Only our third cruise and the second on Azura.
Embarkation; We left Mansfield early as we had been warned about the Southampton marathon and the resulting delays. We arrived at the Ocean terminal three hours before our allotted time but boarded almost immediately with our luggage in the cabin shortly afterwards. We were both impressed with the ease and efficiency of the whole process.

We arrived exactly at our check in time and were able to check in immediately. It was an efficient check in with minimal queuing. It seemed many people had arrived earlier than they were advised and had to wait a long time in the hot lounge. Overall a very good experience- we were able to go immediately to our cabins and our luggage arrived soon after.
The cabins are well appointed and ...
It all started so well. Just a short break to celebrate my retirement. The journey from our home in Somerset was one of the best we have ever had as it was Easter Sunday and there were no shops open!
We arrived at Southampton and joined the lengthy queue for CPS parking. After about 30 minutes we were processed and heading for embarkation in the Mayflower terminal. We had been given a ...
We usually travel on Princess cruises but we booked this cruise as friends of ours were already booked on it. The embarkation went very smoothly which is the only good point of this ship. The fridge was stocked with bottled water and a few cans of Coke Cola which they charged £1.50 for the water this having paid £7000 for the suite. On most cruise ships there is a lot of complaining about one ...
We were on board the ship within 30 mins after arriving at mayflower dock. Our cases and car taken and boarded with no problems. We went straight to our cabin and our cases were already inside! Brilliant service.
We had booked 4 cabins next to each other and each was clean and welcoming and our cabin steward Marana kept it that way thoughtout the 14 nights. The cabin was plenty big enough ...
Chose this cruise as it was going to the Greek Islands. We travel regularly with P&O usually on adult only ships but chose the Azura this time due to its itinerary. The cruise itself was great, brilliant ship and lovely cabin. Weather excellent except for one day. Our cabin steward was so helpful and all the staff very helpful and friendly. The captain is excellent ,so friendly and humorous.

Firstly, it has to be said that cruising is not what it used to be.Years ago you where treated as a guest. now you are just one of many on a floating hotel. The initial cost of a cruise looks very inviting. However. once on board there are many activities and additional places to eat, many of which have a cover charge, ranging from £5 to £75 per person this can quite quickly add up should you take ...
This was our first cruise with P & O, having previously cruised with Princess and RCI. We chose it due to itinerary, Reasonably low price including OBC, and dates.
Our immediate reaction when boarding was that the cruiselines are very alike.
We arrived early and waited for 50 minutes to board, we made our own way to the cabin, nobody was around to direct us, as we have had on other lines ...
I'm so glad I didnt read Trip Adviser reviews before I went as I would have been really worried but we had an amazing time on a fantastic ship, We went for my husbands 50th birthday and apart from a few minor things we loved it. The ship was spotless and constantly being cleaned, the food was good and you could be as formal or relaxed as you chose. We dressed up for 2 of the 4 formal nights which ...
Went on a family holiday. Never cruised before and wasn't sure it was going to be our type of holiday! Had inside cabin, which was absolutely fine as after seeing balcony room would not have been happy to pay £1000 more just for a tiny balcony, rooms were the same size, bathroom was very small, would have preferred it slightly bigger. Wouldn't go in school holiday again as far too noisy and too ...
