeport - The actual port itself is pretty run down and dumpy looking. With every excursion you have to take at least a 20 min bus ride away from the port which is included in your excursion. Our snorkeling excursion got canceled because of wind so we chose the all inclusive day at Wyndham resort and we had a great time! Check in at the resort took a little longer than it should have but the staff mentioned they were working on altering the process. We were treated to a large breakfast buffet, lunch buffet, all you can drink alcohol and soft drinks, beach chairs, pool access and pool side entertainment. Definitelty worth the $79pp! A few other things: Some of the really good things I noticed was how NOT CROWDED this ship was. It was sold out yet there was never crowds or lines (except day one at the lunch buffet) but other than that, there was more than enough room to not feel stuffy or squished like on other ships. We were on deck 6, mid ship and it was SUPER quiet. Nice change from other ships. The comdian Brian Bradley was SO GOOD! Pretty much picked on the crowd instead of doing his act and it was HYSTERICAL! Definitely worth the extra $13! The one really disappointing thing was the Crow’s Nest that was advertised as a sports bar with pool tables, arcade games etc. Well, that area isn’t even set up. Arcade equipment is still in pieces and everything was wrapped in Saran Wrap. It was only the second weekend that the Classica had been sailing but I was looking forward to spending some time there and was disappointed to see that it wasn’t even ready for guests. Hopefully that’s changed by now. Overall I would definitely recommend this cruise for a weekend getaway! My husband and I sailed to the Bahamas for $350!!! You seriously can’t beat that!!! Everything on this boat was well worth the $350. And the only people I can see not enjoying it are the people who had high expectations and thought they were getting a Norwegian experience at a super discounted price. Unrealistic!! Read Less

My experience of the Bahama Paradise Cruise Line ship “Grand Celebration” sailing 3/13/18. Sitting in a garage with my best friend and girlfriend 5 days before spring break thinking about what we are going to do. My best friend says “let go on a cruise”. We did a little research and found the Bahama Paradise Line. I didn't believe that you can go on being only 18 and drinking at 18, so I decided to call. That's when I met Branden. He answered every single question of mine, including pricing, what we need, and all the extra (normal) fees associated with cruising. I asked for his extension (343) so I could contact him later to book. Branden called me the next day just checking in to see how we were looking. I want to make it clear that I did not feel pressured at all into booking the cruise. I felt like I was one of his family members and he just wanted to see if he could make anything easier. A few calls were exchanged, and I let him know we are just getting the money situation figured out and I will call him back. A day went by when I later called him, “Hey Kevin how are you” was the first thing he said. To which I replied “Im great, and hope you are ready to take some credit card numbers”. Booking was extremely easy and I highly praise Branden for how easy it went. Getting on the ship was extremely easy and everyone was very welcoming. The ship was vibrant and clean and made me feel comfortable. The ship departed on time and everything couldn't be more perfect. Of course when we were in international waters it was time to hit the bar. I feel that all the food onboard was well prepared, and everything was absolutely amazing. Although a little seasick the first day and night on the ship was fantastic. The Bahamas was very fun as well although we did not do a shore excursion as we just wanted to relax on the beach. That night on the ship was even better than the first!!! The comedy club was absolutely amazing, and 100% worth the $12 per ticket. I can't put into words how amazing this trip was and how great everyone was. Hashi my room staff men even took the time to learn my name and upheld the most professionalism. I want to thank everyone on that ship for making my vacation fantastic. The wait staff at dinner was amazing and all the bartenders especially the one at the Oasis deck were absolutely amazing. And a huge thank you to Brandon for making this all possible! Honestly, reading google reviews and watching youtube videos about this ship I was a little skeptical and I started to judge it before I even got on board. I had head horror stories and to watch out for cheap cruises. But this cruise was amazing. I have been on a Royal Caribbean ship 3 times and Carnaval 4 times. The service on the Grand Celebration definitely competes with those lines. The google reviews do this cruise line no justice. I am a seasoned traveler, and extremely experienced with timeshare and vacations as executives of two of the largest hotel chains are in my immediate family. This cruise was absolutely amazing for the price. People say you get what you pay for… However on this ship, I feel that I recieved way more than what my $276 should have gotten me. Summer for me is in 4 months, and I am already planning my next trip. It won't be on Carnival, it won't be on Royal. Because I felt like I was part of a family on Bahama Paradise, I want to sail again with my family. I have been recommending this cruise to everyone I talk to since i've been back. And I will absolutely continue to. So thank you Bahama Paradise! Read Less

We have been on several excellent cruises and signed up for this "fun" cruise to celebrate a special anniversary. From the moment we boarded the ship we regretted out decision. Hardly anyone on the ship spoke English, smiled or was friendly. Unless, of course, you purchased one of the outrageously priced photos or drink packages. The food on the "all included" plan was awful, even the buffet. On the second night we were literally forced to order a special dinner with an extra charge so that we could at least get something to eat! Parking is nearly $20/night - not too bad for our two day cruise, but some folks exited the ship in the Bahamas to stay 3 or 4 nights and then come back. They had to pay over $100 just for parking by the time they got back. My husband tried to play blackjack and he, and the rest of the table, caught the dealer in a dealer error. The Pit Boss told the dealer to just put the card back in the deck! The entertainment was decent and a saving grace of the trip. We enjoyed the Dancers from England and kudos to them, and the comedian was excellent. Our room steward couldn't have been nicer, and we appreciated everything he did for us. There was never a "Welcome" from the Captain, or any opportunity to meet him. I overheard one woman ask for some coffee and the young lady had no idea what she was asking for. The first night, the people in the room next to us got into a screaming match at 2:00 a.m. This ship is a JOKE - avoid it at all cost - at it WILL cost you. The low price of the cruise is a scam just to get you on board. Read Less

If I could give it 0 stars would. *THIS CRUISE LINE IS ONLY GOOD FOR NON-EXPERIENCED & 1ST TIME CRUISERS*. I have been on 4 total cruises with Carnival & 2 with Royal Caribbean. My boyfriend booked it because this was his first time cruising and his gift to Me for Valentines Day this year. They charged his card for our full itemized charge total of $200 then charged his card again for each individual transaction that totaled the $200 they had already charged. When I asked the CSR I spoke to on the phone why were there extra charges when they've already charged us our full total she stated that's what Bahamas Paradise does. This makes absolutely no sense, they should either choose to only charge the full itemized amount or individual charges, but they shouldn't do both because that creates double charges on a persons bank card. We had to wait a week for individual charges to drop off. So for all future sailors expect to be double charged and refunded a week after you departure date. Most to cruise lines have a laundry & iron room or iron within the room, but Bahamas Paradise has neither so you are forced to pay them to iron your clothes because of this. Also there's no need to tip the employees AT ALL because they put gratuities charges on almost everything including alcoholic drinks order at the bar, food you order, Internet packages you purchase and more. The food selections and times of availability were horrible as well. In short, you pay for what you get and this is proof of it Read Less

We've cruised multiple times on other cruise lines and this was by far the worst. I felt like they did the bare minimum to call themselves a cruise ship. We traveled this low-budget ship in order to stay on the Grand Bahama island at a high-end resort for a week, then boarded the ship back into West Palm Beach port. The hook they use to get you is to sit thru a high pressure time share presentation. I have no problem firmly saying no, so I accepted that challenge. Afterwards, they send you back to the Welcome Center to pick up your cruise vouchers. They then tell you that they have a "limited number" of VIP passes that "send you to the front of the line" when boarding the ship. All you have to do is sit thru another presentation. SCAM... DO NOT DO THIS!!! When boarding, the line for the VIP was longer than the regular line!! BEWARE HIDDEN FEES: First, upon dropping off your car, you will pay $19 per night port parking fees. (If you're staying on the island for several days, that fee will be close to $100). Due to the taxes, port fees, ship fuel fees, island resort shuttle fee, Bahama gov't resort fees and all forced gratuity fees, you will be billed approximately $200 PER PERSON at the end of the cruise plus an additional $100 resort taxes/fees. Do yourselves a favor and skip this joke of a ship altogether. Spend a little bit more and book with a reputable cruiseline to truly enjoy a relaxing vacation and have a REAL cruise experience. We sailed as part of a package deal with a timeshare presentation. We stayed in Freeport for 2 nights, then back on the ship for another night. I have been on 14 cruises prior to this one...the shortest. The ship was formerly operated by Carnival as the Carnival Celebration. It is a 30 year old ship, but it still looks pretty good. I would say not quite as good as other cruises, but as a smaller ship, it feels less crowded and more relaxed than other cruises. Embarkation was fairly simple, and debarkation, although fairly easy, came with one glitch. We decided to self debark by taking all of our luggage with us. While we had a time frame for this, the ship did not announce when the ship was cleared and we could leave. By the time we got off the ship, there were 400 passengers in line to clear Bahamian customs. Fortunately, we bypassed that line because my wife is handicapped. Recommend self debarkation, but don't expect an announcement that the ship is cleared. Some people diss cruises, but personally, I've never had a bad one. Just go on this simple 2 night cruise, and just enjoy it! It is what you make it. I would go again. The only two things that took away from the experience: 1) The cruise line charged us $9 a day for a fuel surcharge. Not sure on what this is based, as worldwide oil prices have been very moderate, and 2) valet parking the port (not fault of the cruise line) was $18 a night. So this raked up a bill of $72 just for the 4 nights we were gone. Not many other options. You can self park, but not recommended. Read Less

I want to saw, my hats is off to the employees at Grand Celebration Cruise Ship. Everyone was super nice and very helpful. The food was excellent and their was plenty of it, must have gained 10lbs or more. I have been on other cruises but this one was the best by far. Our room was fresh and clean, their were plenty of activities that kept us busy, one big party. If anyone is planning a cruse the Grand Celebration won't disappoint. Thanks again for the great memories. The price was affordable and we booked the Bahamas stay for 5 days and 2 day Cruise through Royal Seas Cruise Line. Everything was included from 3 nights in Orlando and 5 days in Bahamas and then 3 night in Ft Lauderdale. What a wonderful time we had, well worth the money spent. Again if your looking for a cruise you simply cannot afford to pass up the Grand Celebration Cruise Line. This cruse is for everyone who wants to have a good time. Read Less

Great food, fun and excellent customer service by all of their staff. This was a great bargain and I will use them for additional travel in the future. I had a great time but next time will look for an adult only cruise ---too many kids on my trip and I love them but just too many! Cabin was clean and had ample room for luggage and pace to hang clothes. More entertainment and activities than we could do--great variety! Shore excursions were awesome! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Grand Bahamas Island , our day at the Lacayan Resort and shopping in the Lucayan Marketplace. The cabin staff were extremely nice, especially "Daniel". WE also had a great drink/bar serve Sean. Both of them went out of their way to ensure our stay was a great one. They even remembered us by name. We would love to take another cruise in the future. This is by far the worst cruise i have ever been on and i will never go back. I gave 2 stars because i loved the music by Dj Dani B. We also had Gary as the person that cleans our room he was awesome. But other than that thats all i enjoyed. I didn't care for the food and they charge for room service. Only thing you can get and not be charged that i could remember was a turkey sandwich. I guess i do enough research on this cruise before we took it but there were so many hidden charges. We got charged for Fuel. The fine print said we will be charged if the price of fuel went up. It did not but we was still charged for it. Getting off the boat was a horrible experience and took way way to long. I will never cruise with this ship again. It was great guality time for me and my boyfriend but i will never go her anymore. The hidden charges are horrible i rather you tell me up front what everything is. I give this cruise 5 thumbs down. Read Less

I liked sailing on this ship, we met friendly people, I liked the entertainment activities, the theater was incredible as well as the dinner we had on our first night. The service our waiter provided was awesome, I don't remember his name, he's from India and was very polite and gave us great dining suggestions. We also enjoyed the beautiful view in the prow and took lots of photos. I just think the service at the buffet needs to be polished a little bit, waiters need to be instructed their speech, cleaning tasks and the "running" system of the restaurant. One thing I really didn't like was that one of your photographers was flirting with my spouse and that made me feel totally uncomfortable. Please tell everyone that they need to be professional. They can be funny and respectful at the same time. My husband was doing ok, he's a salesman too and told me that this photographer was trying to do her best to sell the photos, but it was the wrong way. Thank you very much. Read Less
