Stress from the start

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Azura

Chose to go with p and o because of recommendations from friends . This was our first cruise, only my husband and myself in the party . Our baggage labels were sent to us and printed and put on our cases . We had confirmation of a free upgrade. When we reached the embarkation point we were told those labels didn’t match our cabin. The staff didn’t know why so we were left waiting until they found ...

A disappointing cruise saved by a brilliant itinerary!

We chose this cruise due to its brilliant itinerary visiting 3 ports in Croatia (Split, Zadar & Dubrovnik) and one in Greece (Corfu). Initially we were supposed to go to Trieste (gateway to Venice & Slovenia) however few months before the cruise we were informed that Trieste would be changed to Corfu which was our first disappointment. We flew to Malta from London Heathrow on Air Malta. There ...

Poor for those with dietary needs. Everything tired and run down with cost cutting everywhere.

I have been on several cruises before with P and O, and Royal Caribbean. Overall - There were a few good aspects, but I would not sail on the Azura again. It felt like a cut-down, budget experience and totally lacked any imagination or flair. Apart from our evening waiter (who was brilliant), the staff seemed bored, overworked and did not put any effort into making the holiday a special ...

Just back from a one week cruise on the Azura which I booked having very much enjoyed my first P&O cruise three years ago. I expected the same experience as last time. Sadly this did not happen. I heard many seasoned cruisers saying that the food was poor and the service not as great. This is also my view so I spoke to a senior member of the on board management team and can now report the ...

Petty rules, no officers

Was weary of going with P & O and I was right, firstly the awful smell of sewage on deck 7 all through one of the cabaret bars, not an officer in sight all the first week. Secondly the petty rules associated with the drinks package, you were allowed 15 drinks a day, but no doubles. At the bar I asked for 2 single gins ( using 2 of my 15 allowance ), but no, I could only have 1 and had to wait 15 ...

We booked this cruise last minute as we have never been to Norway. We have two girls age 13 and 9 who were very excited as we have been cruising with Royal Caribbean in the past and they thoughly enjoyed the experience. This was not however the case P&O sell this ship as family friendly it is if you were brought up pre war when children were to be kept in nursery it or play rooms, They was ...

We chose this as we'd done the Med to death and knew all the ports inside out but with a tight time window, we jumped onto this ship to see the fjords and try P&O. Whenever we've gone out of Southampton before, it's been pretty slick getting on the Indie but this was from the Mayflower terminal. We turned up at the time we were told to arrive and, just as any doctors waiting room, we had to ...

My wife is a seasoned cruiser, having been a top act on Cunard in the 1970s and 1980s.I've been cruising for about 14 years ,having tried quite a few of the cruise lines. Our friends ( who came along with us) are also regular seasoned cruisers. Although , of course, the four of us have different tastes in food, wine, entertainment etc we are agreed that the P&O Azura was the worst cruise ...
