Never tried it b4. tauted as a luxery cruise with top amenities. not true. cabin/crew service awful. dining room crew awful, poorly trained wait staff.
Shore tours were very expensive with poor guides. very little value for the money. over all i would have to say the tours were expensive, sloppily run and poorly organized. as you might tell by now, i doubt that i would ever sail on ...
Our travel agent recommended this GrandPrix Cruise as we then stayed on board for another 12 nights to Southampton Oh what a BIG mistake.Captain Carl made is first onboard talk,WE have sailed with him before very nice person. But what he said was alarming making it perfectly clear what to expect. It was more of a beer cruise than an 6 star Azamara luxury cruise Hardly anyone turned up for the ...
We were on the Azamara Journey for the transatlantic sailing April 5 to April 20 of this year and overall it was our 11th with Azamara and our 72nd cruise in total. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed and after returning home cancelled 3 future cruises with Azamara.
We prefer to dance after dinner, rather than sitting in a show, and unfortunately many evenings for us were tedious and ...
First of all, the crew was outstanding and also the entertainment, with the exception of the "amazing evening" which was far below average.
The food was good, although on two occasions, when my wife ordered from the menu, she was told that the item was not available.
We did not go on any ship excursions so I cannot comment in this area. They ship itself was well-maintained, the elevators ...
Having cruised with Azamara 4 times before and having just completed the 16 night CUT to 13 night Asia cruise on Azamara Quest we felt it necessary to post this review:
1. We did not receive any communication from Azamara regarding the shortening of the cruise - found this out by accident whilst checking the shore excursions on line, a few days before flying out
2. 'Azamazing evening' was ...
We have cruised numerous times with Azamara and with Seabourn, taking price into consideration until now have enjoyed them equally.
There were many problems on this cruise, the wine list was sadly depleted with several of the wines advertised unavailable. The food was just okay, again several obvious items missing. Berries were frozen and mushy and the fruit and juices were never varied. ...
I don't usually write reviews, there are so many good descriptions of cruises and ports I normally don't feel I have a lot to add, but this last cruise was such a disappointment and it was relatively expensive I thought I had to.
Six of us booked an Azamara cruise through the Panama Canal based on an earlier cruise I had taken and therefore recommended we ‘upgrade’ to Azamara. Unfortunately ...
We have cruised with Azamara before and were very pleased. This time we noticed a significant denigration with the quality of the food offered. There were always items at each meal that were acceptable. If we were cruising on a mass volume RCCL ship the food would have been considered good. However, we were on Royal Caribbean's luxury line, Azamara which competes with Oceania. A few examples ...
The second cruise after the dry dock, and they were still working on the ship! No washers or dryers, painting the baseboards, areas on deck partitioned off with plastic, food not that well presented or tasty. The crew was not familiar with the ship, and we were all awakened by the PA system in the middle of the night with a 'medical emergency'. That doesn't instill confidence for the passengers, ...
We just returned from an 11 day cruise on the Azamara Journey. The ship had come out of dry dock prematurely. The company allegedly allowed only 2 weeks to do a complete overhaul. There were weather issues and allegedly supplier problems. We waited 5 hours at the terminal for " polishing" We finally got to our cabin only to find varnish fumes, wet varnish, no rod in the closet, tv not working and ...
