Royal Seas. Let me first say that there is nothing Royal about this. Don’t let the pictures of the brand new cruise ships fool you. The ship we got on was rusted and corroding away. They called us with an all inclusive package that in reality, was nothing inclusive about. We gave them a credit card number that we knew did not have enough to cover the initial $1,000 so that it would be declined and they could leave us alone. Well they had a way around that and charged it anyways so that we were way over our limit. After 6 months we decided that this was not something we were interested in. After trying to get a refund, we were refused and told basically that we either take it, give it to a friend, or forfeit the money. After some deliberation we decide to just go ahead and take it. We should have just forfeited the money. There was a bunch of taxes and hidden fees that were not included in our all inclusive package. We also paid $300 to upgrade our resort on the island so that our food and beverages were included. We set our date, book our flights ($400 extra), and arrive in FT. Lauderdale. After also upgrading the rental car (because we aren’t fitting comfortably into a Kia Rio $170 extra), we get to our hotel that Royal Seas booked us claiming to be a Ramada....yeah like 10 years ago. Let’s talk about false advertising here folks. The room itself was spacious, beds were not terribly uncomfortable, but the AC only cooled to about 78 degrees. Top that with only 4 tv stations, and the late night drug deals in the parking lot....we were not happy. Then we find out the next day our “orientation” was actually a Time Share tour. Living in a tourist town we know what a waste of time that was about to be...but they hold our Cruise tickets hostage until you endure 2 hours of “OMG it wont even cost you that much and you get this and this and this” better known as we cost more then a car payment and will bankrupt you into a contract you cant get out of. Come on Wyndham, you could have at least put us up in your “resort” to sell us a time share. After leaving 2 hours of our life that we will never get back, we call Royal Seas to complain about the accommodations, at first we get a rude little girl who very unprofessionally hangs up on us. As business owners, rule 1, never be the first to hang up. After calling back and speaking to management, they acted like they were gonna put us through to HR to put a formal complaint against that person, but we were hung up again, and only after saying they didnt have anything else available. Needless to say, we packed our bags, found the best little AirB&B 1 hour away and hightailed it out of there with our cruise tickets. Honestly, the AirB&B was the highlight of our trip. On day 3 we make our way to the port to board the ship. We get there at 11, stand in line for 1.5 hours, get charged $150 (taxes, fees, taxis, etc) and board the ship. Only to not have our rooms ready so we are forced to be around a bunch of strangers while hoarding our stuff because, well, they let anyone aboard. After barely eating a down right terrible lunch buffet, we sweat our butts off on the outside deck so the claustrophobia isn’t as bad before finally getting to go to our room...Where we promptly tried to hide in for 3 hours until the dang boat finally set sail. Let me say this right here if nothing else, they do not tell you what’s included, help you out at all, or care if you are getting everything you want out of the amenities included. We were afraid to leave the room for fear of having to be charged anything extra and at 18% gratuity alone, no thanks. Skipping ahead to the next morning (because there are just some stresses that needn’t be said) at 830 we all but ran off the ship to the hot island Bahamian air where we had to wait on a taxi to our resort. There’s our first indication that Islanders are not very friendly, especially when you’re a different skin color then them. We were ignored and left waiting for the next taxi because one female driver decided we weren’t her people. The next taxi held 12 people in it, 12 hot sweaty people, barely working AC, and a 20 year old van in desperate need of shocks. 20 grueling minutes later we arrive at the “all inclusive resort” where we were told to make sure we have a day bag packed because for 6 hot miserable hours, we would not be allowed to check into our room. At first we were excited. there was music, white (ish) beaches, and clear blue water. We found our own spot along the beach and took turns in the water (after all, trust no one, especially islanders haggling with you on the beach for Conch shells, marijuana, and Cocaine...yes, cocaine which we were offered 10 minutes after stepping foot on the beach.) 2 miserable hours later we get our buffet lunch (mediocre) and proceed to sit around for 4 more miserable hot sweaty hours before standing in line for 45 mins to get room keys. After walking to the absolute furthest room on the island we are met with a nice cool ACed room, but missing towels which an employee gave to us about 20minutes after getting in there. 7 hours in and we were already dead sick of being trapped in this resort. After looking into tours, excursions, and tourists traps (dont even ask about them unless you got money coming out of your ass because thats honestly the only way you’ll afford anything) the next day we purchased a rental car. $85 with taxes, we set off on day 2 with the resort in the rear view. While we found our own private beaches, coral rehabilitations, and deserted roads, the island is dirty, poor, and literally a living garbage can. Trash everywhere, run down buildings everywhere, abandoned hotels. It was downright sad at the state of what could have been a beautiful island. Day 3 we return the rental to an extremely rude owner who decided overnight that we were no longer worth mannerisms and check out of our hotel to get back on the dreaded cruise ship. I will say the return home was not nearly as bad now that we knew what was included but still, Royal Seas isn’t even comparable to one of those little rescue boats hanging off of a Carnival cruise ship. Before they con you into spending your hard earned money, think twice and read reviews. Splurge for Carnival, or stay away from floating death traps that hold a thousand people who would shove you overboard to save themselves and make your own way. AirB&Bs include house boats if you wanna be on the waters. Just saying. Read Less

Cruise over all was moderately okay. The ship was clean and easy to navigate. The cabins were presentable and just enough space for the 4 of us, having the bunk bed really helped. Dining was nice at the included buffet, the food was good and plenty of choices. Every night for entertainment we headed to the theater to watch singing and dancing which was fun to watch. Service was good they were very quick if you need anything at all like plenty of milk at night for the baby. Shore excursion was the best part swimming with the pigs was AMAZING and I highly suggest it. Once 3rd day which is day off the boat the whole family which includes 18 month old and 10 year old ( this was her bday gift) got red little itchy, stinging bumps all over our back, legs, and arms. Went to family dr once back home in Atlanta and diagnosis Bed Bug Bites. Tried reaching over 5x now to manager Maria at the cruise line but she is always in a "meeting". The cruise is what you pay for. Not hot food, small pool, decent service. I was going to suggest cruise to family and friends until this happened. I hate for other children to go thru this. Not the out come I was hoping for my daughters birthday cruise. Best part was swimming with the pigs. The staff was great and tour guide was very informational and friendly. Maria call us back! Old, Smokey, nothing to do but sit. This is by far the worst ship I’ve ever been on. DONT GO. I’ve been on many cruises. Horrible experience. You will get nickel and dime to death. The ship is very very very dirty and old. Chairs are plastic and uncomfortable and the tables are wobbly. The passengers are below working class. Lots of tattoos and smokers. This ship actually has an unpleasant order. Extremely boring. Cannot understand the PA system. This I was a trip from hell. Get ready to spend more money than they advertise. There are better ways to spend your money and have more fun. The only good thing about this ship is when we got off. The prices of the drinks were outrageous unless you think $15 fior a bottle of beer acceptable. You can purchase coupons that reduceses the beer price to $10 a bottle - what a great deal. They also want you to pay extra money to cook your own food at your table. Read Less

I would not recommend a cruise with this company. My daughter and I went on the Grand Celebrations Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line. What a disaster! The price to book was a good deal but all the extras that they add on later once onboard can get very expensive. We could have taken a 5 or 6 day cruise with a much more organized ship for what we paid to go on this 2 night cruise. Most of the cruise ships have the information in your cabin waiting for you on your arrival. We had to ask where to pick up the drink package coupons. No wash cloths in our cabin. We had to call to have someone bring them. We did not get our room serviced the next day. No clean washcloths or towels, bed did not get made. Once again we had to call. Ship was in port when a crane fell on the Royal Caribbean ship in the Bahamas. Our ship was delayed leaving the Bahamas because we took on 600 crew members from the Royal Carribean so they could shower, eat and sleep. Many passengers on our ship were going to miss flights and lose money on other reservations they had made previous to coming on this ship including my daughter. I even saw and heard a higher up crew member get very nasty and yell at passengers who where concerned about missing flights because of the delay. It was very obvious he didn't care about the paying passengers on his ship. He was only concerned with helping the crew from the other ship. Once we arrived back to West Palm Beach getting off the ship was a nightmare. No organization what so ever!! Terrible cruise line!! Would not recommend to any one! Read Less

Where to begin, paid for WiFi that didn't work, food was terrible, and they cost me more money due to the fact we didn't get back until 2pm when we were suppose to be back by 7am. They don't return your messages and you can never get ahold of anyone. They were doing maintenance on the busy while your on it which is very tacky! The drinks were defiantly over priced. The buffet was the same on both sides, you only got water or juice to drink unless you wanted to pay for a soda. They charged you for gratuity each day and an additional 18% on anything else you purchased! This was my first cruise and I was very disappointed. I understand things happen, but when its not your fault they should make things right! It send cheap on the computer but its not on paper! Be very mindful! Read Less

The complete experience was a rip off. 1- You pay for a deal of a cruise on groupon and you think you made a great deal but when boarding, they force you to enter your credit card information on a paper so that they can have a hand on charging your card for anything they want. You pay for fees that they never communicated on groupon : you pay for room service fee per person, not per room but per person ! even my 3 year old daughter who barely knows anything about a cruise paid full price for a room cleaning fee. 2- You pay 18% gratuities whether you like it or not. This should be optional and never mandatory. 3- You pay for a plastic , defective room key that they provide you with wrong instructions on the key and if the key happens to break or get lost, they will bill you $20 per key (even an hotel will never bill you for a lost key !) 4- They will play you at the casino and make sure that you waste your money there 5- The customer service team is awful ! They are rude and barely answer your question. They are aggressive and do not look like they enjoy what they do. 6- The disembarkation process is mess with a queue that is endless when getting out of the ship. Thankfully I had a little child which put me in a priority line but otherwise, anticipate wasting 1-2 hours getting out of the ship ! 7- They will charge you any amount they want on your card and you do not even get an invoice for every charge to understand it unless you ask for it ! Few waiters that served us at our table were courteous but apart from that, I never knew that I will end up paying 10 times the price of the ship once onboard ! The pool was dirty, clearly you could see that the water has not been changed frequently, neither was the pool cleaned. Read Less

The "newly refurbished" Grand Classica was a total disappointment, to say the least. Slapping some paint on the walls and updating light fixtures does not count in my book. Two toilet seats (one on pool deck and our state room toilet) completely fell off when lid was lifted. Staff was rude and not helpful in the least. TV did not have volume for most of the cruise. No washcloths or room service menu were available until late on first night. Garbage from previous cruisers was still in trashcan in state room. Refrigerator was warm, so forget about keeping drinks cold. Only two hot tubs on ship, one was broken. ATM broken. Head waiter in The Yellow Elder was extremely rude. Our waiter, Fernando, was the only staff member on the boat that acted like he enjoyed his job. Food was sub par at best. The bus driver on the excursion, we paid good money for, blasted raunchy rap music the whole time to cater to the drunken idiots in top of bus. When asked to turn it down, he ignored us. "Showtime" singers and dancers were lacking on talent. It felt like I was watching a dance recital for children. Everything was overpriced for the quality you received. Buffet food was cold and tasteless. Worse than army chow. In order to get a decent meal, you had to pay ridiculous prices. Day of embarkation, we were rushed off the ship by obnoxious staff members. I am severely disgusted with my whole experience. Step it up Grand Classica! Read Less

I didn't choose this line, but I went along with the family. Not mentioned anywhere on the web site literature was there any mention of the Hispanic dominance of the food and staff. The serving staff were extremely nice and helpful. However, not all members of the serving staff spoke English. The ship was very clean all over. The restaurant "complimentary food" in Stellar Prime Dinning room selections were not to anyone's taste in our party. When the meals were served, they were generally the wrong selection ordered and/or barely warm. It seemed the waiters had trouble with English or didn't care what they served us. Thank goodness for the Plunge Grill and their hot dogs and hamburgers. Their best meals were found on the breakfast buffet. They did have activities for kids. There were many extras available for high dollar fees. Embarkation process was a nightmare. The first indication this cruise was a bad idea was waiting hours for the checking in process to begin. If I could get my money back I would have after the first hour. Getting off the ship was a lot easier and a relief. Never Again! Cabin was OK for one person. I pity the family of 2 or more the the typical cabin. Read Less

My sister visited from Canada so I thought I would take her on a little cruise. When we got to the port it was raining very heavy. It is valet parking only, and they instructed me to pull around from the covered area to get out. I told them I didn't want to get out in the rain and they said I had no choice and that I had to get my own bags out of my vehicle. When we went into the terminal, it was very chaotic. They had lines for drinks and dinner and no one let you know what you were required to line up for or where to go from there. It was very disorganized. Once on board we went to eat as our rooms were not ready yet. We sat down to eat and they came and told people to move because there was flooding from the rain. It was pouring in on the floor through the outside doors. The room steward was nice and helpful but insisted I complete the review on him ASAP. We did not even get a chance to see what kind of job he did. He wanted it the same night we boarded. The room was ok, not as nice as other cruise lines and not as much storage area. The shower constantly leaked out into the bathroom when in use. They had one bed set up so I had to request it get separated to two beds. This was done but the bedding for the large size was left on one of the beds so it was hanging and piled up on the side of the bed. The mandatory muster was scheduled for 5:30 pm and was postponed until 7:30 pm so those of us with the late dinner din't get the nightly show, it was cancelled for us. I had purchased the drink package when I made my cruise reservations. No one told me what to do or how to claim this. I found out you had to go to a certain bar to get your vouchers. When I went they said I was not in the systems and sent me to guest services. When I got there it had a huge line. When it was finally my turn, they said they didn't see it and I would have to call and talk to the booking people. They did let me use the ship phone. When we went to eat dinner in the dining room, The chair I had at my table was broken. I requested for it to be changed to 3 different dining room staff but it was never replaced. The food was not that great and people from our table said they would not come back to eat in the dining room again. I booked the sightseeing/shopping tour which was one of the recommended excursions. It was still pouring rain and they took us to a Double Decker bus that was open on the top floor. I requested the lower level because my sister could not make it up the stairs.Once the bus started, dirty water came pouring down on my sister from the above deck floor. The only other empty seats had puddles of water from other leaks. We had to get tissues to try and stop the leak. We told the driver but nothing was done. The tour itself was very boring and was advertised that we would drive to famous peoples homes, but we drove to two people that they talked about who were local, so not famous. The bus dropped us at the shopping area and said we could catch buses back to the ship on the hour each hour until 4:00 pm. We along with a group of other people waited but no bus showed up for us. Another bus that had a private tour to pick up ended up taking our group back to the ship after we had waited over 40 minutes. The rain continued the entire cruise, and the ceilings in front of the elevators by the buffet area were leaking. I took pictures of the ceiling leaks and the 5 buckets in front of an elevator that they roped off trying to catch the water. The other elevator only had one bucket to catch the water. the carpet was soaked and water came into your shoes as you walked through. When we docked they had us lined up on our floor in the hallway, almost the entire length of the ship. When we got off the ship and went to get my vehicle, the valet brought my truck and walked away. I had to place our bags into my vehicle myself. I have been on several cruises of 2 nights to 2 weeks and this was absolutely the worst cruise I have ever been on. The only good thing I can say is our waiter was friendly and had to deal with a very rude person, and he handled it well and professionally. I was so disappointed and felt like this had been an entire waste of money. I live in the Tampa area and travelling that distance was bad enough for such an awful experience, but I felt bad for the people from out of state and out of country who came for this cruise. I will never go on this cruise again and will NEVER recommend it to anyone. Read Less

Booked this cruise 3 months ago. I was told I would be getting an oceanview handicap room because my mother is in a wheelchair which is what I paid for also paid for a handicap room at the hotel we were staying at on the island. I spoke with someone 3 weeks before my cruise and told me I was receiving something else. I spoke with the supervisor who was supposed to email the ship so they can install a bench in our room so my mother can shower but was never done also it was my dad's birthday and was supposed to receive a cake for him. Cut to a day before the cruise because they sent me a confirmation with something different on it so I called again. I was told I was not getting a handicap room anymore and there was nothing they can do because the cruise was booked. So I called again on the day of the cruise explaining the situation and was told by Maria, the customer service supervisor, that this situation wasn't bad and I was ruining my own vacation and I was making this up but I had to endure this because I would lose my $1600 I paid. SO.. I went. When I got to the ship I endured the inside cabin which was not what I wanted and had to have my family suffer because this cruise line was insensitive to the handicap. When we got to the island, I was told by the TAXI DRIVER that the hotel closed down last October (which would have been nice if the cruise line told me). If I had known I wouldn't have booked this in the first place. Got to the hotel, which was not handicap friendly either, which they were supposed to take care of and again had to suffer through it. I work hard for my money and wanted to take my family on a nice vacation but this cruise line ruined it!! I have been trying to get a hold of a supervisor for the last week but they are either on the phone or not in and wont call me back. Whenever I try to get to someone they hang up on me, I write this to warn you DO NOT go on this cruise!!! It is not worth it... Save your money and go elsewhere. Read Less

I did a lot of research before I purchased this cruise. I got a 'deal' through groupon, $269 for two people. When I called to book the cruise, I had to pay $65 per person for port fees. We arrived at 130pm, only way to park your car is valet, $18/ night, and only cash. There were about 300 people as we entered, no clear direction as to what was going on, we had to fill out paperwork for our on board credit account. We waiting about 2 hours in a line to get the room keys, and our info inputted ( which I had already done when I booked the cruise) . After this process we headed on board. The cruise ship is an old Carnival ship, VERY clean and polite staff ( this was the highlight) . They had a variety of entertainment that was suitable, nothing over the top. An adult comedy show was $12/ person, and wasn't that great. Check your weather as we had terrible motion sickness. We chose to venture out on our own once we arrived in Freeport. They loaded up 10 people per taxi for a 15 minute ride ( $10 round trip / person ) here you got to see the hurricane damage and a 'shopping center' with each store selling the same expensive stuff. $20 for a DORA shirt that said bahamas. AWFUL!! Honestly I would've just purchased souvenirs at the freeport port as you exit the boat and then spent the day on the now quiet boat. The excursions were expensive $100+ and I heard they weren't the best. A lot of people did they 2/4 night stay at a resort in the bahamas and apparently that was awesome. We had two twin beds pushed together to make a makeshift bed, it was awful and didnt lock even after asking housekeeping. Alcohol is very expensive, cheapest bottle is $100 of absolut, and soda you pay $20+ for unlimited . I would recommend getting drinks individually ( they had 50% off drinks during the entertainment, so wait for that) the drink package was $70 and was 10 8oz drinks, not worth it. $12 for a cocktail. Food was okay, set up was great, but certain things didnt taste right. we were sick and left the Stellar restaurant but the food looked amazing , also, there are two restaurants that are an additional charge, The Bull and Admiral club. You need your room key to get towels, and if you dont return them at the given time you are charged $20 per towel, same with room towels, if housekeeping comes by and you have taken a towel you get charged. Overall, we spent over $600 and this is without the excursions, definitely a waste for two mediocre days. DONT get this cruise, rather go to the Keys in a 5 star hotel. Read Less

memorable and enjoyable place to vacation. It looked like a poor third world country. We refused to even get off the cart and had it take us right back to where we came from. We ended up walking down to the Hilton and having a few drinks at the outdoor bar until we were able to go back to the ship. The food provided in the “cafeteria” was embarrassing. All everyone kept telling me was how much I would love the food and the variety of items offered. Every time we went to the buffet the food looked like it was frozen, processed and reheated. We ate each meal at the outdoor grill where we could watch it be prepared or in the Prime restaurant. To add insult to injury when we finally made it back and were ready to de-board the next day we were told that we had to go back to the service desk as there was a “hold on our release”. I got upstairs to the service desk and was advised that my card was declined for $86 worth of incurred charges, that even included FUEL for the boat… I can’t even begin to understand how you would have the audacity to charge each passenger for fueling the boat but nonetheless I called my card company and was advised that there was a fraud protection hold that was on my card for a suspicious charge. Come to find out it was the drinks at the Hilton bar in Bimini but because it was in another country they took security measures. I advised the charge was authorized and was told the hold would be released in 24 hours. I relayed this to your customer service representative who then stated that I would be held on the boat until the balance was paid. After I explained to him that that was unlawful imprisonment, I asked to speak with a supervisor. I was first told there was not one available and when I insisted I was asked to wait. In my HOUR LONG wait for a supervisor I overheard dozens of passengers who had issues with credit card authorizations, one young lady had actually been asked to come the night before because they could not read the imprint on her card, she supplied it again on a new authorization form and THEY LOST IT!!!! Needless to say, after listening to complaint after complaint after complaint about charges I never actually saw a supervisor. The same gentleman kept telling me that “she” was on her way and when I started reiterating that I had a flight to catch he understood the importance of them moving expeditiously. However, I never spoke with a supervisor. I was told to wait for another half hour and then asked to sign a promissory note BY THE SAME GENTLEMAN WHO TOLD ME TO WAIT for the remaining balance (which I could have done from the very beginning when I advised they could run the card again in the morning as they had all the necessary information) After an hour and a half of waiting we were released to get off the boat but immediately heard an announcement that the customs area was full and they were asking people not to de-board until they could get caught up. We waited another 30 minutes before we were allowed to proceed off the boat and spent 2 hours in the customs area. Not only did I miss my flight but I missed a second flight home and we were not able to leave Florida until 8pm that evening (from a 10:40am flight). I spent my entire birthday sitting in customs and then sitting in an airport. My fiancée made dinner plans for the family that evening as my flight would have put me home at 2pm and the guest of honor was unable to attend as she was stranded in Florida, though we had family travel from out of state to celebrate with me. I have never been more disgusted with a company in my entire life. The professionalism, the un-organization, the blatant disregard for your passengers time, when offering such a poor experience is mind blowing. Read Less

Horrible experience all around. They were welding and painting the boat while we were on it, it smelled horrible. The food was mediocre at best. The waiter told us that the food is the same in both restaurants but they just charge more in the upgraded restaurant which we got suckered into the night before. There are servers dedicated to food and some to drinks, you can't just get service from one waiter and you have to track down the right people to get you something. Overall service was terrible. We paid for an excursion that was canceled and they said they would refund us but what they don't tell you is that they still charge you a fee if you get off the boat. The manager at the customer service desk was extremely rude. Worst of all, we upgraded to a balcony suite but what they don't tell you is that the life boats COMPLETELY obstruct the view from the balcony. I felt like I was being sold something every time I left the cabin. They would come up to you and try to sell you everything from bottles of water to hats and sunglasses to sunscreen. This trip was a complete waste of time and money! Stay away Read Less

was rewarded a free cruise on the Grand Celebration through Royal Seas Cruises to Freeport, Bahamas. Had a terrible customer service experience and was given as little information about the trip as they could. had several hidden charges and like most cruises entertainment is supposed to be free... IT IS NOT on the cruise. the terminal messed up my whole groups payment information and the ships guest services authorized charges the were not signed off on. they had none of the documentation the we had filled out at the terminal. Customer service on the ship was AWFUL!!!! they were rude and ignored us. they blamed all of their screw ups on me and wanted us to pay for contacting our banks when it was their fault all of our information was messed up. went to reserve diner to only find out that only reserves one day... have to set up separate reservations for each night. Also, the size of the rooms on the ship are not as pictured.. and we weren't given enough beds for the amount of people cruising. the only part of the entire trip that we actually enjoyed was the excursion, and the only people that were a joy to encounter are Lyndo (Bartender), Anthony (Guest Services), and Anna Cruz (Asst. Manager Guest Services). Read Less

I have taken many cruises, but this one was the worst. I will start off with a few positives. The check in process was easy, and the entertainment show was very good. Now for the negative experience. The ship is very old, and the workers on the ship are not friendly or helpful at all. We purchased a room for 4 people, it was really a two person room with a bunk up against the wall and a roller bed with no room to put it, so we ended up sleeping 3 people in one bed. The room was not clean, there was gum embedded in the carpet. This is nothing but a booze cruise with very sketchy people. I did not feel comfortable letting my kids walk around the boat by themselves. The food was okay, I didn't expect much since this was a low budget cruise. The only thing I enjoyed about this cruise was when I got off the ship in the Bahamas, which is an absolute gorgeous place. My advice, do not waste your money on this cruise. Read Less

It was supposed to be a free cruise advertised on the radio which was a scam. We ended up paying over $700 in total for a 2 day cruise in which we stayed in a tiiny cabin on the lowest level of the ship with a broken air conditioner the ENTIRE time- We were so hot and miserable we contacted the staff and every time they said they would send someone right away-no one came. They never offered a fan so when we realized it was never getting fixed we ask for a fan- they brought us one- it didn't work - 2 hours later they brought us another after 2 more phone calls. Also We were charge $24 in maid fees -our room was never cleaned nor did we ever see a maid. I will forever tell people do not use grand celebration-ever. I do have one good thing to say- the young cruise directors were excellent in entertainment and very friendly. Read Less

My wife and I sailed aboard the grand Bahamas on May 10, 2016. Our experience during this time was both memorable and one that will never happen again. Consequently, My wife and I would like to express the issues that arose with the information that was provided to me by the agency, the service in Ramada Hotel, and the service aboard the grand Bahamas. I was contacted by the booking agency stating, I won a cruise; the agent proceeded to advertise of an upgraded package that was available. I agreed to the package of 2 nights at Ramada hotel in Ft. Lauderdale (all inclusive), 2 nights in Bahamas (all inclusive), and the 2 nights on aboard the Grand Bahamas. Thus, I was promised an ocean view aboard the grand Bahamas. Upon arriving the Ramada Hotel we were instructed to a different check in satiation where we were told “in order to get your booking tickets it is mandatory to attend a timeshare tour at 8:00 am, which is approximately two hours”, also a proof of attendance form that would be given to us after the tour (image my amazement to find out that instead of relaxing with my wife on our vacation we had to attend a presentation that is an hour way from the hotel that we are staying at). However, that was not the only interesting information that was bought to my attention; having to pay 25% gratuity (for him to serve you a drink in plastic cup), and $30.00 of taxes (which was suppose to be $25.00). Thus, in both cases I addressed the staff member of my concern and in both cases the staff member was extremely intimidating, unprofessional, and rude. On the next day, arriving back to Ramada (After a long stressful five hour timeshare) we once again missed the opportunity to use a lunch voucher (since check-in was at 3:00 and lunch ended at the same time we were unable to eat breakfast or lunch the day before) had to wait until dinnertime. Therefore, we returned to a representative with proof of attendance when she replied: “are you guys early birds”;…… if so we have a system that is only offered to 10 parties a day, consisting of first priority in boarding lines and in the immigration lines while entering and exiting the ship”. She went on in saying “do not worry there will be no timeshare tours”. So we agreed to a deceiving system that lured us to a different type of sales pitch (vacation club) and did not get the “VIP” status that was promised. Next was experiencing poor levels of customers service in several different crewmen which expressed hostile remarks and the upmost selfish tendencies that I ever have encountered. For example, I ordered a hamburger (in the hamburger station) when the chef replied “ go inside, they have food inside”. Another example was when we were given a different cabin with two rolled out beds(which I suffer from back conditions) side-by-side and a portwhole window which was suppose to be for the “ocean view”; I immediately went to customer service to express my complaint when the customer service representative stated “do you want to say where you or do you prefer the back of the ship where there is a lot of noise. Knowing this individual is not in my best interest I requested the corporate’s number, which he then proceeded to through the business card on the counter. The intention of this letter is to make aware that not many people are fortunate to travel with their loved ones; thus, it is imperative that if a vacation company advertises fun, exciting, and special memories that they measure up to what the customer is expecting and not scheduled events that are mandatory. Therefore, what we experienced was feelings of being deceived, tricked and forced to situations that were out of our control. If I knew that we were going to experience 75 % of our vacation in misery, then I would have just booked our vacation to the Bahamas only (which was the only highlight of our vacation, and were we felt at ease and where we could be out of our room and have fun!!) if your think about taking this trip think about it "TWICE" Izzy Read Less

We saw the commercials on TV that totally mis-portrayed the amenities and facilities and overall condition of this boat. It is the Cape May-St Lewis ferry with a pool and cabins. The ship is old, the rooms are old and amenities outdated (CRT TV-s), "dining hall" is like a cafeteria with a few salad bars and self-serve stations; must go to the bar and pay extra for everything you drink. And when you are boarding, you have to run the gauntlet of tables for each dinner reservation, excursion and extra on board where again, you pay for everything. Very outdated and I would not recommend unless you are interested in a very low cost getaway. Then again, the cost per night is more than you'd pay for a land budget motel chain, which is what I would compare this ship to. Beware the "cancellation plan" which is not trip insurance, despite what their sales reps say. Read Less

I took this cruise because it was a package deal, where we would stay in the Bahamas for a few days and they get back on the ship and go back. Well my problems started when I did not received my bag with the rooms around us, I did not receive it until 4:47pm while all other rooms on our floor had received theirs, and when I got mine the handle was broken, it was a High Sierra Adventure 32" wheeled duffel, how they broke the handle I do not know, but the attitude of the people at the customer service desk sucked and thats being nice. They took pictures and gave me a damage report and stated that they would report it and I would hear from the office within a few day of returning home, well I did not and had to call them, the report was never submitted. Lucky for me I took pictures and had them dated myself, I sent them a copy of the report with the pictures and the web site for my item. I got the item on sale over the holidays and told the the replacement cost, they said they could only pay me for what I paid for it "Bull ____!!! It is not my fault that their personnel damaged my bag and they should pay for the cost to replace. Second problem, I requested 2 beds in the room, and it only had one, when I told them of this and showed my request I was told "well its only one night, but I made them change the bed into two, plus the room was not clean it had dried fruit pits on the floor and hair in the bath room, once again they did not believe me and sent a supervisor to see it for himself. I was able to access my cabin about 6:45pm I had been on the ship since 12:30. They say they had shows for our enjoyment, right which you had to pay $25.00 to attend. All I can say is you get what you pay for, I would not recommend the cruise to anyone, I have been on many cruises and this if by far the worst ever, did I mention that they were painting the ship and had one side of the stairs roped off because of it. I am a disabled Vet and thought it would be nice to take my niece on a little get away to say thank you to her for all she has done for me, well now I have to plan and save for another for the two of us because of this bad experience. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CRUISE LINE TO ANYONE. Read Less

I booked a package of what I thought was a deal with the grand celebration ship that sailed from Florida to the Bahamas. This was supposed to be an all inclusive deal meaning flying to either Orlando or Fort Lauderdale first then boarding the grand celebration ship from one of the two cities. After boarding the ship we sailed one day to the Bahamas and we were left in the Bahamas for three days two nights (the only good part of this whole ordeal). We then boarded the ship from the Bahamas to come back to Florida where we would then drive almost three hours from the port of palm beach to Orlando and them stay two nights at a hotel there in Orlando. This was supposed to be an all inclusive package one flat price for 10 days. Little did we know that getting to the Fort Lauderdale area where we're picking up our rental car (that was already assigned to us by the package deal) was from Alamo rental cars. About two months prior to this trip I was told by a telephone operator who helped set up my package that since my boyfriend and I were under 25 we would be charged a fee of approximately 25 dollars a day for our entire trip and then we would be refunded once we returned the car back on our final day. After getting to the rental car place (which again was lot of our choosing) we were told that "whoever told us that we would get the 25 dollars a day back was very much wrong and it was non refundable. As if that was not enough, the car we were booked with (again by the scammers) was an economy car. After Alamo saw our two luggage bags (which easily fit in a very tiny Acura RSX on our way to the airport with three people in the car also) they insisted that our bags would not fit in THE CAR THEY BOOKED US IN and that we must upgrade to a higher car. We asked the employee that helped us if we could just squeeze it in and she would not take no for an answer. She would not let us take our rental vehicle unless we upgraded which was an additional 20 dollars a day for the entire 10 day period. This had our total for our rental car alone at over 500 dollars !!!! After being forced into paying for an upgraded car for our two medium size bags we proceeded to pick our rental car from the parking garage. When getting to the parking garage we asked an entirely different employee to just SEE how big the economy car was to see if it was manageable for our two medium bags, just like the prior employee inside he refused to show us the economy cars and told us we had to go with the upgraded car because our bags would not fit completely shutting us down without even letting us just see the car. We finally gave up with the employees and just took the upgraded car since we were already charged for it. When getting to the first hotel I'm Fort Lauderdale there were additional charges that we were unaware of and had to pay for our two night stay there. Although the hotel was very beautiful and the staff was friendly it still was an inconvience for the additional charges. After checking out and processing to the cruise part of this package deal before even entering the grand celebration ship we were forced to sign up for a shuttle bus that was $18 a person extra for our transportation from the port to the private Bahamas resort (which again was a hidden charge we were unaware of). After boarding the boat we had to wait almost two hours to get to our rooms. When we got to our first room the air conditioner which was attached to the ceiling would not turn off and we literally froze while sleeping because we could not turn the ac off. the hair dryer in the first room was also cracked and was blowing out cold air. The good was absolutely disgusting and the buffet had no variety. There were no non beef options at the grill on the deck. The staff had no personality, they were not friendly at all. During the safety demonstration, the employees completed a two minute demonstration of how to put on a life vest, which was the worst safety demonstration ever seen. After getting off of the ship we were left at the Bahamas resort after the shuttle dropped us off. The resort was the only good part of this vacation and the only thing not disappointing. After leaving the Bahamas resort we got just barely out of the gate when the bus broke down in nearly 100 degree weather. The bus did not inform us of anything that was going on the driver simply got off and walked down the road where we were left in almost 100 degree weather until the next bus came. We finally got back to the ship and we're all assigned different rooms. After getting to our second room we got inside only to find out that the ac which was attached to the ceiling did not turn on, it was broken. We proceeded to call the front desk and let them know that we needed a technician to check our ac to get it to work. We were told on two separate occasions who call it that "she would contact her supervisor immediately" regardless to say nobody ever called nor showed. An employee from the trip came to drop off a paper to each cabin and asked if everything was okay. I then proceeded to inform him that our ac was broken and we already called the front desk two times, he said he would personally let someone know but we should use the fan that was in the closet. Again not one technician or employee came to check on us or our ac. We slept in an extremely hot room with a barely working fan which made it even more disappointing and I comfortable. To also add in there was a $9 fuel charge added per person as well as a $12 housekeeping charge per person added to each person aboard the ship. There was a charge of $17 per day for a valet parking pass that we wrte forced to leave our car at the port with which came to $68 extra which also was not told to us prior to this trip. We then had to drive almost three hours to our hotel in Orlando where we would stay an additional two nights. After getting there it was told to us that there was an additional 21 dollar per day charge each night we stayed. Although the hotel was very nice and the staff was friendly we were again disappointed in the vouchers given to us. We were given vouchers for breakfast, lunch and dinner for each day at the hotel which were supposed to be good for two complimentary meals for each. At the Fort Lauderdale hotel we were informed that the vouchers were only $7 each and we would be responsible for the difference on the bill along with an already included 15% on each voucher bull used which again was never informed to us until our stay. At the hotel in Orlando our vouchers that were given to us were only good for buffet meals. It was never communicated to us that we were unable to use these vouchers at the hotel restaurant like the hotel in Fort Lauderdale until we were seconds away from ordering from the menu. Overall this trip was very disappointing and had a ton of hidden charges. If we were aware of all of these charges prior to traveling thousands of miles we would've booked a completely different trip for a lower price with no hidden charges. This is a scam !!!! Read Less

Please check this company out with BBB. I will be as much nicer in telling you about the highlights than what I initially planned. We were told many untruths. Actually most of what we were told wasn't true. I paid for a package that was sold as all inclusive, which the lady said included a dolphin swim. When I went down to make reservations the guy asked for an additional $198 each. Snorkeling was the same way. The all inclusive did not include dinning in the upscale restaurant nor the captains dinner on the ship. Did I mention it didn't include bottled water. You can get a little plastic cup and according to who serves you occasionally ice. The ship was a total disappointment. Pools were very small and uninviting. I was charged twice for our ride to the resort and told I didn't pay cash at the port. I did. We were charged for disembarking the ship, which they called an excursion. If you dinned at the good restaurant you were charged a $25 fee each for using the restaurant. Drunks slammed doors, yelled, cursed, fought all night, and bled all over the place. Urine on the toilet, dirty tub, and slow, salty help. I expected a wait at customs but all the waiting for your cabin and your room was beyond ridiculous. On the ship going back our comforter had food on it, the pillows had long black hairs on them. The second comforter was dirtier than the first. I'm going to stop now. I feel bad posting this but if one family saves their time and their wallet, I did the right thing. Please do your homework on this company. I just hope no one else makes my mistake. Oh and I upgraded or so I thought to have a balcony. The ship doesn't have any balconies. If that was the only untruth I could have lived with it. Read Less
