Azamara provide a truly beautiful experience

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Azamara Quest

The ship is very richly decorated and the staff are highly attentive particularly compared to larger ships. The Varandah stateroom was a pleasure to be in and excellently cleaned and tidiesd regularly. in terms of service I particularly recommend two Ukranians Katerina serving in the cabaret and and Irina in the cafe and a Hungarian, Lazar, in the cafe. The entertainment was superb and the in ...

Good overall with some limitations

We had previously travelled with Celebrity and Cunard on 2500 to 2800 size ships. This is a quarter of those. The food was good but no better than the larger ships that don't claim to be luxury at the same level. Service was excellent with very friendly and helpful staff. Most drinks are included and it was nice to have wine with a choice at each meal included. The smaller ship meant that we met ...

We choose this ship as we liked the itinerary and we were keen to try a smaller ship. We traveled with 2 other couples and we all loved Azamara. We had traveled previously 3 times on celebrity cruise ships which we loved and twice on priinces cruise ships. Azamara Quest is our new favourite. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The food in all areas was some of the best food and meals we have ...

Disappointed

We chose this cruise based upon advertising and online recommendations. In a nutshell, the Azamara Quest over-promises and under-performs in many areas, all while charging premium dollars for the cruise. First, we have been on well over 100 cruises and my wife and I agree that the crew on the Quest was the best of any of our many voyages. They were consistently "GREAT". Also, the Captain ...

Not average but not very good either

We booked the cruise based on reviews from family. Right off the hop we were warned we would be a bit young (me 42 wife turning 40) There were some looks at first, but I didn't feel out of place. Sorry this is more of an itinerary review than a ship review. First impressions were good. The crew were very helpful, and I was surprised by the amount of senior officers present during the ...

We chose this cruise because of wanting to try something different; we have sailed exclusively on Royal Caribbean and had heard great things about Azamara, For the itinerary we had been to Italy and loved it so much, but wanted to spend more time there. This cruise started in Venice and ended in Rome, with many ports in between that we had not visited. It did not disappoint! The ship ...

Azamara Quest Venice to Rome September 2017

Our first ever cruise and it surpassed our expectations. Room was amazing, food was delicious and varied, staff were great. Will definitely recommend and hope to sail with them again. The Azamazing evening was wonderful, as was the Tenor. The shows by the Azamara singers and dancers were good. Didn't use the Spa or the Gym (was generally otherwise busy), but they looked good. Went on ...

Azamara Quest- A First Timer's Perspective

We are recently back from a 10-day voyage from Venice to Rome on the lovely Azamara Quest. We are experienced cruisers with 50 plus voyages on ships of all sizes and shapes. Getting frustrated with the mega-ships, we were eager to go back to a smaller vessel that looks and feels like an ocean liner. We booked this trip approximately 18 months out and our first impressions of Azamara were not ...

Different from bigger ship cruising

First time on Azamara, drawn by the itinerary but pleasantly surprised by the intimacy achieved on the smaller vessels. Got to know fellow passengers, both on and off the ship, as everywhere we went on-shore we bumped into people we knew! Most derived from Cruise Critic trips, it must be said. That way we arranged two lengthy trips off the ship at far better rates, covering more sights than ...

It was our 25th wedding anniversary so we decided to splurge the kids inheritance and book this cruise. We've cruised with Celebrity, NCL, Royal Caribbean and dare I mention Costa. We are at an age now where we want a cruise that's more adult focussed and higher end. Azamara certainly delivered on both. Embarkation was a breeze in Venice after an overnight stay. Made our way to Mosaic Cafe ...
