Was a bit apprehensive as I had an 'OK' experience on the Britannia last year to the Canaries. Need not have worried as the ship was much better.
I did not have a bad meal. The lunchtime Sindhu 'tapas' menu for £4.95 was brilliant value.
I had a balcony cabin on Level 12 at the stern. It was clean, well maintained by the steward, and the balcony was much better than on the ...
Our first cruise and we chose Azura because it was going to St Petersburg. We were not sure what to expect and were somewhat apprehensive with 3000 people on board but it exceeded our expectation. Organisation was excellent getting on and off the ship, particularly in St Petersburg with most of the passengers going on excursions. Cabin was fine with the steward attending at least twice a day. ...
although the cruise was good in many ways the one disappointment to my friend and I was the balcony!!! we paid over 1,600 each for an outside cabin with balcony HA! Canada deck 099 room ok, balcony what a let down no glass front like all the others, overhead blocking out any sun the bridge, also to the left a huge stantion holding up the bridge and a large light fixture on the left hand ...
It seemed to take time for things to warm up on the ship (atmosphere wise) but did improve and we met some great people.
This was our 4th trip now with P&O and whilst we enjoyed it we didn't seem to get the same feeling as we did on the others (e.g. Ventura, Oceana and the lovely Britannia).
The port stops were brilliant and Tallin, Stockholm and Oslo were our favourites and we could ...
A couple of weeks have gone by since my husband and I disembarked the Azura in Southampton, after our Baltic cruise. So it’s time to put pen to paper – or rather jot down a few notes on the old laptop, before the memories become too hazy.
This was our fifth cruise but our first with P & O. Last year we sailed with Royal Caribbean on the Serenade of the Seas and in 2013 with Thomson on the ...
We enjoyed a 40th Wedding Anniversary Cruise to the Baltic that left Southampton on 20th June 15.
The ship was spotless, the staff were immaculately turned out and it was obvious that they were “happy bunnies” [ unlike some recently encountered on Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth]
We were on a Strictly Come Dancing Theme Cruise and the dance professionals did not disappoint.
Ports were ...
We had booked this cruise last minute as a much needed break after a difficult personal time. We wanted to leave from Southampton but weren't concerned about the itinerary. We did find Azura a big ship and I never quite mastered the geography but the maps and the details by the very slow lifts. We enjoyed the food and thought there was plenty of choice ( we were on second sitting in the Peninsular ...
This was our first visit to the Norwegian Fjords, on a 7 day cruise from Southampton with P&O. The weather was generally good, enabling us to enjoy the spectacular scenery. Overall, it was a great holiday and Azura made a good base from which to explore. Some aspects of the break were better than others. Norway was great, Azura was good, service was polite if not friendly, some of the meals on ...
We booked this cruise 4 weeks before sailing on a 'Getaway' fare offering a substantial saving as we were fairly flexible on dates and destination. It seemed that there were many passengers paying these reduced fares judging by the people we got speaking to during our time on board.
Embarkation was reasonably speedy and efficient although I was surprised that with all the negative publicity ...
Having completed a small number of cruises at every end of the spectrum (Crystal to MSC), I expected P&O to sit right in the middle-- and it does. We (both male, 35 & 39) booked Azura as a last minute getaway fare, almost entirely on a whim and in need for a simple week away. Admittedly, I had been keen to try the line and indeed this ship for some time, so when the choice came up between an ...
