A fabulous Easter Norweigian Fjord Cruise

Well, we have been home for a week now so time to look back on our 7 night Norwegian Fjord Cruise on Azura. By way of background, just to say that we travelled as a 50 something couple, with no children. We like to do our own thing on cruises and we don’t tend to go to the theatre for the evening shows as they generally don’t interest us. We are happier enjoying a nice meal and a cocktail or 2 ...

We are just back from one of the best cruises we have had on the beautiful Azura. Fantastic from the moment we pulled up in the car portside and had our bags efficiently whisked away to and the smiling check in ladies and gents. Our cabin was available immediately and our bags were there before we were, and it only took us 20 minutes to board! Our cabin was immaculate, and bright and ...

Fjords and Azura for the first time

Travelled as a family to Norway for the first time. Also first time on Azura. We arrived earlier than our embarkation time and did not have to wait long in departures to get on the ship. We chose a balcony cabin on deck C because of the larger balcony and it was brilliant. We found the cabin big enough for a week with a teenager in tow, lots of storage. Our cabin steward was lovely and very ...

Had a wonderful time yet again aboard Azura.Embarkation went very smoothly, when you choose a suite you get into the private lounge and get aboard very quickly, always makes for a good start to our holiday. Went straight to Sindhu for a champagne (er fizzy wine) lunch before getting to our room. What another great start, waiters are so friendly, don't believe some reviewers when they say waiters are ...

Surprisingly good cruise

We needed a last minute cruise and as we booked only 18 days in advance this was the only cruise we could find with a balcony. We had not travelled with P&O before, though had done a few ship visits at Southampton. We had no problem with embarkation-within 40 minutes of arriving at the Terminal we were at our cabin. Our luggage followed within two hours. To be honest, we were a bit ...

Had a great week on board the Azura last week to the Norwegian Fjords. I have Coeliac disease so require a gluten free diet. As instructed I'd called prior to the trip to register my special diet. On arrival in the cabin there was a letter waiting for me to confirm that they knew about my requirements and that each evening someone would take my order ready for the next evening. The menus are ...

Always been a bit negative toward the concept of cruising, particularly on larger ships but I really should have done it years ago. Talked to many passengers and crew on the Azura and got the impression it was one of the most loved in the P&O fleet. Embarkation was quick and easy and from there on, it only got better. Dining was amazing, from the many courses fine dining to pool side snacks, the ...

Second time with P&O. Went with my mother in June on Aurora. This time with my husband on Azura, what an amazing ship. Our cabin (although not reserved) was fantastic and very spacious, the queen size bed wonderful. We were in E603 mid aft, no noise except the air con. Partially obstructed by lifeboat but that didnt bother us. The ship was very well maintained and our cabin steward ...
