We have sailed on the Dream, Fantasy, Magic so decided to try the brand new Wish.. The ship is beautiful but that's where it ends.. The common areas are just small.. The atrium, dining rooms, adult sections are all small. Whoever designed really screwed it up!
The adult areas are tiny.. good luck getting a seat at the bayou or nightingales at prime time. The atrium is also much smaller than ...
This is our 8th Disney Cruise. We also own a travel planning business and are HUGE Disney supporters. Comparatively speaking, we were quite disappointed in this cruise. Much of what makes a Disney Cruise different and magical has been lost on the Wish. Where to begin?
Ship Layout - This is probably the most stark difference between the Fantasy and Dream. The layout of the Wish is not ...
My wife and I were originally booked on the fourth sailing of the Disney Wish. It was a four night sailing and it was cancelled because of construction delays caused by Covid. We were given 50% off the cost of a Wish cruise if we rebooked. With that savings we decided to do a back to back sailing and we tacked a 3 night cruise on the front end. With that decision came consequences, namely ...
We’ve been on all of the Disney ships and we were looking to see how the Wish compared to the others. Bottom line, we will not plan to sail on the Wish again. We prefer the retro classic decor of the first four ships over this one. The layout is also confusing and we don’t particularly like having to take three different elevators to get to deck 13. This is one for you to experience if you ...
I wanted to take some time and writer a thorough on our Disney Wish experience. I have read a lot of mixed reviews about the ship the cruising experience. For some background, this is our first Disney Cruise. My husband and I were traveling with our 3 children ages 3, 5, and 7. My husband and I have cruised on royal Caribbean and Celebrity in the past.
The stateroom was great. We stayed in a ...
We wanted to try the new Disney ship! We've been on the other 4 and loved it. Not so much with the Wish. The crew was great, the wait staff did their best to work in crowded dining rooms but there were large and small design flaws in the ship and the cabin we were in. We have been on other cruise ships and all of the ships have a deck you can walk around. On the Wish, the walking deck is half ...
Ship is beautifully appointed and service is top notch. However the layout leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of venues were hidden around corners or down long corridors. There was a whole bunch of venues we never saw until the end of the cruise because we simply didn't know they existed just by walking around the ship (Rose, Palo, and Enchante to be specific).
The adults only pool area is ...
The ship is nice. It still has the new car smell. If you're a previous Disney cruiser, it may have been a let down. If you're a new Disney cruiser, you may have loved it. It was a good cruise, but I wasn't sad to leave.
What's good:
Beautiful/well-themed venues
New food, finally - if you know, you know
Huge variety of specialty drinks for venues
crew - very helpful
no aft ...
This was our eighth Disney cruise (and 27th cruise in total), and first on the Wish. Travelling as two adults and no kids
We were so excited when the Wish reservations opened up, we booked right away for a trip in September - little lower price and a few less kids. I must admit some months after the initial booking when the final payment was due, I did have second thoughts on how expensive it ...
We went on this sailing as a family member was part of the entertainment on the ship.
From the beginning it was most difficult to contact a live body to answer questions not answered on their website. Was on hold for over 4 hours!
The navigator app was another challenge, not to mention uploading information the the app that required copies of vaccination card and current covid test.
The ...
