Another relaxing break with P&O

Just got back from a quick break bargain cruise on the Azure......Usual wait in Southampton as they called your letter out to join another queue.....all understandable as its one heck of a large ship. Why are so many waiters and staff so miserable looking.......we cheered one chappie from Goa up who was so sad, he explained he was missing his family.A lot coasted miserably around seizing your ...

Big ship!! Yes a big ship, but totally disoriented! We were on C deck our restaurant was on the deck below, but you had to go up one deck to go along then down 2 decks! Also had to go through cafe restaurants on deck 12 to go to another part of ship on same deck, no deck travels around ship which is a crying shame because it is so nice to walk around the ship. Anyway I digress, positives are the ...

We chose this cruise as we went on a P&O cruise for the first time last year and decided that P&O were our favourite of all the cruises we had done. The food was very good and we loved the Buffet meals, although it was a problem at breakfast trying to find a seat (walking around with hot food, going cold). We visited Atul Kochhar's restaurant (this was absolutely excellent). The Verona ...

Good Cruise on Azura but will not rush to cruise with P & O

Check In Have cruised several times with P & O and check in not normally a problem, this time two hour wait which was not a good start. There just did not seem any urgency and on several occasions the staff manning the check in had no passengers waiting despite the departure hall being overflowing. We joked that our cases would be on the ship before us and low and behold they were at our cabin ...

We set sail from Southampton about 2 hours later than we should have due to a car carrier ship being in the way. The Sailaway party didn't happen as it should have but there was no announcement to this effect. First port was La Corunna, we chose not to get off here and judging by people's comments, we didn't miss much. Second port was Bilbao, not that impressed here either. The best was the ...

What did we enjoy most about this cruise ? 1/ P & O do try hard to give you a good time, by giving you very good service whether it may be in the cabin, the buffet restaurants or the main restaurants & varied, good quality entertainment at any time throughout the ship. 2/The staff are polite, efficient & well trained, whatever their duties. 3/The ship is immaculately presented, ...

Liked the P&O offering but not the ship

Having only been on RCCL cruises in the past, this was our first P&O cruise. We liked the P&O style of cruise, but not the ship. - The lower balconies in the deluxe rooms are overlooked by higher ones thus providing no privacy. - The prom deck does not run round the front of the ship: you can access the bow but only from E deck and it is not signposted anywhere. Had I not noticed it ...

We have just returned from a 7 night cruise with P & O visiting Vigo, Lisbon, Bilbao and Brest. Let me start with the fact that despite what comes next we did have a good time but would like to share with you our opinion of this particular cruise and ship. The Ship - very big, very well fitted out although our cabin continually creaked and groaned and made enough noise to prevent a decent ...
