Fantastic transatlantic cruise!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Azamara Onward

This was our second Azamara cruise and it was wonderful. This was a transatlantic cruise and we encountered some rough water. Nobody’s fault. We still had a fantastic time! The ship was beautiful and very clean. The food was amazing! The entertainment was beyond fabulous, thanks I’m sure to Eric the Entertainment Director. The shows were way better on Onward than on Quest last year. The crew ...

Having been on large and river boat previous cruises we decided to opt for a medium size line and Azamara Onward fitted the bill. We had a truly wonderful holiday and would recommend the cruise line 100%. Everything about it was perfect. We cannot praise the Staff enough - helpful, enthusiastic, friendly. All good. The catering was excellent. The entertainment was first rate. No complaints at ...

We booked this crossing as we were headed back to the States after a long holiday in Europe and the departure and arrival ports fit our plans. This was our 35th cruise and our 5th time on Azamara. The best part of the trip were the people we met on board. We had many fun evenings over drinks in the Living Room before dinner and dancing after dinner. We booked a large suite and were very ...

I just enjoy getting away on my own from time to time and cruising is my favorite way to escape. It is always more fun to have my travel buddies with me but it’s not always possible and cruising is a way to make new friends or hang out alone, if you prefer. For some reason, “all in the same boat” seems to be the perfect motto for single travelers and the reason to travel that way. Azamara ships ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Azamara Pursuit

Found a deal on the transatlantic cruise and boarded in Barcelona. Boarding was easy and quick. Our suitcases were at the door before we were! Due to approaching we weather we skipped Gibraltar and Madeira and went to Santa Cruz de Tenerife instead - a worthwhile visit. We got credit for the skipped port charges. Kudos to Captain Antonio for outrunning the storm, we had a a couple of days ...

Crossing the Atlantic, in November, on a small ship!

We had always wanted to try Azamara as they are the upscale product of RCCL and Celebrity, and our loyalty status transfers over equally from Celebrity. The ship is small - 30,277 tons and accomodates up to 694 passengers. Azamara caters to an upscale, sophisticated cruising crowd. There were no children on this crossing and a large percentage of the guests were retired. The ship's public ...

I have cruised Azamara many times, but first time on my own. I met so many nice people who asked me to join their company that I never felt alone. There was one issue that most passengers were concerned about. that was the issue of "service dogs" Even avid dog lovers could not get over the fact that if you need a dog to dine with. You should also need a dog when you dance on deck during the ...

Repositioning trans-Atlantic cruise

We chose this cruise because of itinerary. Unfortunately due to hurricanes in the Caribbean 2 scheduled stops were changed but can't blame Azamara for the weather. We sailed from Barcelona having had 5 days in Barcelona prior to cruise. We stayed at Avenida Palace hotel which was very good and a short walk to all the sites. Embarkation was not as smooth as previous boardings with Azamara. Took a ...

Good -- but room for improvement

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Azamara Quest

With a little more planning and attention to detail by the Cruise Director and his team, this could have had a five star rating but opportunities were missed. The inadequacy of planning was most noticeable in the failure to ensure that lectures about port information were given before the port itself was reached. Quite why some sea days had no port lectures scheduled, resulting in them being ...

Southampton to Montreal Repositioning

We booked this cruise almost 23 months before sailing, as the ship was being repositioned to Montreal for a Charter. We paid for an inside cabin, but were upgraded to a V2 balcony cabin. Although we rarely used the balcony due to poor weather on the Atlantic crossing, it was useful for taking early morning photos when we arrived in port. The weather in all ports of call was good, more than be ...
