Royal Seas. Let me first say that there is nothing Royal about this. Don’t let the pictures of the brand new cruise ships fool you. The ship we got on was rusted and corroding away. They called us with an all inclusive package that in reality, was nothing inclusive about. We gave them a credit card number that we knew did not have enough to cover the initial $1,000 so that it would be declined and they could leave us alone. Well they had a way around that and charged it anyways so that we were way over our limit. After 6 months we decided that this was not something we were interested in. After trying to get a refund, we were refused and told basically that we either take it, give it to a friend, or forfeit the money. After some deliberation we decide to just go ahead and take it. We should have just forfeited the money. There was a bunch of taxes and hidden fees that were not included in our all inclusive package. We also paid $300 to upgrade our resort on the island so that our food and beverages were included. We set our date, book our flights ($400 extra), and arrive in FT. Lauderdale. After also upgrading the rental car (because we aren’t fitting comfortably into a Kia Rio $170 extra), we get to our hotel that Royal Seas booked us claiming to be a Ramada....yeah like 10 years ago. Let’s talk about false advertising here folks. The room itself was spacious, beds were not terribly uncomfortable, but the AC only cooled to about 78 degrees. Top that with only 4 tv stations, and the late night drug deals in the parking lot....we were not happy. Then we find out the next day our “orientation” was actually a Time Share tour. Living in a tourist town we know what a waste of time that was about to be...but they hold our Cruise tickets hostage until you endure 2 hours of “OMG it wont even cost you that much and you get this and this and this” better known as we cost more then a car payment and will bankrupt you into a contract you cant get out of. Come on Wyndham, you could have at least put us up in your “resort” to sell us a time share. After leaving 2 hours of our life that we will never get back, we call Royal Seas to complain about the accommodations, at first we get a rude little girl who very unprofessionally hangs up on us. As business owners, rule 1, never be the first to hang up. After calling back and speaking to management, they acted like they were gonna put us through to HR to put a formal complaint against that person, but we were hung up again, and only after saying they didnt have anything else available. Needless to say, we packed our bags, found the best little AirB&B 1 hour away and hightailed it out of there with our cruise tickets. Honestly, the AirB&B was the highlight of our trip. On day 3 we make our way to the port to board the ship. We get there at 11, stand in line for 1.5 hours, get charged $150 (taxes, fees, taxis, etc) and board the ship. Only to not have our rooms ready so we are forced to be around a bunch of strangers while hoarding our stuff because, well, they let anyone aboard. After barely eating a down right terrible lunch buffet, we sweat our butts off on the outside deck so the claustrophobia isn’t as bad before finally getting to go to our room...Where we promptly tried to hide in for 3 hours until the dang boat finally set sail. Let me say this right here if nothing else, they do not tell you what’s included, help you out at all, or care if you are getting everything you want out of the amenities included. We were afraid to leave the room for fear of having to be charged anything extra and at 18% gratuity alone, no thanks. Skipping ahead to the next morning (because there are just some stresses that needn’t be said) at 830 we all but ran off the ship to the hot island Bahamian air where we had to wait on a taxi to our resort. There’s our first indication that Islanders are not very friendly, especially when you’re a different skin color then them. We were ignored and left waiting for the next taxi because one female driver decided we weren’t her people. The next taxi held 12 people in it, 12 hot sweaty people, barely working AC, and a 20 year old van in desperate need of shocks. 20 grueling minutes later we arrive at the “all inclusive resort” where we were told to make sure we have a day bag packed because for 6 hot miserable hours, we would not be allowed to check into our room. At first we were excited. there was music, white (ish) beaches, and clear blue water. We found our own spot along the beach and took turns in the water (after all, trust no one, especially islanders haggling with you on the beach for Conch shells, marijuana, and Cocaine...yes, cocaine which we were offered 10 minutes after stepping foot on the beach.) 2 miserable hours later we get our buffet lunch (mediocre) and proceed to sit around for 4 more miserable hot sweaty hours before standing in line for 45 mins to get room keys. After walking to the absolute furthest room on the island we are met with a nice cool ACed room, but missing towels which an employee gave to us about 20minutes after getting in there. 7 hours in and we were already dead sick of being trapped in this resort. After looking into tours, excursions, and tourists traps (dont even ask about them unless you got money coming out of your ass because thats honestly the only way you’ll afford anything) the next day we purchased a rental car. $85 with taxes, we set off on day 2 with the resort in the rear view. While we found our own private beaches, coral rehabilitations, and deserted roads, the island is dirty, poor, and literally a living garbage can. Trash everywhere, run down buildings everywhere, abandoned hotels. It was downright sad at the state of what could have been a beautiful island. Day 3 we return the rental to an extremely rude owner who decided overnight that we were no longer worth mannerisms and check out of our hotel to get back on the dreaded cruise ship. I will say the return home was not nearly as bad now that we knew what was included but still, Royal Seas isn’t even comparable to one of those little rescue boats hanging off of a Carnival cruise ship. Before they con you into spending your hard earned money, think twice and read reviews. Splurge for Carnival, or stay away from floating death traps that hold a thousand people who would shove you overboard to save themselves and make your own way. AirB&Bs include house boats if you wanna be on the waters. Just saying. Read Less

I got off the Norwegian Sun today after a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas with my mom. Are you ready for this tale? After boarding on the first day, nothing was open and the rooms weren't ready. When we went to the room, we were given a single bed even though we booked a double beds. We feared my mother's luggage was lost, since it was several hours without it at the room. I spoke with another guest who said that his luggage was put on the wrong ship. We tried to call our room attendant "Brianna", but the number was a busy signal. We called Guest Services, but the number was also busy. The luggage finally arrived around 9 PM while we were eating what tasted like frozen food or bad airplane food in the main dining hall. We then met our real room attendant who explained that the number didn't work because "she went home today on vacation." Not sure why they couldn't replace the card with the correct attendant's name and number? Shortly after eating/drinking on the ship, we would get horrible cramps. We did not know the cause until after looking up the symptoms on the internet today (the cruise charged $35 per device each day for WiFi) that we had contracted THE NOROVIRUS! Why did we contract the Norovirus? "Washy Washy" was not everywhere on the ship and we watched the workers clean the tables without gloves and without disinfectant. The ship was dirty and we saw crumbs on the floor and on the tables everywhere. The tables were cleaned with wet rags and food everywhere was not bussed. So much so, that seagulls would have feasts on the deck outside on the questionable food no one seemed to enjoy. Comfortable sleep did not happen because we didn't have working AC the entire trip. We called maintenance the first night to fix the AC, but there still was no cold air circulating in our room. We would feel cold air while passing other guests' rooms and in other parts of the ship. The repair man explained that the coldest our room was allowed to get is 73 degrees and the ship utilizes "chilled recycled ocean water." However, 73 degrees would have been tolerable unlike the 80 degree room that we had. We were sweating laying on top of the covers every night tossing and turning. Everytime we reached out to Guest Services, a person who could not understand English very well would get confused and tell us everything was fine. To make matters worse, our toliet would not flush and the sink constantly made a loud gurgling sound. The toliet was fixed a total of 4 times and the AC was "fixed" about the same amount if not more. The bathroom smelled of rank sewage, so we had to constantly spray hair spray in there to not gag every time we had to enter. The shower was also repaired twice, since only scalding hot water came out. We spoke with 4 other guests that claimed their room FLOODED! The toliet and shower eventually worked on the last day of the trip, but the AC never worked. We are leaving the trip completely exausted (and sick). The entertainment on the ship was beyond cheesy and usually involved the ship begging for more money. The ship's shops were desperate money grabs, much like the $5.50 bottle of Aquafina placed in our room to "tempt" us. The food was subpar and every meal oredered was taking a chance. During one dinner, I ordered French Onion soup because I thought how can you mess that up? Much to my suprise, that was bad too. The soup tasted like only beef stock and had no flavors of onion, salt, or bouillon. The ship also kept trying to pass off certain foods as gourmet. For example, one appetizer on the menu was "cream cheese and crab stuffed wonton with a sweet chilli sauce". Isn't that called, "crab rangoon"? We noticed a lot of interesting menu items that we believed to be recycled leftovers from other meals like adding bacon to sauerkraut. We picked snorkeling/beach day for our excursion in Freeport, Bahamas which came be to around $150. When we arrived to get on the bus for the excursion, we were informed that the snorkeling was canceled due to weather. The ship did not inform us earlier of this and instead loaded up a tour bus full of guests whom we suspect were charged the full amount for a 15 minute shuttle to the beach. Instead, we went back to the ship and asked for a refund. We then caught a taxi which only came to $14 for both of us. The White Party/Glow Party was held from 10:30 PM-12:00 AM the night before a port of call was 7 AM. The party took place by the pool deck and it was raining. The workers were squeegeeing the deck and the DJ was trying to get the crowd to come out from hiding from the rain. After the rain stopped, the crowd came out to dance and consisted mainly of small children. The DJ played EDM music for a bit, then switched to explicit rap much to the horror of the parents in attendance. They had a twerk contest on the stage and parents were taking their children to leave. A woman with a see through dress and a thong on got in the splits and began dancing like a stripper on the stage for everyone to see, kids and adults alike. There were other people on stage dancing that kept it clean, but she had to be pulled off stage because she was showing her buttcrack/vagina. There looked to be children watching as young as 5-12 years old. The DJ was blasting Cardi B songs and asked the crowd of kids to sing along to the explicitly laced lyrics. I left after that, since I had no interest in twerking around little kids. Small things such as crew members not knowing guests' names, no towel animals, and no drinks being served by the beach chairs were also a disappointment. We cruised with NCL in 2015 and had a fantastic time, so we suspect there must have been a restructuring within management. The cruise reaked of budget cuts and corporate greed. We suspect that the workers were paid very little and we were told that they rarely get to go home to their families in their home countries. Sorry if this was too much to read, but I did not want to spare any of the details. I posted this on NCL's Facebook page, but it was taken down by the moderators (suprise). Read Less

Ship has been refurbished but not carpet and drapes in cabins . There is a musty Odor because they are so old. The only way I would ever go back on this ship is if They refurbished the cabins. I was on this ship in November, when it was in Singapore. Everything about it then was awful. It was hard to believe it was a Royal Caribbean ship . The improvements have been significant, but until the cabins are re-done they should not tell you it has had a complete makeover. They did add a lot of fun amenities that the kids and myself really enjoyed. The staff were nice. The breakfast overall in the Windjammer could use improvement. The meats looked so greasy. The dining room food was good and the deserts were excellent. Overall , everything was acceptable, except the old, musty , moldy smelling cabins. When they complete this , I would go back. I am a Diamond Plus C&A member. So I have A variety of ship experience. Read Less

Myself and my boyfriend booked this cruise last minute, about a month before sail date, because of an offer we received in our email that if we booked now we would get $500 onboard credit. This was our 3rd cruise together, the other two were on carnival. We’re from NY and so the cruise appealed to us because we didn’t have to pay for a flight or hotel before and after the cruise. Embarkment: Embarkment went smoothly and was quick. Our room was available as soon as we boarded. We were excited because this was the first time we had a balcony, unfortunately our balcony had a sprinkler above it so we would get sprayed with water every 30-45 minutes while out there. Things started to go bad the first day when we found out our room “didn’t qualify” for the $500 onboard credit. Which was the only reason we booked the cruise. And it’s not like we had an interior room we booked a balcony which was the most expensive option other than the haven. Ports: The Orlando port was the one we were looking the least forward to only because it wasn’t an island but nevertheless I was excited to go to Universal or sea world. We ended up not being able to go, and Disney wasn’t an option either. The ship get to Orlando around 1pm, leaves at 8 and it’s an hour to Disney, universal, sea world from the port. So you’d only have about 5 hours at the amusement park. We went to JFK space center-the only thing to do there is watch imax movies. 1/5 The Great stirrup Cay island is the cruise ships private island and other than the fact that the beach is crowded because everyone from the boat is there and sometimes there’s more than one boat, the island is beautiful, the food is free and it’s great there’s no one pressuring you to buy anything. So I give the island a 5/5. BUT you realistically only spend 4 hours on this beach. In order to get on this island you have to take a smaller boat from the ship. The disembarked then was a NIGHTMARE we waited in line for over an hour and then waited another 45 minutes sitting in an auditorium waiting to get on the transport ferry. And the staff was not clear about why you were sitting and waiting so long. Very disorganized. I would love to give Nassau a review because we were planning on going to Atlantis but I can’t because the captain cancelled the port due to bad weather. The funny thing was the day we were supposed to gonwas beautiful weather and the the captain sailed us right into a storm anyways and the last two days on the ship waves were making it up to our balcony and he boated rocked so bad. We were both sea sick for the 2 days. Food: The food was just alright. The sit down dinners in the main dining were good and the waiters were great and accommodating. The buffet had better options in comparison to Carnival’s buffet but what was disappointing was that there was no breakfast in the main dining room, your only option was the buffet. And there was no dress up night in the main dining room which is something we love about carnival. Disembarkment: A nightmare. Thank god we didn’t have to catch a plan. So slow and disorganized. Misc: The arcade was expensive we only used it once and that’s one of our favorite pass times The room was nice and the staff took good care of us Overall I’d give it a 1/5. At the end of the cruise we were glad it was over and felt like we needed a vacation after this vacation. So disappointing and a waste of money. I did win $400 in the casino though! Read Less

Chose this cruise based off of price and date of vacation. There was not much to do for young adults. We were unable to go on our shore excursion and they tried to charge us extra for a supplemental excursion. Pricing was not clear for the Spa. Still had to pay for the entire cruise even though we had to leave early because of maintenance on the ship. Very disappointed with the overall experience. Only positive was the food and comedians on board. The ship is very outdated and it showed. One of the main features is the Casino so if you don't gamble there was not much to do. The ship has a small pool outside and inside. Most of the time the Jacuzzis were closed which was disappointing. We received multiple answers from different members of the guest services staff. This caused much confusion. Overall, I would not recommend going with this cruise ship. Read Less

I had the best time of my life on this cruise I swear I did not want to get off. Matter of fact my cousin and I are coming back on the sunshine in October with other family members who have not been on a cruise before so I hope and pray we have as much fun as we did when we went in may. I can not wait to get back on the sunshine. I loved the games they played with the music. The club on the boat was very very fun. The drinks were amazing the kiss on the lips is the best yet. I recommend the carnival sunshine to anyone so I hope it is the same when we get back on in October. : ) Read Less

I did a lot of research before I purchased this cruise. I got a 'deal' through groupon, $269 for two people. When I called to book the cruise, I had to pay $65 per person for port fees. We arrived at 130pm, only way to park your car is valet, $18/ night, and only cash. There were about 300 people as we entered, no clear direction as to what was going on, we had to fill out paperwork for our on board credit account. We waiting about 2 hours in a line to get the room keys, and our info inputted ( which I had already done when I booked the cruise) . After this process we headed on board. The cruise ship is an old Carnival ship, VERY clean and polite staff ( this was the highlight) . They had a variety of entertainment that was suitable, nothing over the top. An adult comedy show was $12/ person, and wasn't that great. Check your weather as we had terrible motion sickness. We chose to venture out on our own once we arrived in Freeport. They loaded up 10 people per taxi for a 15 minute ride ( $10 round trip / person ) here you got to see the hurricane damage and a 'shopping center' with each store selling the same expensive stuff. $20 for a DORA shirt that said bahamas. AWFUL!! Honestly I would've just purchased souvenirs at the freeport port as you exit the boat and then spent the day on the now quiet boat. The excursions were expensive $100+ and I heard they weren't the best. A lot of people did they 2/4 night stay at a resort in the bahamas and apparently that was awesome. We had two twin beds pushed together to make a makeshift bed, it was awful and didnt lock even after asking housekeeping. Alcohol is very expensive, cheapest bottle is $100 of absolut, and soda you pay $20+ for unlimited . I would recommend getting drinks individually ( they had 50% off drinks during the entertainment, so wait for that) the drink package was $70 and was 10 8oz drinks, not worth it. $12 for a cocktail. Food was okay, set up was great, but certain things didnt taste right. we were sick and left the Stellar restaurant but the food looked amazing , also, there are two restaurants that are an additional charge, The Bull and Admiral club. You need your room key to get towels, and if you dont return them at the given time you are charged $20 per towel, same with room towels, if housekeeping comes by and you have taken a towel you get charged. Overall, we spent over $600 and this is without the excursions, definitely a waste for two mediocre days. DONT get this cruise, rather go to the Keys in a 5 star hotel. Read Less

- During the planning processes with royal weddings I had to go through 3 different event planners because I was told that the first two had left the company. I had to constantly call and email to get a reply back as to what was going on. It wasn't until A FEW DAYS before my wedding that we finalized the ceremony/reception for the wedding which was VERY STRESSFUL and FRUSTRATING. - On the wedding day we had to walk a long distance until we finally got to our car to get transported to the ceremony location. They did not warn me of this as it was very difficult walking the distance in my wedding gown and would have worn more comfortable shoes had I known. - We never received a wedding photographer that was part of the package. - Laptop was not provided as listed in our wedding confirmation. - The ipod dock used at the ceremony was old and not compatible with our phones (was told we could bring ANY apple ipod/phone to play music) so we didn't even end up using it even though we paid for it!! - Sound system to play ipod was NOT WORKING (event planner had to bring in small portable speaker to play music and was not loud enough to hear music - Event planner played the WRONG ceremony music!! - Arch was set up in an area really CLOSE TO PUBLIC GARBAGE can and was VERY visually DISPLEASING!!! - Event planner was not aware of when guests were arriving when I had instructed her to let me know when they were about to arrive which resulted in me having to race back into the car but guests had already arrived in the parking lot by then and saw me. - Event planner was not informative as to how the order of the wedding was going to go and everything was rushed and very chaotic!! - Food for the reception was terrible and cold. There wasn't enough food to serve 38 guests which left some guests not being able to have a main. Since we paid additional for the gold buffet package, we would expect there to be enough food and to be better than the main dining/windjammer but it was very very disappointing. - I was unaware and very disappointed to find out the day before that the reception area would not be arranged to have tables and chairs set up and that the lounge arrangement would remain as a lounge layout! When I had a phone call appointment with the event planner, i was told that the table arrangements would be made with the event planner on cruise but nothing was done. If I had known all of this I would have NOT done my once in a lifetime wedding with Royal Caribbean. I would NOT recommend ANYONE to do their wedding or go to this cruise based on my first time experience with them. Since it was my very first cruise experience I would think that because I have nothing to compare to that it would be good but I regret doing my wedding with Royal Caribbean completely. The whole experience was unorganized, disappointing and a huge embarrassment. Read Less

memorable and enjoyable place to vacation. It looked like a poor third world country. We refused to even get off the cart and had it take us right back to where we came from. We ended up walking down to the Hilton and having a few drinks at the outdoor bar until we were able to go back to the ship. The food provided in the “cafeteria” was embarrassing. All everyone kept telling me was how much I would love the food and the variety of items offered. Every time we went to the buffet the food looked like it was frozen, processed and reheated. We ate each meal at the outdoor grill where we could watch it be prepared or in the Prime restaurant. To add insult to injury when we finally made it back and were ready to de-board the next day we were told that we had to go back to the service desk as there was a “hold on our release”. I got upstairs to the service desk and was advised that my card was declined for $86 worth of incurred charges, that even included FUEL for the boat… I can’t even begin to understand how you would have the audacity to charge each passenger for fueling the boat but nonetheless I called my card company and was advised that there was a fraud protection hold that was on my card for a suspicious charge. Come to find out it was the drinks at the Hilton bar in Bimini but because it was in another country they took security measures. I advised the charge was authorized and was told the hold would be released in 24 hours. I relayed this to your customer service representative who then stated that I would be held on the boat until the balance was paid. After I explained to him that that was unlawful imprisonment, I asked to speak with a supervisor. I was first told there was not one available and when I insisted I was asked to wait. In my HOUR LONG wait for a supervisor I overheard dozens of passengers who had issues with credit card authorizations, one young lady had actually been asked to come the night before because they could not read the imprint on her card, she supplied it again on a new authorization form and THEY LOST IT!!!! Needless to say, after listening to complaint after complaint after complaint about charges I never actually saw a supervisor. The same gentleman kept telling me that “she” was on her way and when I started reiterating that I had a flight to catch he understood the importance of them moving expeditiously. However, I never spoke with a supervisor. I was told to wait for another half hour and then asked to sign a promissory note BY THE SAME GENTLEMAN WHO TOLD ME TO WAIT for the remaining balance (which I could have done from the very beginning when I advised they could run the card again in the morning as they had all the necessary information) After an hour and a half of waiting we were released to get off the boat but immediately heard an announcement that the customs area was full and they were asking people not to de-board until they could get caught up. We waited another 30 minutes before we were allowed to proceed off the boat and spent 2 hours in the customs area. Not only did I miss my flight but I missed a second flight home and we were not able to leave Florida until 8pm that evening (from a 10:40am flight). I spent my entire birthday sitting in customs and then sitting in an airport. My fiancée made dinner plans for the family that evening as my flight would have put me home at 2pm and the guest of honor was unable to attend as she was stranded in Florida, though we had family travel from out of state to celebrate with me. I have never been more disgusted with a company in my entire life. The professionalism, the un-organization, the blatant disregard for your passengers time, when offering such a poor experience is mind blowing. Read Less

I don't even know where to begin. First let me start by saying, typically we only cruise on royal caribbean (one of the most amazing cruise lines) but we decided to give carnival a shot. I can say 100% they blew there shot 110%. Very outdated. Disgustingly horrific customer service. Every staff member on board was rude and and absolutely no knowledge of anything we asked and barely spoke good english. There was food in the hallways from room service and it took them at least 1 day and a half to remove it. We had bugs, mold & mildew in our shower. I myself can understand a mistake or 2 but once we discovered dirty/used gloves on our bed from the state room attendant cleaning toilets showers and anything else that was the end of our belief in ever cruising with carnival again. Then the next day we discovered the state room attendant broke my wife $300.00 sunglasses. Their excuses was "we provide safes in each room, you guys should have used it". So i guess we aren't allowed to set our personal belongings down anywhere safely on carnival cruise lines. The on our last night we discovered what looked to be either old dried up blood or poop on our sheets. So basically the bottom line is, if your looking for cruises to attend, trust me when i tell you to stay far far away from carnival. If you have never cruised before you may not know the difference between good and bad cruise line service. So you need to take other peoples word for it in order to avoid making the mistake. It may seem like they have better prices than other cruise lines but with carnival your going to get much less than you bargain for. Look into royal caribbean cruise and you will be much happier with the results of your vacation. Carnival has absolutely not one single benefit on royal caribbean. Even a man had a heart attack and past away while cruising and it took medical response a very long time to show up. I know because my mother was the one performing cpr on the guy before they showed up. Read Less

I am not sure we will ever cruise again. The food on this ship was terrible!! Hamburgers, hotdogs and chicken nuggets for lunch by the pool! Terrible...not one dessert that was good except the chocolate melting pot..the cakes were dry, most desserts were some type of jello or pudding. Fish entrees at dinner DRY DRY DRY...the Caesar dressing tasted fishy! way too much anchovies. It was like eating at a college cafeteria..in fact possibly worse. As far as activities go..unless you like to gamble, go to bars or drink there aren't any! $20 just to play bingo by the pool! The only positive thing I can say is that our cabin steward was FABULOUS - Deway was friendly, knew our names from the 1st night, made us little towel animals each night when he made down our beds, kept our room spotless! Nassau was fabulous...went to the RUI Palace for the day Freeport - tourist trap! Read Less

We decided to try something besides Royal Caribbean for my birthday this year. When we entered the ship the smell of cigarettes hit us in the face and we were not able to escape it the entire cruise. The color scheme on the ship is obnoxious and there was nothing nice, fancy, or elegant about anything on the ship. The decks are strewn with cigarette butts and other various trash and when you stand on the top decks, you cannot see the ocean because of the life boats on both sides. The food was extremely disappointing and one time the waiter asked me to try my dish because he wanted to see my reaction and then proceeded to tell me that no one has ever enjoyed that dish! Every time that we attempted to get food from a buffet they were closing it down. The night of the midnight buffet we walked up right after the show to get in line and a man put the rope in front of us and said "No this buffet is closed" even though there were still people in line and we stood there and watched them through away a ton of left over food but since we were 2 seconds too late, we were not able to eat. If we were lucky enough to get to the main buffet during the little time that it was ever opened, half of the food would be gone and they made little or no attempt to restock the items that people wanted! Going back to the timing issue: nothing is timed correctly. If you attend a show or are involved in an activity (which there were very few of) you can forget trying to make it to anything else because it already started or they closed it down. When it came to sanitation, the glasses in the rooms were placed rim down on the deck and bathroom counters! I watched a man making sandwiches at the Deli in the buffet room open the door to the fridge, touch a hand rail, get a new loaf of bread, and then open that loaf and proceed to make my sandwich without changing his gloves! I told him that I had lost my appetite after witnessing what he just did and he stared at me as though he didn't know what germs were. And good luck getting pizza! The only thing on the ship that is open 24/7 and there was NEVER anyone to assist us! There were even people standing behind the counter talking not in English that completely ignored us as we asked for pizza and eventually rang the bell for help!I did not see a single person working on the ship that looked as though they didn't hate their lives. Looking at the wait staff was depressing because no one was happy and no one was helpful. I understand that it is a very difficult job with long hours, but you have to suck it up and do your job with a smile on your face because that is what we are paying for! Take the piano man for instance. He was pretty good as playing and singing but at one point he stopped and started telling us that he hated the Sensation and that all other ships he has been on were much better laid out and nicer in general to be on. Good luck attempting to get from one place on the ship to the next too. The ship is so poorly laid out that it was nearly impossible to go anywhere. There are only two bathrooms in the public areas (that we could find) and they are not well maintained. The stalls are almost too small to enter (I'm 5'7" ad 130 lbs.) One of the toilets was sitting crocked and the tiles on the walls behind it were falling off. Most of the soup dispensers and hand dryers do not work. There is always a line because there is a shortage of restrooms. The gym: The fitness instructor in the gym was the worst leader of any fitness class that I have ever met! He assumed that everyone in the class knew what the different exercises were and did not need to be explained. So I decided to instead do my own workouts using the mats. The first time I was in the rather good size studio room and working out; he told me to leave because he had a spinning class to teach. I asked where else I could take the mat to finish and he said Not in here so I had to put the mat on the floor in front of the door where people entered and every time someone walked inside, I had to stop and move out of the way. I walked back to the studio to return the mats and there was ONE person in the spin class! I could have been over in the corner working out and not being in the way at all that entire time! The next time I went to work out, he was conducting a footprint analysis in the room with (again) ONE person and he would not even allow me to walk inside and get a mat to work with! So I had to find and fold up towels and lay them in the middle of the floor between the equipment to do my exercises. The very last night I noticed on my bill that I had a charge for a bottle of water that I never drank so I went to the front desk to have it corrected and he told me that he could not do anything about it and that I would have to find and ask my stateroom attendant to reverse the charge (It was 5am) The lady that introduced the comedians every night was rude if you tried to talk to her around the ship and gave this vibe that she was Gods gift to Carnival and she was too good to talk to cruisers. Thomas Brown was very funny on stage though. And we was also very wonderful to walk to off of stage. He was so pleasant and happy and funny that he was out of place on that ship. The only person that I can say anything positive about was our stateroom attendant. He wasn't the best at being proactive but he was always right there when we needed something and he was fast to make sure we got what we needed. There are so many more things that happened on this ship that I could continue to talk about, but I have to stop somewhere. If you are considering going on the cruise, DON'T DO IT! Save yourself the headache and rent a hotel room on the beach somewhere and play board games with your friends/family. I promise you will have a MUCH better time. Read Less
