We chose this cruise based upon advertising and online recommendations. In a nutshell, the Azamara Quest over-promises and under-performs in many areas, all while charging premium dollars for the cruise. First, we have been on well over 100 cruises and my wife and I agree that the crew on the Quest was the best of any of our many voyages. They were consistently "GREAT". Also, the Captain ...
Friends had been on Azamara and suggested we join them. We were happy woth the itinerary, the ship was very nice and there were 2 very special events.
I gave a lower score because the service was less than acceptable. It seemed that the wait staff was staffed with a majority of new employees. It was very obvious.
Entertainment was extremely weak, food was slightly better than average and ...
This was our first Cruise with Azamara. Unfortunately our expectations were not met.
We knew that the “Quest” was an older ship but did expect that the service, food etc. would compensate for that.
The cabin - as for the ship itself - really needs a refurbishment. Especially the bathrooms, carpets etc. The cabin size is on the small side, which we knew though. The bathroom is very small and ...
We cruised the Baltic ports at the end of June on Journey. Previously we had sailed on Quest in Feb 2016, both ships being identical helped in navigating our way around. Both ships have been upgraded since and I was slightly disappointed that the BEIGE look in the cabins dominated, the heavy chairs in the dining room were ridiculously heavy and I needed help in getting closer to the table to ...
Grand Prix experience for a special birthday. Very friendly and helpful crew, with the exception of the Guest Relations desk and the Concierge, who could not or would not sort out a problem with thick black sooty particles all over our balcony for which we had paid an extra fare. This problem was not limited to us alone, the Owner's Suite which was next to ours also had a similar problem, which ...
We choose this cruise based on it's itinerary...Singapore, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Cochin India, Goa India, Mumbai (Bombay) India & Dubai. There were 7 days "at sea". I have been cruising for over 35 years....53 cruises....on many different cruise lines. In my opinion this cruise had the worst entertainment of any voyage that we have been on. Azamara has made the decision to eliminate all ...
The itinerary was the reason for taking this cruise, e.g. circling the island of Cuba. The tours were good and we saw a lot of the Cuban countryside and how people live in both urban and rural areas. There were some differences in the places we visited (between buses) -- for the same tours - not just the order of places visited.
We were somewhat bored toward the end of the cruise though. We ...
We booked this back to back a year before whilst on the Journey. Check in at Singapore was the worst we’d experienced in our long cruising history. Once aboard the customary welcome glass of champagne was not offered although other guests were walking around with them.
In fairness our balcony cabin was lovely - spotless clean with regular towel/bedding changes.
Our biggest disappointment ...
I'm so sorry you were unhappy with the entertainment on your B2B with us drummer2344. Please know we are continually listening to our guests' feedback. I will make sure the appropriate...
This all-inclusive cruise offered chance to visit 3 ports in Cuba and the pricing in January seemed enticing. Why not? Ship is 18 years old and IS small by comparison to most mainline cruise ships out there. However, it is well maintained and all service staff, all areas, do an exceptional job! Cabins (outside and veranda) appear to be average in size, i.e. compact. Great bed linens, towels, ...
This 10-day cruise focused on Cuba visiting three ports. The ship is older, pretty well maintained, but showing wear particularly in cabin bathroom. The cabin attendants were excellent and the dining room staff attentive and capable. The food was satisfactory.
There were some significant disappointments. Azamara promises no more than 25 participants on shore excursions. We had four shore ...
