After several cruises in Europe, we really wanted to visit the Caribbean. NCL seemed as good a choice as others. We went for the itinerary.
In short; the ship and service was great. Although she felt somewhat 'outdated' to us.
We had a nice aft balcony stateroom.
The 'strange lay out ones' as you can read all over You Tube...
A cupboard didn't close. A nightlamp didn't work, but ...
Disappointment in the quality of this cruise. This is my third NCL and 5th cruise and was the least enjoyable of my experience. The staff was frequently rude in numerous departments. You had to wait in line for everything including all restaurants and bars, which I've never experienced before. It was a minimum 20-30 minute wait for all bars & restaurants for service. There was a lack of activities ...
Last year we went on Royal Independence of the Seas and we had a great time. This time we decided to go on one of their bigger ships Allure of the Seas. First we didn’t realize they did NOT have any water slides for the kids. They had a small splash pad area that squirted water but it was very lame. We were able to make it to the Aqua Show on the back of the boat on the standby line and that thing ...
Over 20 cruises with Celebrity.
No typical champaign greeting...No playing cards at the concierge. No invitations to anything.
The maitre de went far beyond the call of duty, as did the waiters...but all their fine service couldn't help the flavorless food and lack of choices.
The entertainment in the bars and lobby areas were tolerable, but the stage performances were lackluster. The ...
I take no pleasure in saying that I've never dealt with a company that treats customer service as recklessly as NCL. There are several points for improvement. I'll focus on the most glaring issue.
On the final day of our cruise, a staff member at the photography studio yelled at us, and became extremely condescending, over their inaccurately labeled and stated prices. We were provided several ...
My wife and I have been on 17 cruises including this one. On Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Holland America Line, Cunard, Viking and 4 previous NCL cruises. This one was the worst.
Lines:There were lines for everything. We had to wait at least 1 hr before a show in line to get into the theater. We couldn't even get into cavern club due to no seats yet the Spiegel tent was unused for most of the ...
We choose Ventura for the ports of call. Alas, three were cancelled but the ports we did call at were in the main okay during our 35 night sailing. Never again on Ventura, the food was of poor quality, the service, hit and miss, the entertainment average, I don't think anyone would watch the acts if they appeared at venues other than on a cruise. The cabins, managed to a Travel Lodge standard, ...
I have been on a couple of cruises and thought I would try out Norwegian for the first time. Sailing on the Epic made me question whether I want to sail with this line ever again.
The ship is just super outdated! Particularly the rooms. I stayed in a balcony and they have these weird couches in them that are extremely stained and make me question if I even want to sit on them. The carpets are ...
Carnival is obviously struggling to pay off its debt from the pandemic. I have never been on a cruise where there was so much disorganization, poor customer service, weary employees, ineffective systems, and general apathy.
The Carnival Hub app is not very good. It does not show OBC at the onset of a cruise. It does not automatically transfer casino credits to your account. It does not ...
Went on this cruise as my sister-in-law lives in the area and wanted us to go on another cruse with them. Unfortunately we have really only had marginal to poor success with Princess Cruises. First let me start that we were both gold medallion suite guests as well as having purchased the Premier Package. We arrived at the port at our assigned times yet had a 45 min wait to get into the terminal. ...
