Reimagined Azamara pushes all the right buttons.

We enjoyed five days in Miami enjoying some much wanted winter warmth before boarding the ship. We stayed at the Intercontinental Miami which is very convenient to the port but perhaps a little impersonal. Maybe next time we will stay in a slightly smaller hotel. Embarkation was a breeze and very quickly we were onboard and enjoying the reimagined Azamara Journey. The changes to the ship are ...

Friendliest Passengers on the Seas

This was our 19th cruise on about 8 different lines. We generally take transatlantic crossings as a way to get to or from Europe. Fourth time on Azamara (AZ). We had a good time, highly enhanced by a group of extremely friendly passengers. I'm not sure what AZ does to attract such friendly positive people; they are so much more outgoing and welcoming than on many other lines. If you like ...

Just back from another wonderful cruise aboard Azamara Journey. The crew on this vessel are just incredible - the best crew of any cruise ship on the seven seas, and the ship looks immaculate, as always. The Journey will shortly be undergoing a two-week dry-dock refit and we look forward to experiencing the upgraded staterooms shortly after. We do however, have a few concerns. The new color ...

Pleasant Crossing on a Line with a Special Niche Market

We had a great time on this transatlantic crossing. IMO Azamara (AZ) does a fine job delivering to a special niche market that is neither mass-market nor luxury. As a result, most aspects of the crossing were very good, with a few things exceptional and a few areas that need work. One exceptional area is the fact that the Captain, Cruise Director, Hotel Manager, and entertainment staff are ...

This was our first cruise with Azamara having cruised around fifteen times with other companies. Embarkation was seamless with no queues at all - we arrived at the ship at 1230 for an 1800 sailing. Disembarkation was slower that seemed to be caused by USA immigration procedures. The cruise started in Barcelona with stops in Gibraltar, Huelva (Spain) then St Maarten, Virgin Gorda before ...

This was our first time on Azamara although we have cruised almost 20 times. Having said that, I must come clean and admit my favorite line is Seabourn. I also must admit that I compared the two lines and usually found Azamara came up short. I think my biggest problem was in overall service. We quickly learned that we needed to order multiple drinks at the first and usually only opportunity at a ...

This was our 9th cruise with Azamara and once again I was reminded of the main reason we keep returning. SERVICE. We are frequent cruisers and we know that there are pluses and minuses with every line. Azamara is not yet perfect there will be little glitches but their policy of requesting feedback early on in the cruise means that problems can be sorted out fairly swiftly We had to alter our ...

This was our second time on Azamara having cruised on the Quest in October 2013. We were overwhelmed on our first trip and felt we had been spoilt for other cruise lines hence the reason we booked again. Unfortunately we did not feel the same second time around. We noticed the first thing as soon as we stepped on board. Straight away the staff were 'hard selling' drinks packages and meal ...

We booked this in August 2013 when Azamara had an offer of inclusive flights and an upgrade from inside to Veranda and it just seemed like too good a deal to miss. As we'd never been on a fly/cruise before we liked the idea of a fairly relaxed dress code and thus not need to worry about the weight of all that formal attire. Also as we'd never been to Miami before we asked about being able to ...
