Run, do not walk, run from this cruise line and never look back. We had the worst trip ever and I have been on 19 cruises so I know what to expect even on a 2 bit ship like this one. You get what you pay for could not be more true!!! I had to pay for many things out of pocket such as taxi fare because they sent us to the wrong hotel! Everything about this entire trip was awful, the casino credit was a joke...you have to match the $50 credit with your own money and can only be played at the tables. Stupid!! I can only say I have a 4 page list of errors and omissions, complaints and request for reimbursement that I have sent to the company. There were more costs incurred while on board such as a beverage package which was a rip-off. This company could care less regarding your experience and I will be surprised if I even get a response. The food was not good and the same thing everyday. I was very disappointed that there were no live shows and the entertainment was poor. The staff and crew were nice most of the time. “DON'T TAKE THIS CRUISE IF YOU ARE SMART So MANY extra FEES on top of advertised price!! Not worth it for our family. When we got to the port i. It is valet parking only, 8 per day The comedy show was an extra $12 u.s. each. Since when is entertainment on a cruise extra? The Stellar restaurant had decent food but the buffet wasn't much better than the cheapest buffet very bed . Servers poolside seemed to have no designated areas. You would order a drink and then while you waited you would have to turn away 3 other servers who kept trying to take your order. Do they work on commission? Overall service was terrible The manager at the customer service desk was extremely rude I felt like I was being sold something every time I left the cabin. They would come up to you and try to sell you everything from bottles of water to hats and sunglasses This trip was a complete waste of time and money! Stay away !! Read Less

We received a mailing to try the cruise line. Thought it would be fun to do. During the process of finalizing all the arrangements (upgrades), never received the confirmations that we were assured we would - had to call several numbers to track down all the logistics already paid for. There was too much traveling from location to location to secure vouchers/service for the "alleged" free meals, car rentals, hotel stay and ship credentials as part of the upgraded package. Each this items required taxes and fees. Additionally once you arrived on site you were advised that part of the arrangements required a 2 hour tour for a timeshare opportunity (which lasted 5-6 hrs). There were just too many surprises during this entire process. Once on the ship - it was outdated, poor drainage in the bathrooms and unsanitary conditions existed, not enough/poor location of sanitation hand stations, and difficult to sleep due to the loud sounds of the engines and vibrations. Many times we were bombarded to purchase drinks (we don't drink), attend a comedy show or secure photos - way too much hard selling. The highlight of the trip was the onshore excursion while on Grand Bahamas Island as well as one performance on the ship (Sax and Song at night). This was not our first cruise by any means, however it will be the last one on this line. The ship should be dry-docked. Read Less

My wife and i had done this cruise a year ago for our 25th anniversary and wanted to bring our 2 girls aged 22 and 24 along this year. Nothing could have been better, down to the amazing meals in the Admiral dining room with excellent personal and very warm service included in the cruise. The menus were absolutely filled with finely prepared food worthy of a top new york restaurant. This was a sweet, lasting memorable experience for each one of us. We would do it again at any time. in addition, the time in the sundeck was superb, which my daughter greatly appreciated. The time at the bar was also enjoyable as we enjoyed a very inexpensive flight of martinis for us to enjoy different types of mixes. We enjoyed meeting another couple who spoke with us frequently and whom we befriended. I would recommend this cruise to anyone and plan to repeat it myself at some point. Read Less

Worst vacation ever took. Never got to get off the boat, everything you wanted that was worth it, you had to pay for. 18% taxes on everything. Never got an itinerary, was hung up on and never told we were going to a different island (which we did not get to go to anyway). We had scheduled scuba diving on the other island so we had to cancel last minute because they gave us no information. Don't do it. It is the biggest rip off. It sounds good but they make you pay extra for everything. Rip off, rip off, rip off, rip off. It was so bad, I will never go on another cruise. We upgraded our room to the balcony room but the view was blocked by life boats. We had to pay extra to get a good meal. A $25 dollar of vodka cost us $100! (don't forget to add 18% to everything! My wife and I sailed aboard the grand Bahamas on May 10, 2016. Our experience during this time was both memorable and one that will never happen again. Consequently, My wife and I would like to express the issues that arose with the information that was provided to me by the agency, the service in Ramada Hotel, and the service aboard the grand Bahamas. I was contacted by the booking agency stating, I won a cruise; the agent proceeded to advertise of an upgraded package that was available. I agreed to the package of 2 nights at Ramada hotel in Ft. Lauderdale (all inclusive), 2 nights in Bahamas (all inclusive), and the 2 nights on aboard the Grand Bahamas. Thus, I was promised an ocean view aboard the grand Bahamas. Upon arriving the Ramada Hotel we were instructed to a different check in satiation where we were told “in order to get your booking tickets it is mandatory to attend a timeshare tour at 8:00 am, which is approximately two hours”, also a proof of attendance form that would be given to us after the tour (image my amazement to find out that instead of relaxing with my wife on our vacation we had to attend a presentation that is an hour way from the hotel that we are staying at). However, that was not the only interesting information that was bought to my attention; having to pay 25% gratuity (for him to serve you a drink in plastic cup), and $30.00 of taxes (which was suppose to be $25.00). Thus, in both cases I addressed the staff member of my concern and in both cases the staff member was extremely intimidating, unprofessional, and rude. On the next day, arriving back to Ramada (After a long stressful five hour timeshare) we once again missed the opportunity to use a lunch voucher (since check-in was at 3:00 and lunch ended at the same time we were unable to eat breakfast or lunch the day before) had to wait until dinnertime. Therefore, we returned to a representative with proof of attendance when she replied: “are you guys early birds”;…… if so we have a system that is only offered to 10 parties a day, consisting of first priority in boarding lines and in the immigration lines while entering and exiting the ship”. She went on in saying “do not worry there will be no timeshare tours”. So we agreed to a deceiving system that lured us to a different type of sales pitch (vacation club) and did not get the “VIP” status that was promised. Next was experiencing poor levels of customers service in several different crewmen which expressed hostile remarks and the upmost selfish tendencies that I ever have encountered. For example, I ordered a hamburger (in the hamburger station) when the chef replied “ go inside, they have food inside”. Another example was when we were given a different cabin with two rolled out beds(which I suffer from back conditions) side-by-side and a portwhole window which was suppose to be for the “ocean view”; I immediately went to customer service to express my complaint when the customer service representative stated “do you want to say where you or do you prefer the back of the ship where there is a lot of noise. Knowing this individual is not in my best interest I requested the corporate’s number, which he then proceeded to through the business card on the counter. The intention of this letter is to make aware that not many people are fortunate to travel with their loved ones; thus, it is imperative that if a vacation company advertises fun, exciting, and special memories that they measure up to what the customer is expecting and not scheduled events that are mandatory. Therefore, what we experienced was feelings of being deceived, tricked and forced to situations that were out of our control. If I knew that we were going to experience 75 % of our vacation in misery, then I would have just booked our vacation to the Bahamas only (which was the only highlight of our vacation, and were we felt at ease and where we could be out of our room and have fun!!) if your think about taking this trip think about it "TWICE" Izzy Read Less

This was my very first cruise and I didn't know what to expect ..boy was I pleasantly surprise..From beginning to end it was an excellent cruise "smooth sailing" I have so many Pics of the ship I will never forget how happy I was.. For all the negative reviews we must not have been on the same ship.. This ship was so clean and every one bent over backwards to accommodate U.. My cabin was very clean and U have Ur own personal attendant that will assist U with your cabin needs.. The entertainment was on point. the dining was exquisite having an array of foods to choose from even those of us that are "Vegan"...Ports an shore excursions, was very organized and safe... I really enjoyed the entertainment we were entertained by Comedians Dancers that were very good and had several different styles of dancing. I really love the the Lady who did the acrobats I was thrilled, I never seen any one with that type of agility... We also was entertained by a magician he was funny and had a great act .I really like the interaction he had with the audience.. From the start to the end and I really didn't want it to end it was truly an amazing trip so once again if U looking for a short or a long cruise the Grand Celebration is the ship you want to take your first, second or third etc on...Can't wait for my next cruise but I'll never forget my first "Grand Celebration"... Two summers ago, my boyfriend spun a wheel in Vegas and won a "free cruise." I was EXTREMELY skeptical (I dreamt about us arriving to a row boat with some PB&J sandwiches and a person saying "The Bahamas are that way, good luck.") We paid to upgrade to 3 days in Fort Lauderdale (stayed at Ocean Manor) and 3 days in Freeport (stayed at Grand Lucayan). We had an AMAZING time. We were first time cruisers and we are extremely easy going. We would rather be on a vacation (albeit, some long lines) than to be on no vacation at all. We came in knowing it was a smaller cruise line and set the bar very low, so we were pleasantly surprised. The room we stayed in on the way too the Bahamas was a standard cruise room with a picture window--exactly as we had expected. Dinner was really good (and good company!) and the casino was a great time. On the way home, we had a suite on the top deck and made some great friends. We enjoyed live entertainment both on the way to/from the island. If you listen to the announcements, there are a lot of awesome things to do like mojito-making lessons (they give you all the ones they make for the lesson!), a corn hole tournament, a relay race (more free drinks as a prize), etc. Our accommodations on the island were amazing too! Right by the super market, lots of fun entertainment, and good restaurants in and near the resort. We didn't opt-in for the all-inclusive and we were very happy with that choice. We ate most meals at the marketplace, but also enjoyed a couple of meals at the resort for a reasonable price. We bought two liters of rum for $20 (better than US prices) on the island with some sprite and mixers and made our own drinks (bring a Nalgene bottle!). Go in with an open mind and you'll have a GREAT time. Expect that you'll wait in some lines (getting on/off the ship, immigration, etc.), but know that if you expect the best of people then the best will happen to you! Somehow we were randomly selected to skip the LOOONNNG (like multiple hour) long line at immigration returning to the country (and randomly selected to receive a suite on the way home, too!) and I have to believe that it's because we stayed positive and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves regardless of a few minor hiccups. Best of luck to you! Read Less
