This was my second Azura Cruise this year, and it was a definite improvement on the first. Reception stated the ship was at capacity on the day we set sail. My review is based on the ship and staff, your cruise is also impacted by the other passengers on board with you, which during my cruise were sadly quite rude and this did impact things like shows where they were leaving the theatre before ...
We chose the ship for the intineraries and for the faciilites it offers and we did two single week cruises in June of this year and then in November rather than a single two week holiday. Having cruised mainly on RCI and Celebrity ships, the Azura falls short, but mostly in ways that could be remedied. The feeling we had is that P&O is a notch below the other lines in terms of service and quality. ...
So disappointed, we are seasoned cruisers and booked this because it was inexpensive but really regret it now as ship is falling apart is not maintained and in our opinion dirty especially the public toilets where the tiles and skirting is full of grime. The food in the buffet is just awful and reminded of school diners, there is no bakery on board just reheat frozen bread. The food in the main ...
2nd P&O cruise for myself and my partner. We had a fantastic time visiting some great locations and met some lovely folk during our time on Azura.
Embarkation was pretty smooth, had to wait a little while on luggage being delivered to cabin but not a major issue. We had an inside cabin which was spotless. The cabin steward was lovely and did a fantastic job.
Food - we loved The Glass ...
Whilst the crew were attentive some had only very limited English. The ship was immaculately clean and our cabin steward was lovely but the ice bucket ordered for 6pm each evening more often than not failed to arrive on time if at all.
The food for the first 2/3 days was tepid and we regularly sent back cold coffee.
There was no information given about ports of call other than to suggest ...
Well Azura delivered again. Flights, transfers perfect. Flew with Jet2 on the brand new 321neo out from Manchester flight was 6:55AM lovely aircraft and great crew. Night before since this was a scheduled flight we were able to check the luggage in the night before then in the morning go straight to security. Next year we fly with TUI to join the ship and its a shame we are not able to do this it ...
we have just returned from a cruise on the azura along the croation coast flying from malta,we went with another couple ,the cruise on the azura & with p & o was very good & i dont understand a lot of the negative reviews i looked at before we left.
ok a few small issues like the buffet being crowded at times, which it will be because you have over 3000 people on board.
the balcony cabin ...
This is my second time on Azura, but the first time I have been on her at capacity. Found it a bit dauntingly busy in places but the staff really tried their very best to keep up with busy bars and dining rooms.
Dining - A shame the app wasn't being used in my opinion. Instead quite a lot of queues and buzzers for the Main Dining rooms. The staff were clearly under enormous pressure. Breakfast ...
Never again. First time on p&o. so disappointed. Bar service non existant. Sometimes had to wait for over a quarter of an hour just to order a drink. And another to be served. Food——- . Most street food is even better. Buffet so poor with almost no choice at all. The meat when available was as though as leather. We have been on various different cruise lines but never like this. So poor. Asked ...
Too many overweight and ill mannered seniors on board (although there were quality passengers also).
Too few comfortable seats in desirable areas unless constantly harrassed by (very polite) waiters to buy drink after drink.
The instant you emptied a cup, glass, or plate it was removed by waiters (sometimes they had to be told to leave glasses alone).
Loud, unpleasant "Rap" music piped ...
