We meet with some special friends for a few days each year somewhere in Florida just to spend some enjoyable time together. We all enjoy cruising, so this year we decided to spend that time on the Bahamas Celebration. We were a little concerned because some of the reviews were not that great but we all wanted to try this inexpensive three day cruise. We all came away very happy with our choice of this year's get together destination. The ship is not the newest one we've ever been on but it was very clean and well maintained. We each chose the ocean view cabins and although they were small, they were comfortable, clean, and and very adequate for the small amount of time we spent in the cabins during this short cruise. The ship has all the normal features (dining areas, bars, a casino, pools, gift shop, entertainment lounges, etc.) but it also has a superb crew that makes sure you are enjoying yourself while you are on board. The food type was pretty typical for cruise lines and the service was great. Embarkation at Palm beach was great. We were on-board the ship with-in an hour of arriving at the port. We've never had that happen before but it seemed pretty normal for this port and cruise line.Getting off the ship at Freeport and back on was very easy and fast. The evening entertainment on-board was outstanding each day. We enjoyed all the performers. We all thoughly enjoyed ourselves and plan to do this again in the future. I highly recommend this trip for a great, short, relaxing get-away for anyone whether they are first time or experienced cruisers. Read Less

I'm not sure why this boat is not getting great reviews from everyone. I think this ship is fine for a 4 night ship. Everything looks new and clean. Reviewers claiming that this ship is "showing her age" and "not clean", I'm wondering if we were on the same boat???? I found it nice and just a smaller version of the bigger class of ships really. The food is very good. We ate in the Windjammer Cafe, the dining room at night and the Johnny Rockets and everything was good. The entertainment is good quality. We went to see the comedian and the song and dance number and they were both good. Our Junior Suite with a balcony was wonderful and well worth the upgrade price. It was very roomy and spacious for a room on a cruise. I'll always choose a balcony from now on. It was a totally different experience being able to go out and have your own private view of the ocean. The crew on this ship is excellent and all interaction with crew members was a friendly experience. My previous cruise was on the Royal Carribbean's Freedom of the Seas, a bigger and newer boat with the interior promenade and shopping area that is missing on the Majesty. But I have to say that on the Majesty's itinerary you are porting in a different location everyday so you don't need a lot of the extra's that are needed on the boats that stay out for longer periods of time. That is my opinion anyway. We spent time in the Casino and it was fun and they had all the games that you would want. My only complaint about the Casino is that I wish Royal Carribean would make it a "smoke - free" environment inside the casino. Too many smokers were just going in there as a smoking area and not necessarily to play the games. Of course, it smells really bad and when they are smoking, it is totally annoying!. We bought the waterpark ticket to the Atlantis as our exercursion in Nassau and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this! If you love water parks and aquariums, definitely purchase this one. We were so glad we did! The water slides and lazy river were so much fun and we counted this as one of the highlights of our trip. In Key West, we bought the trolley ticket to ride around the city and it was a great idea. They have an extensive trolley system and its a good way to get acclimated to Key West before you go exploring the city on your own!. In short, I recommend going on the Majesty of the Seas! Remember, a cruise is fun and any vacation is what YOU MAKE OF IT!. If you want to have fun, YOU WILL! Read Less

After reading reviews, i was a little nervous about entertainment and customer service aboard this ship. I was gladly mistaken! Customer service was great! The staff, no matter what rank, would have conversations with the fellow cruisers. Public areas were always clean and well kept. In the main dining rooms, were great. I did notice that the staff were more polite in Palace, not so much in Crossings. Il Idagio was very tasty. Although the tables in this restaurant were tiny, it was nicely set up. All the restaurants were never crowded. The buffet restaurants were always adequate with food and staff were always cleaning up all the time. The restrooms were always clean and stocked. Entertainment was good, not great. I thought the shows in stardust, that included dancers, could have been better, although husband liked them. My favorite were shows with comedian Rich Purpura. Trivias were very good. Interesting questions. Our favorite staff member was Elena from Romania and Erin. They were really polite and always helping out. The adult quest show was was good. The only thing i did not like about the entertainment is that they did big events in small areas of the ship, such as the adult quest show. The white hot party was a blast. Fun to watch and fun to join and dance. We did not get to go to the cruise line's private island due to high waves. This is not the cruise line's fault. They did do a good job by changing the itinerary to accommodate more shows and entertainment. Bbq buffet was moved to the pool deck. The $5 24/7 pizza was very good. The room service menu was indeed very short compared to other cruise lines, but delivered adequately fast. Room attendant did very well adjusting my personal sheets due to detergent allergies. Daily itineraries were delivered on time every night. Boarding and unboarding the ship was done very fast. No waiting long times. Overall, the ship exceeded our expectations of a small cruise ship. There was always something to do or relax. I would give this experience a 4/5 stars Read Less

My husband and I travel quite a bit and are always looking for a new adventure. We had a marvelous time on our recent Bahama Celebration cruise and valued each effort that was made by the cruise staff to make our trip a happy one. The most outstanding component of the cruise was the wonderful young people who are employees of the cruise line. They are eager to please and so very accommodating. Their service was always with a smile and a desire to help. The food was quite good and presented attractively. We enjoyed the variety of food items offered. The movement of the ship through the water was very smooth and comfortable. By far the least motion we've ever experienced on board a ship.My husband needed assistance with a C-Pap machine for sleeping. We did not have the proper adaptation for the electrical current on the ship. One call and our need was addressed in less than 15 minutes.Due to family illness we had to reschedule our trip from fall of 2010 to March of 2011. The cruise line worked with us and allowed this change with minimal communication and NO charges as it was a health emergency. We truly admire the nation of the Bahamas for its creativity in bringing tourist to their islands in an affordable way. We hope you have many years of success. Read Less
